So all the reviews show me it's the right Bovada app, and when I download and install the app it says Bovada at the top, but beyond that it transcends into a blog about some couple named Tina and Alex. I requested a check be sent in the mail because I didn't want to get involved with Bitcoin, a wallet, a blockchain, etc. It felt kind of more of a hassle than receiving a check. But it isn't that much of a hassle. Also I received a phonecall from Bovada who helped me gain confidence for using Bitcoin. I wanted to vouch for them and give you my rundown of how easy it is. 1. Download CashApp app. It's trusted. Verify your identity. 2. Download Blockchain app. It's trusted. Create an account. 3.On Blockchain app, click "recieve" to generate a code. Copy the code. 4. Go to Bovada, go to withdraw, withdraw your desired amount, paste the code. 5. Transfer your funds from your Blockchain account to your CashApp account using the same method. 6. Sell your Bitcoin and cash out.
For some explanation, Blockchain is used so CashApp doesn't trouble you for transacting with Bovada. Everything can be done by your phone with trusted apps. You don't have to use CashApp but it's what I used. The steps are literally make an account, copy & paste and wait for money to move around.
I hope this gives some people an understanding on how easy it actually is.

I've been trying to get Bovada to work on two different macs and on both I get this error:

The application “BovadaPoker” can’t be opened. 

I think it used to be slightly different before the latest OS update, but it was the same result. My security settings are set to allow apps from anywhere.
Anybody else have this problem?

So I've been trialing DriveHUD on Bovada and I can't seem to figure out why the "example" HUD that it shows on the HUD screen looks nothing like what it looks on the tables.

It is the downloaded Microstakes MTT HUD from the DriveHUD app store. I just want a simplistic look similar to the one shown on the left of the linked pic. Any simple steps I can take to fix it or create something similar?

I've seen some websites that mention a Bovada mobile app....has anyone downloaded this? I'm a little skeptical to try it. One of the websites I looked at was bovada.com. Not sure if that's the same as bovada.lv

Hey guys,
I'm from India and PokerStars just banned the global version here and launched a local version, which means I can only play with fellow Indian players. This means no Zoom (which was my primary game) and only 3-4 tables running at a time, not helping with volumes.
We also have some local operators but their rake is bad and they also charge 30% TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) of your winnings above INR 10k (~USD 150), which is crappy.
I'm looking for advice for advice on sites to play at.
Here are some options from what I've researched so far: 1) PPpoke PokerMaster - A lot of Asian traffic here, easy games, but wondering how to start playing here (have downloaded their Android apps). Also can I play only one table at a time on these sites? 2) BetOnline/ Black Chip/ Breakout - Any experience with these sites? 3) Ignition/ Bovada network
My primary requirements are putting in volumes, smooth interface, good rakeback, and no shady withdrawal policies etc (basically a trusted brandname).
Please let me know guys. TIA.

I have pissed away money on Bovada because of impatience (usually if I'm sitting for 4+ hours without a real "break) but have also been able to set my mind on a goal of making money back from my impatient down swings and have been able to do so relatively consistently.
What about you guys?

EDIT2: One of the things that helped me a lot was that I made friends with a guy I played with in the Casino a lot. We would talk hands, he got me to download this "Call or Fold" app on Android to get odds drilled into my head and we would speculate on hands to see how we were analyzing what was happening. Over a month or two months it helped a lot. Maybe a lot of you guys would benefit from the same...... Idk how that can be achieved online???

Hi, not sure if this is a good place to ask or not but I have been using the Bovada Poker application on my MacBook until last night it said it needed to be updated. I confirmed it and checked back awhile later and it was on the lobby page but just a black screen. I have tried rebooting my computer, uninstalling the program and re-downloading it but nothing has worked so far. I open the App and it won’t get past a black screen on what would be the lobby page. If anyone has experienced a similar problem or has any insight I would appreciate it, TIA!

I am writing this to help new players review sessions so they can find quality hands to post. This is especially targeted towards Bovada since Pokeit is one of the few solutions that can handle its hand histories.
First, why post hands? While experience is a great teacher, once that beginner's luck starts wearing off you will probably start wondering if you suck. The bad news is yes, you do suck, and some players are noticing this and exploiting you. The good news is threefold: 1. At the micros, almost everyone sucks, 2. Bovada is extremely soft so even in your sucking you may be ahead of the curve, and 3. There are people like myself and others on this subreddit that are willing to help.
Second, why review sessions? There are many reasons; I personally like to review to make sure the leaks I have plugged are still plugged, and identify new leaks to work on. I prefer to review sessions where I felt like I was on my A-game, whether winning or losing. B-game or C-game sessions, while relevant, are not as important to me since mental game leaks are not fixable through tracking software or through posting hands. This merits its own topic; to put it in a nutshell: Playing distracted and tilting are such major leaks that fixing them should take priority over any other things you want to work on.
Ok, so we post hands because we know we suck and want to improve, and we review sessions to track the progress of our (non-mental) game. I am now going to show you a sample session review and the thought processes I go through. First, download and install Pokeit (pokeit.co). Then, after your session on Bovada, request to download the hand history file for any session you would like to review. Now open the Pokeit app and it will automatically sync the hand history file to the cloud where you can review in your internet browser.
From your Pokeit homepage, create a new filter by session, then sort by date and time played. Star hands where you won or lost pots <10 BB's. Now filter by starred hands and sort by date and time. Click each hand to view in the sidebar; you may want to use the hand replayer for particularly interesting hands. The main questions you want to be asking yourself are: Did I lose the minimum? Did I win the maximum? From there you can begin analyzing lines (generic methods of play). The four lines are:

1. The tight-aggressive line. Raise or reraise preflop, cbet most flops. Bet scare cards on the turn and river. Range varies in tournaments, in cash game is generically 77+, ATs+, AQ+, KQ, KJs, Qjs.
   
2. The tight-passive line. Call preflop, cbet 30%. Check and call versus bet and raise. Range is the same as above.
   
3. The loose-aggressive line. Same behaviors and cbet as tight-aggressive but range includes all pocket pairs, any suited ace, any combination of nines-aces (i.e. K9, QT, etc.), and any suited connector or one-gapper.
   
4. The loose-passive line. Same behaviors and cbet of tight-passive but same range as loose-aggressive.
   

Confused yet? Read and study these lines since they are essential to analyzing your own play. These are blueprints of strong opponents and ideal opponents that will help you understand why some players play the way they do. It boils down to this: Tight opponents are going to be easier to assign a range. Loose opponents will have wider ranges. Aggressive opponents will be betting and raising; passive opponents will be checking and calling.
Now that you understand your four basic opponents determine how each would play your hand. Here's an example: You have ATo in middle position six-handed. An aggressive opponent is going to raise preflop; a passive one is going to limp in. Here's another: You have ATo in the small blind six-handed and the button raises 2x. An aggressive opponent is going to reraise; a passive one is going to just call. A final set of examples: You have A8s in the CO six-handed. A tight opponent is going to fold; a loose one is going to open raise if aggressive, limp or call if passive.
The final step to a successful foundation for analysis is to use the four lines for opponents on the flop, turn, and river. Example: You have AK in position on a K87tt board. A passive opponent is going to check behind. An aggressive one is going to cbet. Example2: You have 99 in position on a Q825A board and villian checks. An aggressive opponent is going to bet the scare card. A passive one is gong to check behind.
Now that you have your foundation you can move on to actual analysis. When analyzing identify the actions you took as passive or aggressive and determine if they were ideal for your opponents' perceived range and actual stats. Do the same from your opponents' point of view. You should be looking for things like betting tells, overly passive or aggressive behavior, fear of scare cards, willingness to bet draws, etc. Once you have identied these, post the hand(s) in question with your analysis and a link to the Pokeit replayer. The community may have additional insights that will help you improve your game.
Tl;dr: Session analysis is a tool you can use to improve your game and identify hands with troublesome/interesting spots. Through Pokeit, you can analyze your sessions and post hands with a link to a replayer.

Hi there, lately I've been playing a lot of the zone poker games on bovada, mostly 25 NL with some 50 NL, and occasional 5 NL. Although I've done okay during the last few months, I was looking for ways to analyze and improve my game. To that end, I have downloaded HEM2 and have been playing around with the free trial while using the bovada hand history converter program to upload my hands. I've been kind of overwhelmed by the amount of data so I thought I would come here to have a few things answered.
1) Do you guys recommend using HEM2 for analysis of bovada zone poker--obviously I can't use the HUD, so it would just be to review hands, etc.
2) Are there any good tutorials for how best to use the software to improve my game, or do you have any individual tips for using the data to plug leaks?
3) Are any of the HEM 2 apps especially useful in the context of the bovada anonymous zoom games?
I apologize if this is an especially nooby question, but I'm new to the world of poker software.
