Hi, anyone know of a way to enlarge the video size in youtube when holding the phone normally (not in horizontal fill screen) Ads on youtube can take up 1/2 or even up to 3/4 of the screen - yet the video itself shrinks back down to less than 1/3 at the top!
ELI5 how YouTube can compress videos ? I saw a a video from mkbhd in which he upload a video on YouTube downloads it again reuploads the downloaded video doing it each time the video is going down in size the pixealtion happens I had this queation how is it ? And if it is saving soich space without reducing quality why dont we use such compression in our phones video files won't it be nice to save space
Android TV Youtube video size wrong (side-by-side )
Hey, since 4-5 days i´ve seen, that my youtube videos on my TV (philips 55pus6561) are not displayed in fullscreen. Its like shown in 4:3 two times side by side. Anyone got this problem two? The problem comes in both ways. direct video start in tv youtube app or if i start the video from my smartphone. But not all videos are affected. A few videos are displayed in normal size.
Hello, I am having an issue where youtube is sometimes displaying videos at a smaller proportion of the browser window than normal. For example here is what a normal video is displayed as, and here is what is sometimes happening. Notice the display of the video is much shorter vertically. I am not sure if this is a browser issue, or a youtube issue, or something else. The issue happens randomly with no pattern. I am using the latest version of firefox, 62.0.3. Any help is greatly appreciated!
YouTube video size is messed up. Anyone else seeing this change?
Basically, it now looks like this on most of the videos, and favors this wider format,like this video. Since most of the videos I watch are not this wide and are more like the first example, this change is not welcome at all. How to revert to the way things were, when it was one size for all videos?

Chrome seems to have shrunk the normal YouTube video size
In the past few days I've noticed that when I go to YouTube using Chrome, the video size is way smaller than usual. I haven't made any changes to the setting in Chrome or YouTube and have not added or removed any extensions. I've also tested it by opening the same video in Firefox and it looks how it used to look in Chrome. Here's a side by side comparison. The left side is Chrome and the right side is Firefox. Both are zoomed the same and you can see the top bar with the YouTube Logo and Search bar are the same size. The "Up next" section has the same thumbnail size and the font on both pages is the same size. I also have the quality on both videos set to 1080p. This just started happening in the last few days and now it's every video. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and how to fix it?
Default YouTube video size has become smaller in Firefox.
The default video size has randomly become smaller than it was before. The video size was normal last night, and now this morning it has changed for some unknown reason. What I'm talking about here. I have Windows 7 and Firefox 45.0
A tweak that can show the size of the YouTube video you're about to watch before you watch or download it. At least so you don't over utilize data if capped.
Does anyone know of a way to reduce the size of the video on the screen while in "theater mode"? I have a 2k monitor and the video is just too large, but I prefer this layout. So I don't know if there is an extension or something I can do to reduce the size while retaining my window size and while using "theater mode". Googling is only bringing results on file size or resolution and that's not what I am looking for.
Hi, Anyone come across this? Youtube Videos change Size automatically. Sometimes it gets stretched vertically, sometimes the video is fine i.e. my TV Resolution 1080p. How can I stop this? Thanks
Does anyone know of an extension for Chrome that somehow displays the size of each Youtube video you watch depending on the quality you watch it in? I live in a share-house with 4 other people and I have to monitor our internet so it doesn't get capped before the end of each month and this would be very helpful to me. Thanks.
(csshelp) I created a responsive iframe for a youtube video, but makes my video too big. How do I set a max size so it doesn't fill my whole screen?
I wanted to add a youtube video to my webpage, & I looked up how to make a responsive iframe so that the video would automatically shrink on smaller screens like phones/ipads. The video now adjusts to the screen, but the problem is, it's way too big when viewed on a large screen (like a laptop or desktop). Is there a way I can set it so that the video's max dimensions are the standard youtube video size (560 x 315 or so)?
