A Rundown of Each Gang In Cyberpunk 2077

Hey all, Here is a rundown of the details of each gang, ranging from sphere of influence, crimes, uniforms, where they reside and how they make money in Night City. If you keep up to date with the lore, most of this information will not be new to you, so don't expect anything fancy. This is mainly for those who want some basic information on each of the gangs, and don't invest a lot of time into the lore. Hence, this information is kept very basic and straight forward.

The Maelstrom Gang
The Maelstrom Gang is the most dangerous of Night City's gangs. With 1300 members, they reside within the Watson district, and spawned from the remains of a previous gang called the Metal Warriors. When this gang was almost fully wiped out, the Maelstrom gang replaced it, and grew exponentially in size. They took shelter in Watson, within a pig slaughterhouse called the All Food Plant. This is where the brains of their organisation stays.
The Maelstrom specialise with illegal medicines and drugs, being their primary form of income. Before selling these, they usually acquire such illicit objects from organised raids and hit jobs on whoever they deem needs to be taken out. They do not discriminate - they will kill anyone and anything to get to the top, and to get what they want. Think of them a lot like the Mafia - very organised and structural, where you need to do your part for the organisation, otherwise it's game over for you.
Like many of the gangs in Night City, they own a club, called the Totentanz Club. It is said to be the most popular of all clubs in Night City that are owned by a gang. They also have their own uniform, containing clothes of leather and chrome, alongside their array of high-tech cyberware. Their kind of gang structure has a particular name for it - a Boostergang. These are gangs with members who often enhance themselves with cybernetics. In fact, many Maelstrom members are Cyberpsychos - a mental illness of identity loss due to an excessive amount of cyberware on one's body. They lose a sense of what and who they are. But they know one thing - they serve the Maelstrom, and they kill for the Maelstrom Gang.
The Maelstrom are lead by Simon Randall, a.k.a Royce. V will have the opportunity to eliminate Royce in the quest 'Going Pro', where you must find a Flathead spiderbot through infultrating the Maelstrom headquarters.
The Maelstrom, being the most dangerous gang in Night City, have an Extreme Threat Level in Night City. Look out for them, because they will look out for you.

The Scavengers
The Scavengers are a nasty gang that inhabit all of Night City, with a particular presense in Pacifica and Heywood. Similar to the Maelstrom Gang, they are ruthless, and will attack anyone or anything. But they have their own method. Instead of organised crime, any of their members simply attack weak and innocent people.
They have ties to the Soviet Union, with many of their members being fluent in Russian, as well as very involved within the culture. Their uniform consists of tracksuits, cyberware and tattoos.
The name of the game for the Scavengers is as the name suggests - scavenging. This gang kidnaps people and forcibly harvests everything they can from their victims. Organ harvesting proves profitable for them. But most importantly, they will take the cyberware from their victims. As such, they are filthy rich from distributing their looted cyberware off to other gangs, ripperdocs, and a range of other criminals.
If the Scavengers aren't scavenging, they're committing other crimes such as common assault, mutilation and dismemberment of whomever they please.
When you roam in Night City, look for Russian graffitti to sniff out the presence of the Scavengers, otherwise, they might find you first.
Within Night City, they have a Medium Threat level.

Voodoo Boys
The Voodoo Boys take their name to heart, with very tribalistic and cult-like activities in Night City, primarily in the District of Pacifica. They came to birth after Haiti and Dominica were devasted by natural disasters in the 2060s. Upon migrating into Night City, they started their own community of criminals. They like to keep their blood strong, maintaining members to only be of Haitian and Dominican descent alike. The Voodoo Boys are classified as a terrorist or nihilist gang - a gang that commits abnormal atrocities, and don't have any meaning in life other than to cause harm to others.
They have several hundreds of members, and are the best in the business when it comes to non-synthetic drugs.
But there is one thing that they are even better at. The Voodoo Boys are the kings of the Net. Many of their members are Netrunners, who love to freeze neural networks, and plant viruses on the Net to take down many of their targets. In fact, their primary source of income is through hacking databases and accounts, stealing both important data and of course, money. Their main targets are big corporations.
Their other goal with the Net is to breach the Blackwall - a virtual wall to protect against free A.Is causing chaos, of which the Voodoo Boys believe Free A.Is would be beneficial. This means the gang is at odds with the organisation that protects the Blackwall - namely, Netwatch.
Cosmetics and uniforms for the Voodoo Boys consist of tattoos, piercings, implants, cybernetics, dreadlocks, and charms made of bones. They are scary, both physically, and virtually throughout the Net.
The Voodoo Boys are led by Brigitte, a deadly Netrunner whom V will certainly encounter in Cyberpunk 2077, as well as her second-in-command, Placide.
Their threat level throughout Night City is quite low, however they are by far the most dangerous gang on the Net - it's their territory.

Animals
The main rival for the Voodoo Boys in the physical world is a gang that is just as crazy - the Animals. The Animals likewise reside within Pacifica, leading the two gangs to often go head-to-head. They're an aggressive street-fighting gang who love enhancing their bodies with cyberware, supplements, and their special drug called 'the Juice'. This drug increases speed and strength, making members of the Animals gang particularly deadly in a one-on-one fight out in the street.
The Animals are just as deadly as the Maelstrom out and about in the city, performing deadly attacks on residents and other gangs. With over 2500 members, they have hundreds of small packs, or groups, that carry out these attacks by the day and night.
You will often find Animals members as bouncers or hired muscle, as well as in the fighting minigames, as their raw strength and ferocity proves useful in these scenarios. If you do see one, they'll typically be seen with cybernetics, implanted muscles, plastic surgery and skin modifications to ramp up their ferocious and bestial physiques. These attributes has led to the gang being classified as a Combat Gang, a.k.a a gang that centers around a Warrior Code.
The Animals are possibly the most well versed and profitable in the world of illicit and black-market drug dealing. This is their main method of income creation, on top of other crimes like racketeering.
The gang is led by their ad-hoc leader, Sasquatch, who is incredibly strong through her use of steroids, and has a sledgehammer as her weapon of choice. The 2019 Deep Dive revealed a quest where you can infiltrate their base and have the option to kill Sasquatch. The consequences are yet to be revealed, if you kill her, or leave her to live. The decision is yours.
The Animals are a High Level Threat within Night City.

6th Street
The 6th Street came to be after the 4th Corporate War, where Veterans of the war decided to make their own gang as the NCPD was incompetent in protecting them against the local gangs. With 2300 strong, these American patriots believe solely in bringing justice to the city.
Their primary activities consist of robbery, extortion and gun smuggling within their home districts, Santo Domingo and Heywood. These activities may also spill over to the Badlands, where they have extensive connections to many of the Nomads in that area. Another way they make money is through protecting local businesses upon the provision that they pay tribute to the gang for such protection.
Their other speciality is to do with vehicles. Not only do they run taxi services around Night City, but they steal and modify cars using Techies, and then sell them afterwards.
The 6th Street gang is often not on the friendly side of other gangs as they wish to rid of many of the other gangs. The NCPD hence tolerates the 6th Street gang, as they assist the police in dealing with plenty of criminals in the streets.
The 6th Street gang has a Medium Threat Level within Night City.

Valentinos
The Valentinos are a traditionalist-style gang located within the district of Heywood. It is one of the largest gangs, housing 6000 members, all mostly of Latino descent. This is understandly why our main man Jackie Wells used to be a member within the gang.
The gang is motivated by a different cause than most others. To seduce women. The more prestigious and unobtainable the woman is, the better the target for seduction by the members of the gang.
In true traditionalist fashion, they hold some old-school values high, like justice, honour and brotherhood, and will defend these values to the death. They are also quite religious, but no concrete details of their religious activities have been revealed just yet.
Unlike most other gangs, they are open to who joins the gang, and they are extremely territorial. Also different to other gangs, they head up a lot of legitimate businesses in Night City. You'll find many Valentinos managing restaurants, nightclubs, car workshops, construction companies and more.
But don't be fooled. They still love your run-of-the-mill criminal activities. The Valentinos are particularly fond of gun smuggling, theft, trafficking, burglaries, hit jobs, and almost every other crime you can think of.
Like the 6th Street gang, they receive payments to protect members of the neighbourhood and their businesses. This often puts the Valentinos and the 6th Street gang at odds with each other within Heywood. Be very careful who you mess with in Heywood, as you might find one of these gangs coming after you soon after.
Valentino clothing is very bright, colourful and shiny, with jewellery, tattoos and colourful clothes being worn often. It will be hard to miss a Valentino in the streets.
The gang has a Medium to High Threat Level in Night City.

Tyger Claws
The Tyger Claws are a large Japanese gang found in Night Cit, centered primarily within the districts of Westbrook and Watson. They came to fruitition when the Asian community within Night City was under poor protection around the year 2045. After teaming up with the mega corporation Arasaka, they were able to grow into a strong combat gang, just like the Animals, but with a much stronger focus on defense. This means that they are quite controlling of their own territory, and will defend it at any cost.
The gang consists of around 5500 members, most of which are very old-school in their methods of combat. Their weapons of choice don't involve cyberware like all the other gangs. The Tyger Claws much prefer to use martial arts, strong reflexes and traditional Japanese weapons like the Katana. This doesn't stop them from being a very potent threat within Night City - they know combat all too well.
The Tyger Claws own the most legiitimate businesses out of all the other gangs. Bars, resturants, braindance outlets, brothels and casinos. You name it, they own it. Many of them can be found in Japantown, a beautiful sub-district of Westbrook. The crown jewel of their assets and their operations, the Clouds Nightclub can be found here. Behind the scenes, these businesses can also act as tools for illicit activities like money laundering and manufacturing drugs. But this doesn't name all of their income earners. The Tyger Claws also love human trafficking and prostitution. Their poor treatment of women in the sex industry led to the creation of their rival gang, who we will discuss after this.
Crimes for the Tyger Claws are like any other. Assault, torture, abduction, hit jobs, murder and street fighting. They commit these crimes in their signature uniforms and visual identifiers - katanas, fast street bikes, luminated tattoos and tantos, which are like small knives.
The Tyget Claws gang poses a Medium to High Level Threat to Night City.

Moxes
The Moxes are the newest edition to the gangs of Night City. They formed just eleven years before the events of Cyberpunk 2077,. The gang rose in power after their leader, Elizabeth Lizzie Borden was murdered by the Tyger Claws. She was murdered after killing 3 members of the Tyger Claws, who raped a prostitute who worked for Lizzie. This bar, is of course Lizzie's Bar, where we can find the braindance technician Judy Alvarez, who is also a member of the Moxes Gang. They own a few other brothels as well around the city, where they can extend their work in the sex industry.
The Moxes gang's HQ is in Lizzie's Bar, which is located in the Watson District, in the sub-district called Kabuki. Here, the Moxes gang makes most of their income from the sex work that occurs in this braindance club.
The gang is therefore primarily composed of around 250 sex workers, punks, anarchists and sexual minorities, who value the protection of the working class against violence and abuse.
As to be expected, they are not at all fond of the Tyger Claws gang for their actions against Lizzie. However, they will only attack if they are provoked. The Moxies are usually quite a passive gang. Unlike the other gangs as well, they don't tend to involve themselves in much criminal activity. The only speciality of theirs that is somewhat illegal is their extensive work in prostitution, of which many of their members take part.
If you see a Moxie, you can expect them to dress in a Punk style, or in cheap fashion that prostitutes may often wear. They are also quite fond of using Realskinn, a plastic covering used to disguise cyberware and cyberlimbs, to which the Moxies endulge in too.
The Moxies are a Low Threat Level within Night City.

Wraiths
The Wraiths are the first of two large gangs within the Badlands. Gangs in the Badlands are made up of hundreds of rogue Nomads, who travel around quite a lot. The Badlands is a dog-eat-dog world, and so the Wraiths are gruesome and ruthless - they atttack their prey during the night, and will raid or murder their victims. These raids will be conducted through their custom cars made to travel through the Badlands - they call these vehicles the Reaver. A customised version of the Type 66 Quadra, made especially for driving on rough terrain.
This leads us to their primary source of income, and that is raiding. Many transport convoys or lone vehicles are great targets in the open Badlands to be attacked and robbed from. They also will raid lots of small villages around the Badlands, taking anything from drugs, boosters, cars, car parts, and cyberware, where they can enjoy the spoils of their work.
Many companies in Night City also give them transportation contracts to protect valuable transport. However, the Wraiths may take it upon themselves to ransom or raid the vehicles that they were contracted to protect. They don't care of the consequences.
You will find plenty of Wraiths outside of Night City, where it's estimated that there are anywhere from 300 to 1200 members. If these members aren't raiding anyone, then they're probably fighting tooth and nail against their rival gang, the Aldecaldos, who we'll discuss soon.
The gang is led by a human-skin wearing man named Dogkiller, who we will hopefully be able to encounter in Cyberpunk 2077. However, if we do, they won't be nice to start out with.
The Wraiths are a High Level Threat in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, namely in the Badlands.

Aldecaldos
The gang was formed by its leader, Juan Aldecaldo who fled California to go to Mexico City back in the 1980s. In 2015, the gang returned to the US, and brought a certain someone with them. A great man named Johnny Silverhand, who was in hiding for several years.
The gang emigrated to Night City, where they inhabitated the Badlands, running farms and transporting stolen goods to get by day-to-day. They still do this in 2077, led by Santiago Aldecaldo, the new leader of the gang. He is a good friend of Johnny Silverhand. This will mean the Aldecaldos will be far easier to get on the good side of then their famous rivals, the Wraiths.
The gang consists of over 10000 members, making it one of the largest gangs in Night City. Several hundreds of these members actually reside inside the walls of Night City, extending their influence out further.
Not much else is known just yet about their day-to-day activities, so we'll have to discover this on December 10th.
The gang is most likely of a Medium Threat Level in Night City and the Badlands.

Amazing Race Route Concept #2

Warning: massive amount of text ahead. I created a mostly functional race route around the world (all loactions like buildings, businesses, landmarks, etc. are REAL locations and could theoretically actually work in the race). I tried to have a good variety in locations and types of challenges, but it's really hard! I find it a lot harder to complain about challenge design after making this. Even though this could technically happen there are probably some safety concerns in going to South Africa and Lesotho and it's probably not possible for the American Amazing Race to film in Cuba, but I decided to do it anyway. However, to get your tickets to Japan, you must make your way on foot through the busy streets of Chicago to Navy Pier, where flights will be given out according to the order of your arrival. Flights go to Tokyo, and you must make your own travel arrangements from there.

Bungy jump at the largest bungy jump in all of Japan at 62 meters, or over 200 feet! Once you’ve taken your leap of faith, you’ll receive your next clue.

Travel to Uenokunirokunomiya Haruna Shrine, Takasaki, for your next clue.

Create one string of paper cranes in Senbazuru. Senbazuru is the crafting of 1000 paper cranes for good luck. Following the demonstration, learn how to craft paper cranes. Once you have created forty of them and strung them together, deliver them to a Shinto priest at Akiba Shrine. He will give you your next clue.

Travel by train to Akihabara, Tokyo, and go to the top of the Tokyo Skytree to receive your next clue.

Roadblock: Who can ‘go’ kart? The teammate who did the first roadblock cannot do this one.
Travel to Akihabari Street Kart 1 and dress up in one of the many ridiculous costumes the company has to offer. Then, join a fifteen minute go-karting tour around the streets of this bustling region and look for three enormous signs in race colors with three different Japanese characters on them. If you can spot and write all three characters down correctly during the rush of Tokyo, you’ll receive your next clue. If you can’t get it right, you’ll have to join the next available tour.

Fly to Busan, South Korea! Upon arrival, make your way to Beomeo-sa for your next clue.
Fast Forward, Leg 2
Go to Songdo Beach and swim out into the ocean, locating the five whale statues in the water. At each statue, pick up marked letter tiles. Once you have all seven (two statues have two tiles), you can go back to the beach and unscramble the letters that spell out the name of a traditional South Korean delicacy that the other contestants eat at their first challenge. If you get the right word, you’ll be given a clue that takes you straight to the end of the leg.

Master the art of Korean meditation. If you can master all of the moves correctly, then your instructor will give over your next clue.

Roadblock: Who’s desperate to eat?
Take the marked path over one mile uphill to the marked food stand, and finish one serving of Soondae, a traditional South Korean delicacy that is made of pig intestines and pork blood. Once you have finished the food, you can run down to your partner and get your next clue.

Take the Songdo Marine Cable Car from Songnim Park to Amnam Park to receive your next clue.

Fish Identity: Go to Jagalchi Fish Market and search for the marked stall. Once there, sort an enormous box of fish and organize them. Once the stall owner approves, put them up for stock in the stall to receive your next clue.
Fish Delivery: Go to Jacky’s Seafood and take three orders and three addresses that need to be delivered. Once you have delivered all the fish to all the correct addresses throughout the Gamcheon Culture Village, you will receive your next clue.

Birdy Woods: Dressing up in clumsy bird costumes, search through Asia’s largest aviary for a cutout of the bird your partner is dressing up as. Once you’ve found the two cutouts, head to the Bonsai Garden. If you match the right bird, you’ll receive your next clue.
Bollywood: Head to Ramoji Movie Magic. Dressing up in traditional Indian outfits, memorize a short dance to the tune of some Bollywood music and perform it to the live audience and judges. If you meet their standards, you’ll receive your next clue.

Head to Nehru Zoological Park where your next clue will be waiting.
Clue #5
Take an amazing elephant ride! With both teammates on the elephant’s back guide it through a short course. If you can reach the end in under two minutes, you’ll receive your next clue.

Make your way to Bidar Fort by public transport for your next clue.

Roadblock: Who’s itching to get etching?
One team member must help in the process of the creation of bidriware. First, you must chisel one section in the piece of bidriware very precisely. Any error and you must restart. If given the clear, then you must then make their way inside Bidar Fort and collect a total of three baskets of soil for the artisans to use later in the process. Finally, you must use some of the soil you collected and coat a piece of bidriware in it. If every part of the challenge was done to the satisfaction of the artisans, you will receive your next clue.

Make your way to the Bahmani Tombs and the pit-stop! The last team to arrive will be eliminated.

Fly to Muscat, Oman! Once you have arrived, make your way to Al Alam Palace, where you will find marked cars waiting outside. Your clue will be waiting on the car.

Drive all the way to the Nizwa Souq in Nizwa, Oman, where you will find nine different tags, each releasing teams at different times the next morning, when you will be given your next clue.

Detour: Selling Goats or Weighing Dates
Selling Goats: Navigate through the souq to the weekly goat market. You must select a seller and help them sell their goats. First, thoroughly clean five goats so they are ready for selling. Then, parade five goats around the “walking circle,” where potential buyers will inspect which goats to buy. You must finally buy a goat yourself, haggling for a price under 100 riyals, or 260 US dollars. Once you can purchase a goat, you will receive your next clue. Keep the goat for the next challenge.
Weighing Dates: Find the marked stall in the souq that is selling dates. Your goal is to weigh out 200 grams of Ajwa Dates, 175 grams of Barhi Dates, and 125 grams of Hayani Dates. To do this, you must travel across the market to a scale at a different date stall. If you can get the perfect amount of dates, you will receive your next clue. Keep the dates for the next challenge.

Travel on foot to the Contemporary Mosque with either your goat or dates and trade them with the man waiting out front for your next clue.

Make your way back to the souq, and head to Omani Craftsman's House where you will find your next clue.

Roadblock: Who can work and weave?
The teammate participating in this roadblock must help create a small basketwork bowl. After watching the example, you must use the provided materials to finish off the bowl. If it meets the requirement of the shop owner, you will receive your next clue.

Make your way to the pit-stop for this leg of the race, Nizwa Fort! The last team to arrive may be eliminated.

Clue #1
Drive yourself to Bimmah Sinkhole in Muscat, Oman! You will receive your next clue after having a cup of delicious locally-made coffee. Caution! Double U-Turn ahead!
Clue #2
Detour: Script Write or Shipwright
Script Write: Drive to Bait al Zubair and go into the Manuscript Room. Using a provided paper and translation guide, figure out what the marked manuscript says in English. If anything is wrong when submitting it, though, you must start completely over.
Shipwright: Drive to Oman Maritime Boatyard and find the marked boat. Oman Maritime has been reviving the craft of making the traditional wooden boats of Oman’s past, and you must help with the process. First, you must hand-sand a small section of the marked vessel. Then, you and your partner must work together to stitch coconut palm fiber through twenty holes, or eighty total stitches. Once you’re done, you’ll receive your next clue.

Make your way to Mutrah Souk for your next clue and the U-Turn board!
Clue #4
Search through the enormous market for one of three marked stalls. One you’ve found a stall, search through their wares for a trinket with a red/yellow flag on the bottom. Give the correct trinket to the shop owner, and they will hand you your next clue.

Drive yourself to Qurum Beach, where you will receive your next clue.
Clue #6
Roadblock: Who will pass the shells?
For this challenge, one team member must watch the demonstration of two fishermen playing a traditional Omani game, Al Hawalees. You must first create a “board” in the sand and collect the required amount of shells to play. You must then challenge a local fisherman. If you can win while following all of the rules correctly, you will receive your next clue.

Make your way to Umhlanga Lighthouse for your next clue.
Clue #4
Shake it up! In this challenge, you must create Lighthouse Bar’s famous “Umhlanga Schling.” Use the provided recipe to create fifteen drinks to perfection, and you will receive your next clue.

Head to Addington Beach and dig underneath one of the large sandcastles for your next clue.
Clue #6
Detour: Tree or Sea
Tree: For this detour, go to Durban Botanical Gardens. Use a provided golf cart to make your way to the famous Wood’s Cycad, a tree dating back to the age of dinosaurs. It has been cared for here since 1848. Once there, use one of the provided pieces to put together a large 3d puzzle of the tree. Once it has been approved, you will be handed your clue, and you can drive back to the front of the gardens and continue racing.
Sea: Go to uShaka Marine World and help out with some chores! First, help the kitchen staff and prepare 5 pounds of specially made vegetables for some of the aquarium’s fish. Second, travel around the park and take water samples from each of the specified exhibits. Finally, record blood test results taken during routine health check-ups. If you’ve completed all of the steps correctly, you will receive your next clue.

Fast Forward, Leg 7
By completing this fast forward, you will skip an overnight rest point and will be able to head directly to the pit-stop. Head to Sehlabathebe National Park. Once there, using the provided map and compass, ride by horseback to the nomadic tribal people’s current village. At the village, help cook pap-pap, a type of porridge common in Lesotho. The first team to complete the challenge will be able to head directly to the pit-stop.

Who can cut up a pattern?
One teammate will choose one of the complicated tribal Lesotho designs, and must find five pieces of fabric that match it perfectly. But be careful, the designs have miniscule differences between them. Once you’ve found all of your fabric, cut them at the directed places to receive your next clue.

Detour: Cave or Maze
Cave: For this challenge, go to Liphofung Cave. You must memorize all of the rock paintings in a specified section (15 paintings), and then run approximately a quarter-mile away and select the correct paper cutouts and put them in the right order as they were shown in the cave. When you have everything selected and ordered correctly, you’ll receive your next clue.
Maze: Make your way to the second largest dam in Africa, Katse Dam. Enter the first marked gallery and record the air temperature and the humidity. Use those observations to crack a complicated code, and enter the parallel gallery it directs you into. Be careful, it might be hard to find! If you enter the correct gallery, you will find a boat key, which you must give to the boatmaster. He will then give you a small ride around the reservoir and you’ll receive your next clue.

Help a local Basotho Shephard and their dogs move their sheep to a new grazing location. Don’t let the sheep get away! Once they’ve all been successfully moved, you’ll receive your next clue.

Lesotho - Greece
Clue #1
Via Maseru International Airport, make your way to Athens, Greece, known to be the home of the first democracy! From there, make your way to the Theatre of Dionysus on The Acropolis, where you will take part in a U-Turn vote. The two teams with the most votes will be sentenced to an automatic U-Turn when they arrive at the detour. After the vote, teams will be given their next clue.

Fly to Chania, Greece on the island of Crete! Upon touching down, use the provided cars to make your way to the Agora and search for the marked stall.
Speed Bump, Leg 8
Together, team members must eat through a total of twelve Greek figs. Once all of the fruits have been stomached, that team can continue racing.
Clue #3
Detour: Traverse or Immerse
Traverse: Make your way to the Maritime Museum of Crete, and find the small yacht model outside the museum. Your goal is to remember as much as you can without writing it down, then make a half mile walk through the streets of Crete to the yacht harbor, where you must find a marked yacht and rearrange the items until it is just like it was in the model. Once the actual yacht matches the model, you’ll receive your next clue.
Immerse: Travel to Minoan’s World 3D Museum, and get treated to a five minute long “9D movie” on Cretan History which engages all of your senses. If you can answer all five questions correctly, you’ll receive your next clue. However, only two teams can participate in the show at once.

Drive to the Palace of Knossos for your next clue.
Clue #5
Use the provided map to navigate through the ruins, collecting puzzle pieces at each of the marked rooms. Once you have all ten bundles of pieces, head outside and recreate the large painting using the pieces you collected. Once it has been finished, you’ll receive your next clue.

Drive to Cretan Olive Oil Farm for your next clue.
Clue #7
Roadblock: Who is feeling oily?
In this challenge, one teammate will help in the process of creating olive oil. First, set up special tree-shaking equipment and a net, used to efficiently get olives out of the tree without bruising them. You will then sort the olives between bruised and fair. Finally, crush both bruised and fair olives with a traditional granite olive press. Once they have been successfully grinded into a paste, you’ll receive your next clue.

Find the pit-stop along the coast of the small village of Loutro back on the west side of Crete. You will soon discover, however, that the village is completely blocked off from the mainland by mountains, so you will have to find alternate transportation. Hurry, because the last team to arrive will be eliminated.

Fly back to the mainland in Thessaloniki! When you’ve arrived, search Aristotelous Square for your next clue.
Clue #2
Detour: Serve or Observe
Serve: For this detour head on foot to Bougatsa Giannis, a renowned restaurant in the Ladadika area. You must take the orders of twelve total people and retrieve the correct dishes for them from the kitchen. Each person also has a dessert, which must be retrieved from nearby pastry shop Trigona Elinidi. You may take notes, but if you mess up someone’s order, you must start it over again.
Observe: Go by taxi to the Thessaloniki Science Centre Technology Museum and make your way to the main planetarium. The night sky will be projected above, and will be moving around you at one hour of regular movement per second. Using the provided key, identify five Greek constellations first identified by Claudius Ptolemy- Orion, Ursa Major, Cassiopeia, Centaurus, and Perseus. Be careful, it might be dizzying! Once you’ve found all of the constellations, you’ll be rewarded with your next clue.

Clue #4 Use one of the marked cars to drive yourself for the rest of the leg. Go to the Thessaloniki Concert Hall for your next clue.

Roadblock: Who can blow a note and hold a tune?
Macedonian brass bands are extremely popular in the Macedonia region of Greece, so for this roadblock, learn how to play the trumpet, a popular instrument played in these bands. If you can play a few notes of the folk song with the band, you’ll get your next clue.
Clue #6
Drive to Dalamara Winery. Once there, follow the guide to the directed area, where you must load two empty kegs onto a horse drawn cart. Direct the horse approximately half a mile through the vineyard and return back to the kegs. You will continue to load and deliver a total of eight kegs to receive your next clue.

Drive to Ski Center Voras and take the lift to the top where Kajmakcalan, a chapel right on the border between Greece and North Macedonia is situated. The last team to arrive at this pit-stop may be eliminated.

Detour: Art Block or Charity Walk
Art Block: Drive to the Art Bridge, which is home to 29 statues of important Macedonian artists and musicians. Wandering on and around the bridge are 29 people dressed up as those artists and musicians. You must match nine total people to their statues. A maximum of three teams can complete this challenge.
Charity Walk: Drive to the Mother Teresa Memorial House and load a trolley cart with a marked group of items that will almost completely fill the trolley. On foot, travel to the SOS Children’s Village National Office where you are to deliver the items. If you do not choose this option, your items will still be donated after the leg.

Drive to the city of Struga, where the North Macedonian national anthem was created. Make your way to the Saint Archangel Michael Cave Church for your next clue.
Clue #6
Teammates must work together to memorize four total stanzas of the Macedonian national anthem- in Macedonian. If you can perform it with the orchestra without forgetting the lyrics, you’ll receive your clue to the next pit-stop.

Clue #4
Find where the attached image is in person throughout the folk neighborhood of Fusterlandia. If you can find where the image actually is and show the judge, you’ll receive your next clue.

Sell the Box or Find the Band
Sell the Box: Drive to Santa Maria del Mar Beach and sell the provided boxes of boxed rum, the “juice box for bug kids.” While never selling any box for under 25 Cuban Pesos, make 375 Cuban Pesos (around fifteen US dollars). Once you’ve made your sales, you’ll receive your next clue.
Find the Band: For this detour, drive to the Cuban Art Factory and observe the large, marked piece of sheet music in the first room. Going from room to room in the factory, try to find the band who is playing the music that was in the first room. You must make your guesses ten minutes apart, so be confident in your answers! Once you have chosen the right band, you’ll be rewarded with your next clue.

Roadblock: Who is a reader, a writer, and a decipherer?
Ernest Hemingway, known for books like The Old Man and the Sea, had a notoriously bad handwriting, with little regards to punctuation or accuracy. One team member must copy one of Hemingway’s notes perfectly, letter for letter, on the provided typewriter. If it was typed perfectly, you will be handed a decoder key which you can use to find the hidden message, which will reveal the location of your final challenge.

Now that you’ve made it to Smathers Beach, you’ll partake in a final challenge. Out in between the marked buoys are bundles of letter tiles. You must dive down to retrieve them and bring them back up to shore. Figure out what you’re supposed to spell out with them, and once you think you have the answer, hang the tiles in order on your clothesline. If you have the correct answer, you’ll be given the final clue.

Everytime I visit the Las Vegas Blvd. Ross Dress For Less...

So I tend to go to Vegas about once a year, and everytime I do I always forget some sort of important clothing item. Whether that be flip flops, bathing suit, a hat, sunglasses, or just cooler clothes - so I usually end up hitting up the Ross which is located near Hard Rock Casino.
Sure I could go to a more trendy store, but where I actually live is pretty cold, so why would I spend a hundreds of dollars on a trendy swim suit if I'm only gonna wear it once a year? The clothes I get at ross are meant to be expendable, often times I don't even bring them back home with me.
Anyhow, every damn time I go into the Ross I get asked to help somebody find shoes or something. I have no idea why, and it doesn't matter how I dress. I can be in a hoodie, I can be in a wife beater, heck I could be in full blown suit...in fact, my most recent visit had me actually in a trendy blazer.
I was trying to get into one of the night clubs and they told me my sneakers were against dress code. That if I were to wear sneakers they must be all black - so I headed to Ross and purchased a comfortable pair of black sketchers for 30 bucks. All the Ross employees in this particular store wore blue collar shirts, black pants, and name tags. I was wearing a jet black blazer, dark blue jeans, and a white t-shirt with a Naruto graphic on it (its sounds nerdy, but it worked).
To enter the store you must go up an escalator, immediately upon me reaching the top I'm approached by a lady who wants to know where the dressing rooms are. I'm taken back at how quickly this is all coming together - anyhow, I tell her the dressing rooms are down the escalator. They aren't, that is actually the exit...but she heads down anyhow, and sets off the anti-theft device. Security quickly follows her down, thinking she's trying to steal a bunch of items. Meanwhile I head up the next escalator to the top floor where they house the shoes.
As I'm checking sizes another lady approaches me and asks me if I have any of a particular sized shoe in the back. I let her know that those shoes are actually on clearance and she can find them by heading down both escalators (the exit again) and entering the Ross Clearance Depot section next door.
I walk down another shoe aisle, where some teenager wants to know if I have anymore of a particular shoe brand, I also instruct him to head to the Ross Clearance Dept section next door (it's actually the Hard Rock Cafe). Then I finally find my shoes, but decide I'm going to pick up an alternative shirt...I'm getting elf conscious about rocking a Naruto shirt into LIGHT Nightclub. So I'm looking at the T-Shirts, while holding my sketchers, and a couple (w/ strong southern accents) walk up to me wanting to know where the towels are - I also send them to the Hard Rock Cafe.
I eventually pay for my stuff, and head on out. As I pass security I make some small talk, as I comment that he must have his hands full tonight on account of the fact that the alarm keeps on going off. He replies: "Nah, that's just a bunch of people thinking we have sale items downstairs for some reason."

A list of ideas for Jailbreak that I made instead of doing homework. What do you think?

Role ideas:
Citizen — You spawn into the game with your own house that you can customize (there is some benefit to adding things to your house but i haven’t thought of it yet, also everything added to your house can be robbed by criminals) cops can see your position as well as criminals on the map. You need to follow every law. If you get caught committing a crime (like, you can commit crimes all you want as long as you don’t get caught. You can rob banks and jewelry stores but can’t start the robbery because of the message that you started a robbery. You can’t rob gas station and other small stores and if anyone trips the alarm in museum you will be caught. On other robberies like trains you won’t get caught. ATMs don’t give police notifications so your safe there too. In the factory you will be safe as long as the police don’t see you. After committing a crime police can’t arrest you unless you were caught. If you are caught committing a crime you will automatically switch to criminal. If you get away with a crime and are not caught you will still be considered a citizen and will be viewed as innocent/you can’t get arrested or killed by cops. Upon death you will respawn in your home. If you pickpocket a police officer they won’t know and you’ll still be innocent. If you buy guns the police won’t be notified but if you buy explosives they will. You can only use cars that belong to you or you will be caught. The citizen team color is green. If a citizen kills someone they won’t be caught but if a police is within 50 studs of the murder they will be caught.
Mafia — The role won’t appear on your role selection screen unless you buy it for 450 robux. With this role you will spawn in the mafia base which includes 5 prison cells that do not open (there are ways to escape. If a prisoner escapes the mafia cages the mafia will be notified. If you are in the cage you will be tagged as a prisoner regardless of previous role. When you escape you’ll return to your previous role.) Mafia members can fill these cells by arresting criminals and citizens and prisoners. Mafia can only arrest criminals within 2 minutes after they commit a crime and can only arrest prisoners if the prisoner is carrying any contraband. They can only arrest citizens who have weapons on them. Mafia will be notified of everyone’s position at all time, except for police. Mafia spawn with the following in their inventory: Tommy gun Handcuffs Alternative key card (don’t know a name for it yet. Can be stolen. Grants access to the mafia base.) Mafia members are able to commit crimes. They can only be arrested within 2 minutes of committing a crime unless they are caught in the act, if they are caught committing the crime they can be arrested within 5 minutes of the crime. They are not visible to anyone on any maps. The only people who can see them on the map are other mafia members. There are two mafia bases. Both have 5 cells (so 10 cells total) if all cells are full handcuffs will stop working. When you arrest a player while all cells are full the player will be free and the mafia member will receive a notification that all cells are full. You wont take damage or anything like a cop would unless the player is innocen/does not fit the criteria for an arrest. The first mafia base (the main one) consists of a mafia armory granting access to 2 extra guns, the mafia car (similar to the wraith in terms of being a car with a gun turret, but better and noticeably different. It can hold 4 players. A driver, one in the front passenger seat, one in the gun turret, which is placed off to the side, and comes out of the back left passenger, and one in the back right passenger.) There is also a mafia outfit which is optional to wear. It includes a shirt, pants, a fedora, and one other clothing piece. The second mafia base includes five cells, a mafia armory, a collector, a garage, and a spot to dress out. Unlike normal prisoners, prisoners to the mafia will not be put in prison outfits and will keep the clothes on they had during the arrest. Each mafia cell had a different creative way to escape but the doors to the cell don’t open without a key. The cells escape methods include:
1. Digging your way out with a spoon (the spoon is under the prison bed. you can then stand in the center and click. 100 clicks will get you out.) 2. Breaking out from the wall (the wall is weak and will collapse when you run into it.) 3. Smashing the wall (a hammer is located under the sink. Smash the wall and it will break.) 4. The tunnels (if you hold E on the toilet it will be picked up and moved. Under the toilet there is a tunnel that will lead you out. 5. Crawling out (there’s a small hole in the wall under the bed you can crawl out through) 6. The window (theres a window. punch it then crawl out through it) 7. jumping (there’s a hole in the roof if you jump properly you’ll get out.) 8. Pulling the bars (the bars are weak enough you can pull them apart by pressing and holding E. then you just walk out.) 9. blowing it up (explode the back wall same way as in prison) 10. Making a call (find the phone in the sink and make a phone call wait thirty seconds and someone on the other side will blow it up.) 
Each cell has a different method. You can also get let out by someone with a key. The mafia team color is matte black. As mafia every vehicle you get in defaults to a red and black color scheme unless you have mobile garage but you can change that in the garage.
Superhero/supervillain — This role only appears for you in the role selection screen if you pay 500 robux for it. The superhero role spawns you in the superhero base which is placed on a tall hill on the edge of the main island. inside the superhero base there is a jet that you will be given for free with the game pass. You will also receive a bat mobile looking car with a gun turret controlled by the driver. Superheroes spawn with nothing in their inventory. Inside the base there is a superhero armory with different super suits. This is where you get your powers. The suits don’t have names, and you don’t need to get the suits on if you don’t want. you’ll get the powers from standing on the platform in front of the suit. A tube will come down and surround you for a second. You will be lifted off the ground. after a second the tube will go back into the roof and you will have your powers. If you want the suit you can still click on it though. You can only have one power at a time. The different powers include:
1. Super speed, fast enough to walk on water while sprinting. 2. Invisibility. To activate, just hold the superpower button (not sure which one it is but it’s one of the easy to reach unused buttons.) 3. Flight. It only lasts for so long though. To use double jump. 4. Later vision. To use, press the power button. 5. Fire. Throws a massive fire ball at the direction you want. Press the superpower button to get a fireball then aim it the same way you do a gun. Click to throw. Double press the superpower button to engulf yourself in flames, damaging everyone you run into and leaving a flaming trail where you run. 6. Ice. Let’s you throw shards of ice same way as fire. Double jump to create an ice path allowing you to walk on air and water. 7. Teleportation. Press the power button then a yellow circle will appear around you. You can teleport anywhere in the yellow circle. 8. Electricity. Travel through power lines and telephone lines. Turn off electricity at will. This includes security during robberies. The electric shut down lasts 5 seconds and has a really long cool down. 
Superheroes can commit crimes to become super villains. Supervillains have all the same traits as criminals except they have powers. In the supervillain base where they spawn, there is all the same stuff as a criminal base but it also gives you dark versions of the super suits as well as all the same superpowers. Supervillains also get the jet and the car still. If killed by a superhero you will be automatically arrested and if killed by a villain nothing happens. If a villain is arrested they lose all their powers. Same thing happens when killed. This goes for heroes too. Superhero team color is yellow supervillains are purple. Supervillain bass is located underground in an island separate from the rest of the map. In the center of the base there is a bomb. If you press and hold E on it for 0.5 seconds it opens a menu allowing you to drop the bomb on any part of the map. You do not get to see if anyone is there though. The bomb will deal damage to everyone in the area regardless of team. Heroes can damage prisoners and criminals and mafia. Villains can damage police and citizens. Only villains can access the villain base and only heroes can access the hero base.
[This one is a sort of bad idea but whatever] Military — Military spawn in the military base on the jungle island. They have access to 5 different military uniforms. 4 are camo. They spawn with 2 different exclusive military guns and have access to 5 more in the armory. These include:
AR (spawned with) Sniper Alt. shotgun Mini gun Alt pistol (spawned with) Grenade launcher Air strike (same as villain’s bomb but you can carry it around. It has a 3 minute cool down and the area you can strike is the 2x same size as the part of the bank that you earn money in. They also receive 3 free vehicles: Tank (carries 3 players. Driver, passenger, and cannon person. The cannon can deal enough damage to kill a player and leaves behind fire. The one manning the turret pays for explosives. You get 3 explosives before you have to pay $5000 for more.) Army truck (same as normal truck but it carries up to 12 people) Military ship (smaller version of warships. holds 5 players. Driver passenger and 3 people to man 3 turrets.) The military can kill criminals and villains. Upon getting killed by military you will respawn in prison and military takes your bounty. Military color is dark green.
Robberies:
Car dealership— The cars outside are worth nothing, they are just normal cars that you can buy. On the inside of the car dealership there is a collection of cars, behind security lasers and such. The cars there are completely random. Each time you will be faced with different random cars. All the cars though, Are cars that can be bought in the game. You have to pick one car. The more expensive in game the better. When you pick the car, you are able to drive it, it doesn’t matter if you own the car or not you can drive it during a robbery. Once you have it, you need to drive it out of the dealership. You need to avoid security lasers because every time you run into one the value of the car decreases. You also need to follow road laws because every time you crash the value decreases. As soon as you exit the dealership with the car the police are notified (this means you cannot rob it as a citizen.) and they will also be aware of your exact location until you deliver the car to the collector in the criminal base. As a citizen you can still rob the dealership as long as you stay in the passenger seat. As a passenger in a robbery you will receive 1/2 the amount the driver gets. To determine the amount you earn from the robbery, you will receive 1/5 the price of the car -1/10 the original earnings for every crash. So if you’re stealing a lambo, you will earn 20,000 for the robbery, but every crash would cost you 2,000. Due to the placement of the lasers it’s nearly impossible not to crash at least twice so don’t get your hopes up about earning the full amount of the car. The more expensive the car is the rarer it will appear so don’t plan on stealing a lambo every time. To complete the robbery you need to deliver the car to the collector at your mafia base or criminal base (supervillain base isn’t car accessible and has no collector.)
ATM — There are ATMS scattered around the map. 7 in the city, 8 in the rest of the main island outside the city. To rob an ATM you walk up to it and press and hold E for 8 seconds. Police will not be notified of the robbery and you will earn a random amount of money. The minimum possible is $200 and the maximum is $5000. There is no chance to it it’s completely random. Although police won’t be notified you will be visible on their maps until 30 seconds after the robbery is complete.
Passenger plane — The boarding and exiting is the same as on the cargo plane, but the robbery part is the same as on the passenger train. The limit for cash this time is $4500
House — Criminals and other people on that side can rob citizen houses and apartments (which always come for free. The floor plan and decoration never changes but the placement is always different. Sometimes it’s an apartment other times it’s a house.) Citizens can lose money from having their home robbed (if you’re a criminal that started as a citizen you keep the house, also if you’re a prisoner that started as a citizen. as long as you have a home you’ll lose money if you get it robbed) citizens can pay for security to get their homes safer and more difficult to rob. The amount you lose will be the same amount the robber earns. If they steal more than you have then you will go into debt. Security includes cameras which notify you if your home is getting robbed (you will be notified of who it is but the cops won’t know) lasers which damage the robber and notify you and police ( the more you pay the more damage they deal.) traps which damage the robber, and security alarms which notify you and police as soon as your door is even opened while you’re not home. The door security is hidden and untraceable too. Robbers can steal anything that the owner has bought. For every object they steal they earn 1/2 the price of it for completing the robbery by giving it to the collector. If the robber is arrested before completing the robbery then the citizen gets the money back. There are several points of entry: chimney, door, window, and for apartments, balcony.
Criminal base raid — This robbery is only available for police, heroes, mafia, and military. During a raid, police will enter the criminal base and break open the door with explosives (press and hold he for 5 seconds) to commit the robbery/raid, at the volcano base, you blow the door, and press and hold E on all of the collectors to get the money from them. You will get all the earnings from the most recent robbery completed with that collector. The raids inconvenience criminals and villains in some way that would motivate them just enough to want to protect the base during a raid. During a raid police heroes and mafia can kill any criminals in the base as well for extra cash. They will receive 1.5x the bounty. from killing criminals in raids and will earn 2x the bounty for arrests. After the door is blown all criminals will receive notice of the raid being started. During a raid police can also confiscate the guns for +$200 per gun and have access to the level 10 area regardless of actual level. To raid the city base you start by confiscating the guns in the criminal base. Every crate in the base can be raided for +$500 to +$1000.As well as a bonus chest in the building of the criminal base that gives the police all the earnings from the most recent jewelry robbery. The criminals still profit police the same way. Police can raid the crates at the air place to receive the earnings from the past robbery there as well. There is a 5 minute break in between every raid. During the jungle criminal base raid (a third base on the military island opposite to the position of the military base) police can raid the collectors again as well as raiding the hidden cash vaults granting all the earnings from the most recent bank and train robberies. Heroes can raid the villain base but police can’t. To begin a villain base robbery you need to blow down the door using your powers (every power has a way of blowing down the door except invisibility so invisibility people can use bombs)
The mall — A collection of 15+ different stores which can be robbed the same way as the donut shop. Upon robbing one police are notified you’re robbing the mall. The stores include: ⁃ 4 clothing stores (automatically dresses you out) ⁃ 3 restaurants (gives pizza from one, burgers from another, and coffee from the third. Pizza and burgers heal you coffee speeds up your sprinting speed by 5% for 30 seconds and can be consumed 3 times) ⁃ 3 furniture stores (gives nothing) ⁃ 2 cosmetic stores (gives nothing) ⁃ 3 shop stands (give nothing) ⁃ 3 tech shops (gives a phone which allows you to call up players, allowing them to choose to teleport to you or decline to do so) ⁃ 1 art exhibit (gives nothing) ⁃ 3 candy shops (one gives a lollipop, which heals you and gives you a faster running speed and higher jumps for 30 seconds, one gives a chocolate bar which heals and one gives a hard candy which heals) ⁃ 2 game shops (give nothing) ⁃ 1 toy store (gives a teddy bear that does nothing) the mall is always open but the stores have the same cool down as the gas station. When they are closed they will have the thing showing it’s closed the same way as in real malls.
Gun shop — Players visit it all the time in jailbreak. upon robbing the cash register you will be rewarded with the amount of money that the guns taken from the past players combined cost (so if player 1 came and took a $5,000 shotgun you earn $5000 from robbing the gun shop)
Cargo ship — (Can enter from riding a boat to the side and climbing a ladder or by jumping on it when it goes under the bridge. Police are notified when you enter a crate. Standing in a crate gives you up to $1000 and gives $100 per second. You can rob up to 5 crates. The bags limit you by crates robbed not by money. The boat never disappears it moves constantly between the main island the jungle island and the prison island. After a crate is robbed that crate disappears. The boat stops at a dock at all three islands to restock. There are 20 crates normally. To get off you can jump and swim to shore or wait until the boat reaches a dock and get off there. The robbery ends when you get to shore anywhere. Because the boat never disappears it’s technically always open but you have limited crates.
Casino — The casino can be entered when it’s open and when it’s closed. While closed the casino is filled with casino machines that actually work, allowing you to gamble your money. In the back the casino has a spot that is only available when closed. The ceiling is glass and can be broken so you can fall through (be careful of fall damage) Head to the back and you will see a floor of lasers. Dodge the lasers and make your way to the vault. There you will find a code locking the vault door. To get the code you need to dodge the lasers and make your way to the room upstairs. There is an office there with a computer. Hold E to hack the computer and you will get the code. Go back down and enter the code. Now just stand there and earn money bank style. Exit the casino to complete the robbery. In order to get busted a cop has to enter the vault.
Pickpocketing — Criminals can pickpocket other criminals the same way they would with police. They can steal small objects such as pistols or binoculars as well as stealing money. The money you steal is always >$100 and if you’re stealing from criminals, they won’t lose anything. The money you steal comes from their bounty, and the other objects you steal will be given to you but still stay in their inventory. (this would be a great way to get force field guns and swords if you can’t afford them!) when pickpocketing citizens you will take from their actual money because they have no bounty. Pickpocketing mafia gives a chance at receiving the mafia key card. Also, players cannot pickpocket the same person twice in one minute (unless it’s a cop or mafia because key cards but you can’t pickpocket anything from mafia except for key cards pistols and chocolate)
Spaceship — appears once every five minutes. to rob it you need to load onto it while it’s open and then wait until liftoff. There is a vault in the back filled with rocket fuel which powers the ship. Use some rocket fuel to get back to earth and keep some for yourself. Each container of rocket fuel is worth $500 and about 1/3 of it is needed for the ship to return to earth. There are 15 containers. You can carry as much as you want regardless of bag size but you need to leave 1/3 for the ship. When you return home, give the rocket fuel to the collector to get your money. The longer you take collecting fuel the farther from earth you get. You need to pilot the ship and steer it home. for every 10 seconds spent collecting that’s another 1/3 of fuel needed to return. To return home just sit in the seat and it will move on it’s own. To arrest criminals during the robbery, police would have to stow away on the trip and arrest them which is possible. In the airship there is no gravity and the ship is big which i think would make for some interesting fight mechanics between crims and cops. Explosives and superpowers won’t work in there as they will just cause a tear in the ship and kill all the passengers. You can also escape the ship by putting on a space suit and opening the airlock. Then you will slowly fall back into earth. There’s a 1/2 chance of surviving the part where you enter earths atmosphere and if you do survive you’ll be badly damaged. Use a parachute to avoid death on your way down.
City Central vault — A large building in the middle of the city where upon entry opens a massive vault. To break in you place explosives on the door. After that you need to open the vault by pulling 3 different levers, places on opposite ends of a laser filled room. Stand in the vault to earn $100 per second and the maximum amount of money is $10,000. If the police manage to trap you in the vault by pulling all the levers back you will be arrested. If they step into the vault nothing happens but they are still close enough to arrest.
The mine — An entirely underground mine where players will have to steal gold and other precious gems from the mine, while at the same time they need to be careful. The mine is like playing Jenga and stealing the wrong rock can cause everything to collapse and kill you. If successful, robbers will earn up to 7,000 for completing the robbery by delivering it to the collector. If the police enter the mine, they need to be careful too. One wrong step or one missed shot can cause the cave to collapse again. Explosives are dangerous here too.
Tech store — Criminals enter from the bottom, grab electronics into their bag (not a normal bag though, it can be dropped/put down by pressing the superpower button, which, since villains can’t use their powers while carrying the bag, still works). Carry the bags to the top of the building after dodging lasers and such. Then shoot the glass on top and jump out (with your bag) take the bag to the city base to finish the robbery.
Night club — Similar to the bank but no lasers, to enter you need to sneak in through the back of just avoid the main entrance. Once your in, make your way to the vault on the bottom floor. On the main floor with the nightclub there is nothing in your way and it’s not even considered a robbery yet. Once you get to the second floor (below the first floor) you will start having obstacles that get more and more difficult until you reach the vault. Same thing as the bank from there.
Temple — On a (third island???) there is a desert with a temple in the center. Enter the temple from the main entrance (when closed the entrance will look caved in) and dodge old movie like traps on your way down. You’ll have to run from massive boulder like Indiana Jones, there will be a water trap where you have to avoid pressure plates or else you’ll drown, there will be poison dart traps, etc. At the bottom of the temple there is an idol you can take worth $6,500. Take it, escape back to the exit, and deliver the idol to the collector to earn the money.

I'm watching all three movies right now. Currently viewing Temple of Doom. It just so happens that in the opening scene, Indiana Jones is dressed exactly like the man at the casino that Rose and Finn are supposed to meet. The Master Code Breaker they're supposed to work with. White tuxedo with red flower and all.

Of course most will remember the name of the club in that opening scene is Club Obi Wan.

Red v. Blue: Color Symbolism & Americana in Twin Peaks

Note: I'm writing this as someone who has watched the entire original series, Fire Walk With Me, The Missing Pieces, and The Return, as well as other features from Lynch's filmography (Lost Highway, Mulholland Drive, Elephant Man, Blue Velvet, Eraserhead); marked for spoilers now, do not proceed if you haven't seen them all. This is a longpost for Twin Peaks-obsessed nuts like me.
One of the things that remains a statement of the original incarnation (and thus, a statement by being substituted with HD digital cameras in The Return) is Twin Peaks's absolute mastery of the highly saturated 4:3 box TV aesthetic. I've heard Lynch was adamant the color palette not be corrected to a grittier, desaturated version when execs received the tapes. It's part of what's made so many iconic sequences and shots from the original run hallmarks of Tumblr and Instagram accounts aplenty. Twin Peaks came (and could be argued, ushered) on the precipice of a major shift in the television format. We would see the contemporary form of television media developed further with shows like The Sopranos in the HBO prime cable era, or The X-Files (no wonder Chris Carter plundered Twin Peaks's cast for his own attempt). As a marker for the end of the 80s and its preceding decades though, in many ways Twin Peaks to spoke to a form of TV largely since faded: soap operas and sitcoms and serials. It's part of why I loved the metatextual inclusion of the soap opera Invitation to Love, allowing the show to reference its own stylized dramaturgy.

Very specifically, I find the series loves to riddle blue and red, like one oni to another. Fire and water. Hot-cold (like the shivery feeling Audrey gets when she holds an ice cube on her bare skin for a long time). The red and blue on Mike's TP varsity letterman jacket could be the most striking and concise marriage of this dynamic pairing. Donna & Maddie dive into this in the season 2 opener, scheming at the Double R (docked points for the silly jailhouse seduction routine by Donna, though). Subtler in palette but more obvious in Americana, Major Briggs's omnipresent blue uniform incorporates red in his breast patch (and Don S. Davis's ruddy-warm complexion, imo) speaking to his inherent patriotism as part of the Air Force. On more than one occasion Big Ed is spotted with a red & blue flannel.
Much to be said about the pairing of Bobby & Mike, comparing to BOB & MIKE; MIKE saw the face of God, but Bobby is the one who saw the light in this duo.
The flashing lights of a cop car. Dr. Jacoby's iconic 3D glasses-flavored shades (note that Jacoby and Ben both hailed from the Robert Wise-directed 1961 film adaptation of West Side Story, the famous 50s musical depicting rival gangs experiencing a Romeo & Juliet plot amidst culture clash in NYC). Lil the Dancer, communicating through expressive dance a coded message in FWWM. A barbershop quartet in the background behind Coop & Albert in "Coma".
I believe it's The Secret History of Twin Peaks book that is paired with red and blue filter lenses, so you can view certain hidden information? Either way, Lynch likes his 50s/60s Americana; reminds me of Castle Horror gimmicks.
The blue flower was a central Romanticism symbol; as blue roses don't occur in nature, they hold an air of mystery and fantastic possibility. Tennessee Williams used the blue rose to symbolize the fragile & unique character Laura(!!) in The Glass Menagerie.
The sign outside One-Eye Jack's. Red pairs often with green or black in gambling/casino situations; from the card deck motif for the sex workers to the mix-match patches of a roulette wheel. The malfunctioning lift for Leo in "The Orchid's Curse." The stage behind Julee Cruise during Roadhouse performances, especially "Lonely Souls." Even though the Red Room is known for its red, we see eventually that the Lodge holds strobing blue lights and the milky cataracts of doppelgangers. In a more peaceful sense, blue light washes over Laura as she smiles in the Lodge at the end of FWWM, reunited finally with her angel.
You can practically hear the buzz of the neon zapping into life from here. Knowing how important electricity is to Twin Peaks, these little details really stand out.
Ben and Jerry, at various times, switch between the two to complement each other much like the Miser Brothers. We also see it in Ben's interactions with Catherine; their affair in "Traces to Nowhere" finds Catherine clad in a powdery blue blanket, Ben's fiery tie, Catherine's ruby toenails (sidenote: not a fan of the Tarantino interaction). We see more of this Ben-Catherine color scheme in "Cooper's Dreams" during the Iceland convention with Leland's impromptu dancefloor breakdown. Ben, as central locus for Twin Peaks's criminal element, seems to be a lightning pole for these color dynamics. Notable is his integral need as a character to keep his publicly clean image and seedy underworld dealings separate, the perfect human symbol for Lynch's sequence in Blue Velvet's intro depicting the rotting & squirming insects buried beneath the idyllic Levittown surface of Lumberton. And Ben, even beyond his perennial cigar, enjoys many scenes by the fire of a hearth.
Ben floats through the two by himself on a regular basis, which I think ties into his role as the uber 80s corporate & cold American businessman, espousing social niceties & charm but hiding his sinister and impulsive skeletons in the closet. It's almost like he should be Lodge, but he's only run parallel to it as a human being.
Likewise, when it comes to the Lodge, BOB and the Man from Another Place/The Arm make a perfect red-blue pair. I noticed this especially in FWWM during the chaotic convenience store sequence. Given that during the night the sky can range from black as a cup of Coop's coffee to a Prussian shade, by following a Goethe color theory mindset, we can admit "Blue is a darkness weakened by light." BOB never comes off weak, but as a possessing spirit, for the viewer, his sudden appearances/reveals herald a (at times literal) spotlight into the black oil that is his essence (follow this link for a Youtube vid that informed some of my own theories). Goethe characterizes blue as common (think of country folk and bikers and truckers), as well as cold and melancholy, powerful. Red is much easier for The Arm; in addition to evoking the Christian iconography of a devilish imp figure, he is pure fire, the kind that truly walks with you (Goethe considers red as beautiful, dignified, closer to the essence of light; perhaps this echoes the Neoclassical Venus statue found often with Red Room curtains, or the red lipstick of the various beautiful women commonly prey to Twin Peaks).
BOB's always clad in blue denim to match The Arm's impish red suit. Noticeable since they remain the two most active agents as Lodge creatures, continuing the BOB/MIKE dualism that existed pre-show.
Given the only color left to throw in is white (HMM,, White Lodge? Sarah's pale horse? Leland's hair? The stuffed arctic fox in Ben's office? That weird long-faced elk thing at the Packard-Martell house? Pete and Coop enjoying/trying to order a mug of milk? The Tremond/Chalfont boy's white mask?) and you have the Star-Spangled Banner itself (the mini-flag at Twin Peaks Sheriff's office that flanks Coop while he's sitting across the table from Dr. Jacoby, as well as Coop's fixation on the full-sized incarnation while he's in the Bros. Fusco's office during his Dougie stint in The Return, are just two instances). Notable as a tri-color national aesthetic, red white & blue sometimes finds its way back in altered forms: straightforward visual representation with the Icelandic investors, as well as more tonally & artistically-derived influence from Lynch's favorite country (we'll forget the agonizing French hookup leaving scene from The Return and think more of Monica Bellucci's dream sequence, or Ben & Jerry orgasming over fresh baguettes with brie).

Part 9, \"This is the chair.\" I remember this sequence being a spark of sorts, tantalizing to see Coop stir somewhat from his Dougie stupor.
While it should come as no surprise an American show would have many American-specific themes, I'm often convinced that Lynch is using the visual shorthand to simultaneously sing, criticize, celebrate, and reflect on what it means to be America. It is not coincidence that Dale Bartholomew Cooper's name reflects the notorious Pacific Northwest hijacker D.B. Cooper, or Harry Truman with the 33rd President (who, mind you, ordered the atomic bombs dropped in WWII). Or Franklin "Frank" Truman with the 32nd, for that matter. Coop openly ponders the Kennedy assassination (itself rife for conspiracy theories and speculation, much like TP) in a log to Diane, as well as Marilyn Monroe's involvement with the family; who else is Laura Palmer but a hometown Monroe?
Much like D.B. Cooper, Coop took a historic leap.
I would love to dig down deep and really review all of his work to understand more about Lynch's fixation on Lincoln (a portrait is in the Donna/James classroom when Laura's death is announced; a dramatic shot in Blue Velvet fixates on Lincoln Street which divides the town's good/bad parts & has an antagonist by the name of Booth; the "Gotta light?" Woodsman in The Return).
Now if someone could explain this connection... Dick says this right before the fire alarms go off and swamp Leland with water while BOB rams Leland's head in to break his last vessel and escape from justice.
Why Lincoln? I refer to it as The House Divided. Lincoln is one of the most recognizable presidents, partially due to his assassination (Kennedy echo), partially due to his role in the Civil War and how America resolved its most divisive internal conflict. He's emblematic of the Old America and the New America, slavery and post-slavery, secession and preservation. Somewhat like Republicans & Democrats, red v. blue. We know the toy Lincoln Logs, we hear the term Lincoln Lawyer, he's even one of the faces on Mt. Rushmore (referenced explicitly in The Return - "There they are Albert, faces of stone"- as well as compositionally in "Cooper's Dreams"); given the existence of both a Black Lodge and White Lodge in mythos, I think it's safe to draw at least some broad comparison to black America and white America (as well as Windom Earle's fetish for chess). Even as a goofier entry during Season 2's decaying period, Ben's mental lapse into General Robert E. Lee and fixation on the Civil War (mirroring Johnny Horne's fixation with the indigenous headdress and colonist America) gives some meat to this motif. Although it's never quite outright verbalized in show, one gets the sense that America is inherently built on some original sins. The water in the well was poisoned before the Trinity test
Notable too for the context of having Hawk (Nez Perce) included in this recreation. Mt. Rushmore was originally a sacred place for the Lakota Sioux; its present condition is considered desecration to their culture. America in its current incarnation was founded on the genocide and forced relocation of its indigenous peoples; Twin Peaks is loaded with Native American patterns and imagery, i.e. The Great Northern.
Note as well that red, by itself, can easily be tied to Twin Peaks's lifeforce, and by extension Lynch's entire repertoire. Fire. Red velvet curtains. Lipstick and nail polish. Blood. Pete's fisherman flannel. Audrey's heels, and her cherry trick. Norma's cherry pie. Log Lady's frames. "Let's rock" on Agent Desmond's car in FWWM. The women at One-Eye Jack's. The lifeline zigzags on the high school walls. MIKE, in Philip Gerard, is fond of red tops, connecting him directly with The Arm. Much is made of Twin Peaks's proximity to Canada in the original series; the corrupt Mountie during the internal investigation arc stands out. The balloons at Dougie's corporate plaza. The Scarlet Letter. Lancelot Court, red door. Laura Palmer's Secret Diary.
Night time, my time. Red can be a carnal color, igniting passion, but also a warning to stop, turn back. Often we find it in the company of characters who have experienced a lot in Lynch's world, and not too much good.
And blue too. Blue is much more sparing in Twin Peaks, to greater mystical effect. Blue Rose. Laura's cold lips in the Pilot. Blue Velvet. Isabella Rossellini's dramatic eyeshadow as Dorothy Vallens. The waitress outfits at the Double R Diner. Leo's button-down when Shelly shoots him. The light in the morgue as Hawk tails Philip Gerard. The lifeline zigzags on hospital monitors (how they spike with Ronette, how they fall flat when Leland strangles Jacques). Ronette is swaddled in soft blue blankets during the S2 opener, her tilted head recalls Marian imagery (interesting from a Madonna-Whore complex standpoint); two episodes later her IV drip is tainted with blue dye, a visit from BOB. Maddie Ferguson's nightgown during her carpet-stain vision. Coop's iconic jammies. Rita's blue key & Betty's blue box in Mulholland Drive. The woman's hair at Club Silencio. Whenever television sets or camera footage shows up onscreen in Twin Peaks, there's a noticeable cool blue tint: think of that first tape, Laura & Donna dancing in the woods; the static showcased in the opening credits to FWWM; the footage of Coop gambling, obsessed over by Jean Renault. Gordon & Albert speaking together after meeting with Mr. C and watching Tammy walk away. Flashes of lightning. The sign at the Luna Lounge, where Fred Madison plays his discordant sax solo in Lost Highway.
Two dead girls wash up in the water. Calhoun Memorial's morgue stays bathed in blue light. Louise Bourgeois claimed it as hallmark, stating blue left behind \"the drabness of day-to-day reality\" for \"a world of freedom\", inner truths. BOB is certainly free.
Beyond red and blue, the colors I tend to notice in Twin Peaks are pink and green (notable for following a warm/cool polarization as well), which do not concern themselves to the same extent with Americana, if at all. Pink is much more sparse in its application, typically feminine: Nadine's prom dress during her suicide attempt in the S1 finale; Naido/Diane's bathrobe in The Return; the drapes behind the new One-Eyed Jack's girl Ben sleeps with in "Zen" (purposefully designed to evoke a vagina, in my opinion); fudging into purple, but we can count the Mauve Zone and Coop's run-in with Naido to an extent; Gersten Hayward's princess outfit during her piano performance for the Palmers; the trio of Candie, Mandie & Sandie; the gut-churning Pink Room sequence from FWWM with Laura & Donna.
Candie was a surprising standout for The Return. I felt these girls were a commentary on One-Eyed Jack's in the way the Mitchum Bros. were commentary on Ben & Jerry; where Ben & Jerry enjoyed public acceptance but indulged in dark secrets and ran through vulnerable sex workers, Bradley & Rodney have a dark reputation/entrance but ultimately possess hearts of gold, rescuing at-risk women like these three.
Green is more expansively utilized, and supernatural in tone: the billowing leaves of those Douglas firs in an ominous breeze; the iconic Twin Peaks font's outline; the guiding light we see through Dougie's eyes (which I assume has always been a part of Coop's psyche and intuition); Dougie's iconic oversized jacket; the infamous Owl Cave ring; the vintage lampshade adorning Ben's desk; the childhood bike Ben fondly recalls in The Return; the framed picture of the tall pine in the Sheriff's Department lobby; the tiny fir stuffed by the partition in the Palmer household; Jade & Emerald, even. Ben says to Leo, conspiring to burn the mill in "The One-Armed Man" - "Three nights, Leo. Green light." Something about it reminds me of Jay Gatsby's over-analyzed yearning green light from the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic; the idea of the American Dream with wanton capitalism, and how it's impossible to achieve (am I crazy for thinking there's a connection between Big Ed's Gas Farm's neon egg sign and the West Egg/East Egg class divide?).
Of course, the owls are watching. Much like the eyes of Dr. T.J. Eckleburg.
Ed's business harkens to how convenience stores (early-to-mid-century modernist American consumerism) were both the pumping blood and desiccated bone of our culture, as well as the Woodsmen womb. It also reminds me of old-style egg timers, and what is Twin Peaks but a show obsessed with the manipulation and perception of time? Was it the chicken or the egg that came first? Is it future or is it past?
By the time of The Return, we have lost these overly saturated tones, but the direct symbolic use of color is still integral to a Peaks viewing. I find it even more interesting that The Return made extensive use of black & white footage. Eraserhead and The Elephant Man alike (I've found both hold the spores for concepts and aesthetics fully developed in Lynch's later filmography, like the chevron Lodge floor pattern we all dearly love) were filmed in this manner; I feel Lynch chose this as nod to this earlier work, as well as the old formats of pre-color TV and film, like WWII newsreels. I find it relevant as well that older generations dream in black & white, a vanishing phenomenon which is directly related to the media of their era. B&W film informed the visual rhetoric of their unconscious minds; we, as younger Americans, dream in Technicolor.
This is the first shot we see of The Elephant Man. Notice how this is specifically his left arm, hand floating over the flame. Later in the film during a particularly moving sequence, Merrick first proves he is capable of speech for the first time by reciting the 23rd Psalm in a louder and louder tone, mirroring Annie Blackburn's prayers while Windom Earle led her bound into the Lodge.
The black & white sequences occur within the Lodge, relate directly to the Lodge - may Part 8 live forever in its atomic power - or otherwise involve unexplained phenomena (Cole's Monica Bellucci dream). By the time of The Return, a disconnect with the past and nostalgia is a core theme. The colors have faded. Coop, a half-baked shadow of himself, only gets restored by the chance mention of Gordon Cole's name in Sunset Blvd. Note Billy Wilder's 1950 film revolves around an aging actress lost in the reverie of her long-gone prime. (Also note her insistence, when William Holden's character asks her about the Salome film script, she's not conducting a "comeback" but a *return*; this, I feel, ties in as well to Major Briggs's underappreciated vision scene, emphasizing the idea of a return.) Although not shot in black & white, Pete, assisting Catherine as she tears apart their library, pauses for a moment during "The Last Evening" to linger on his high school yearbook. He's lost in the old pre-color photos, in the memory of Midge Jones, a man we never know. He's returned to a place in his youth, much like Garland's return to the gleaming, radiant marble of the fantastic palazzo in his S2 vision.
These two live in a retro-futurist Art Deco fever dream, accompanied the very appropriate Slow 30s Room soundtrack piece. Everything about the Fireman & Senorita Dido tells me of an America past its prime. I'm also convinced this was what Lynch envisioned for Briggs's palazzo; if only Don S. Davis was alive for The Return.
There's a plethora more I could get into, definitely for another thread: the preoccupation with trinities, animals, rings, technology, fine art references, and sonic elements are on my mind as well.
