Brothers mix up

In P11, the Mitchum Brothers wait in the car for Dougie to meet them somewhere out in the desert. Rodney reminds Bradley why they need to kill Dougie - he took them for 30 jackpots at the casino and was allegedly the reason they didn't get $30 million in insurance relief from their hotel which burned badly to the ground. In P10, boss Duncan Todd ordered Anthony Sinclair, who worked at the insurance agency, to get rid of their 'Dougie Jones problem.' Following orders, Anthony went to the brothers and convinced them that Jones was the reason they did not get the insurance payout.
Mix up: put Duncan Todd and Anthony Sinclair as the brothers in the car in P11 (let's say the 'Todd brothers'), talking about killing Jones. In P10, put Bradley in place of boss Duncan Todd but as the owner of an insurance agency, and Rodney as his top guy (which would also in a way merge Buhsnell and Bradley, as corrupt insurance boss).
In P11, the Mitchum brothers randomly tell Cooper that his son just had to have a gym set. This is like an insurance agent peddling a life insurance policy or something. So the two brothers in that scene are in the spot of one 'Rodney Jones,' the insurance peddler, and Cooper in the place of the 'Todd brothers.' Those brothers had planned to kill this Rodney Jones but he delivered them the insurance money that they had previously been denied. Rodney might have gotten beaten up by Bradley and his goons earlier for suspicion that he was collaborating with the Todd brothers since their hotel burned down, shortly after he sold them the policy (alt version of P5 scene). He was then ordered to fix the problem (similar to the P10 scene), probably by planting evidence to frame them for fraud. Bradley (like Duncan Todd) was under control by a higher level boss, a billionaire version of Cooper (probably French Canadian - alt. to 'Richard Cooper'). He ordered the problem be fixed and Bradley then ordered Rodney Jones to plant evidence.
Rodney was discovered by co-worker Frank (the guy whose coffee Dougie drinks), who went to the police (put this Frank in Dougie's spot in P13). Put Rodney Jones in Anthony's place in P5 (conference room) and in P13 (sobbing) and Bushnell is like the police chief (thus playing two roles - insurance boss and police chief). Rodney Jones can save himself if he goes to the Todd brothers, who are corrupt but actually did deserve the insurance payout, with the check but also wired to get dirt on them (at the restaurant, P11). In P10, we learn the Mitchum brothers had a hit on Ike for some reason and then they see him getting arrested on the news. It follows that the Todd brothers would have a hit on this Bradley, who then got arrested for planting evidence to deny claims. If Rodney Jones gets the Todd brothers locked up, they might be equivalent to Mike and Bobby (S1 pilot) and Bradley equivalent to James - both parties ending up in lockup on the same night.

CASINO REVIEW

Welcomes you with €200 and 100 Free Spins!
The Sorting Hat has changed his occupation from determining which Hogwarts student fits into which Hogwarts house, to determining who will win the big jackpot at this fantastic new online casino. Winner’s Magic is a brand-new online casino which first saw the light of day in May 2019. The online casino is owned by VitaMediaLabs ApS and operated by the well-known White-label-provider Aspire Global.
The website is available in an array of languages ranging from English to German, and also including Norwegian and Finnish. The availability of the casino in different languages means that more people can access the website in their native tongue making it more attractive to players from different corners of the world. Despite the internet reaching everywhere and the casino’s hard work to make it available in several different tongues, Winner’s Magic is restricted to players from Australia, France, Italy, and the United States as well as all countries where online gambling is prohibited by national and/or local law.
In another measure to make their casino available, safe, and trustworthy, Winner’s Magic Casino has acquired remote gambling licenses. This means that with the licenses their customers have an authority to turn to in case they are feeling mistreated. The gambling authorities set up rules and regulations which the online casino must follow to be licensed, the seriousness of such rules depends on the authority. The Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission are two of the toughest gambling authorities and Winner’s Magic is licensed with both, meaning that customers can feel safe when using this online casino.
The online casino also implements an encryption key (128Bit-SSL) to ensure that all private data, handed by the customer to the casino, is kept safe and far away from unauthorized eyes. Additionally, Winner’s Magic is also audited by an independent auditor iTech Labs. They ensure that the games available to play on the casino are random and fair.
Winner’s Magic does not only set out to be a fair and honest online casino experience, but they also want to offer their customers entertainment and fantastic bonuses and promotions. All new players are therefore greeted to the casino with a Welcome Bonus consisting of up to €200 and 100 Free Spins. The Free Spins are allocated to the beloved slot machine from NetEnt – Starburst.
If you want to learn more about this casino, this online casino review will explore all of its parts, starting with taking a closer look into the welcome bonus and other promotions available at the online casino. The review will also look into the online casinos game library, their payment methods, the design of the website as well as the customer support. When concluding, we will reward Winner’s Magic with a score on our Barometer. A high score on that barometer means that we recommend the casino while a lower score means that there are other casinos which we prefer before the mentioned casino.

Winners Magic Casino Games

To keep players engaged to the online casino there must be a big variation of games for players to be entertained and thrilled. A casino’s game library can often make or break it. Being an Aspire Global operated online casino means that Winner’s Magic can offer their customers plenty of options not only when it comes to the number of games but also the number of different categories. Winner’s Magic offers seven categories where players can find games “Featured Games”, “New”, “Video Slots”, “Classic”, “Casino Games”, “Scratch Cards”, and “All Games”.
The biggest category (if you disregard the “All Games” category) is the “Video Slot” category which includes over 400 games. These games are supplied to the casino by some of the most well-known and highly regarded game suppliers in the industry. Some of the most popular slot machine games include “Book of Dead”, “Fruity Friends”, “Wolf Riches” and “Aztec Gold”. These games are supplied by greats within the game supplier industry such as NetEnt, Microgaming, Play’N Go, PariPlay, and BetSoft. The “Video Slots” category also includes jackpot games such as “Bonanza”, “Aztec Gold – MEGAWAYS”, and “Royal Seven XXL”. When a winner hits a jackpot, other players will be able to see their success as Winner’s Magic has a banner with the latest winners on the side of the page that shows the games.
Slot machines can also be found under the category “Classic”, which include titles considered classic slot machines. Some of the titles include “Royal Seven”, “Wild Elements” and “Hot Spin - Deluxe”.
It is more and more popular today for game suppliers to create games inspired by the popular culture. There are games such as “Mission Cash” or “John Hunter and the Aztec treasure” who are reminiscent of character that exist in today’s popular culture (in this case they remind us of James Bond and Indiana Jones). Other games are not just inspired by popular culture but are a part of the franchise such as “Game of Thrones – online slot” or “Jumanji – Video slot”. For players interested in these types of games Winner’s Magic will not be a disappointment as these games and many more are available.
Under the category “Casino games” players will be able to find a selection of top-rated table games with titles such as “Sapphire Roulette”, “Blackjack – Multihand VIP”, and “Baccarat”. This category also includes “Casino Patience” and “Football Studio”. The category includes close to 70 games and it is also under this category that players can find Live Casino games. The Live Casino Games transport the players from wherever in the world they are to a real casino with professional dealers and tables with plenty of other players. The Live Casino games are supplied by one of the most well-known Live Casino game suppliers on the market – Evolution Gaming. Evolution Gaming set themselves apart by not only offering top-quality games, but they also offer many of their games in different languages. Play Roulette in Finnish, German or Norwegian if you dare!
The final category of games available at Winner’s Magic is “Scratch Cards”. This category includes over 60 games. Some of the most popular titles include “Hit The Bank”, “Wizard of all”, “Bingo”, and “Scratch N’ Roll”. The games in this category are all a bit different but what they have in common is that some scratching is required to reveal a win.
We find it incredibly encouraging and exciting that a new casino such as Winner’s Magic offers their customer so many different options when it comes to games. We are also pleased to be able to inform our readers that this casino’s games are independently audited by iTech Labs to ensure that the results are random and fair, yet another point which we find to be very positive.

Winners Magic Casino Depositing and Withdrawing

One of the most important points, when a customer is looking for a new casino, is what payment methods are available for depositing and withdrawing. The online casino must offer their customer methods which are both more local like (Zimpler) and international like Credit/Debit Card.
Winner’s Magic has taken this into account and therefore offer payment methods from the most well-known banking methods as well as some local banking methods. The minimum deposit is €10, and several currencies are accepted. For example, players can deposit Euros, Krona (Norwegian), as well as Canadian dollars and Pounds. The deposits almost exclusively take place instantly.
Once the wagering requirements have been met and the player is ready to withdraw their winnings, there are several methods which can be used. The most common thing is that the method used to deposit is used to withdraw, the only exception to this is when the deposit method is not available to withdraw then the player can choose to for example have the money transferred via Bank Transfer. There is a pending time of 24 hours on all withdrawals. The maximum withdrawal is €7.000/month and the minimum withdrawal for most methods is €10. The limit is in our opinion slightly low but understandable due to the newness of this online casino. There are no fees on withdrawal which is something we appreciate.
We believe that any casino that tries to make their banking methods as wide and accepting as possible have their customer’s best at heart, as can be seen by Winner’s Magic. Unfortunately, we do find that the withdrawal times are slightly slow as the fastest way to withdraw funds still requires three business days. This is not a problem limited to this casino but with most and is something we would love to see the industry change.
Another point which we find great about this online casino is that it implements a 128-bit SSL encryption key on all sensitive data. This means that whatever private information is sent by the customer to the casino is protected and safeguarded from unauthorized eyes. The casino also works hard to prevent fraud and therefore can demand additional verification of identity from the customer. In the case of Sweden, all customers must verify having reached the legal gambling age of 18. The customer will then have up to 30 days to verify their age if this is not done within the time limit the customer’s account will be shut down. In our opinion, any casino that goes the length to abide by the rules and regulations set up by different countries to safeguard the players, are good casinos.

But please don’t pay attention to this staggering offer, it’s not really important. Forget you ever read about the €200,000 Jackpot, and don’t sleep about it or wish for it to become yours. Let some lucky loser claim the €200,000 Jackpot instead; you just go about your business as usual, without the €200,000 Jackpot win in your pocket. (See what we did there? Allow us to be ‘posh’ again. This is referred to as ‘reverse psychology,’ but don’t take believe us; we normally don’t know what we’re talking about, especially when it comes to online scratch card reviews.)
Winorama Casino features an assortment of gaming content, but as you might have guessed, scratch cards are the main focus. (Look how smart you are by being able to guess that! Just because Winorama Casino has a female-sounding name, it doesn’t mean you should be rude! Offer some money first by making a deposit, and then you can have the goods, if you know what we mean…)
The slots section is pretty cool, but we must say it’s somewhat limited, as this is first an online scratch card site, so naturally slots are second. (Kinda like Trump’s policy of ‘America First’ and the whole world second. Even when it comes to having a prepubescent-like man leading your nation, ‘America First’ and rest are second. Catch our drift?)
Special praise must go to Winorama Casino ’s banking methods and currency options; you can use a wide range of payment systems to transfer your funds within a matter of seconds, while also allowing you to play in your preferred currency choice. [ALL] Why he was Red

In P18, someone appeared to have been following Cooper and Laura / Carrie as they were traveling to Twin Peaks.
Laura / Carrie: "Is someone following us?"
Next, the car passed them, and nothing came out of it.
Elsewhere, in P8, Mr C and Ray were driving on some road. Then Mr C noticed something.
Mr C: "There it is."
At the same time, a car - right behind them - was visible in the side-view mirror that was framed in the same shot as the two men. Next, Mr C stretched his hand that perfectly covered the reflection, pointing at something.
Mr C: "Take that little road up there on the right."
When he lowered his hand, the lights were gone from the mirror. Again, nothing came out of it.
Elsewhere, in P4, the limo driver was taking Cooper and his jackpot home from the casino. The driver was looking for the red door. Then he noticed it and lifted his hand.
Driver: "There it is."
Right in front of his index finger, there was an out-of-focus car that was parked on the road, close to the Jones's house. As they stopped, Cooper, who had been looking to his right during the whole time, was now staring directly at the car parked in front of them. Yet again, nothing came out of it.
Elsewhere, in P1, Marjorie Green was taking the policemen to see what was going on in Ruth Davenport's apartment.
Marjorie: "Oh, there it is again. There's that smell."
Watching carefully, camera moved so that just before Marjorie spoke, Ruth's apartment number 216 came into the frame. After that, the camera smoothly moved it out of the frame.
Continuing to assume that in this "dream of time and place" that we should "watch and listen" various numbers attached to locations were used in a very meta manner as references to moments in the season itself, this could point to P2 at 16:00. Right then, Gerard spoke in the Waiting Room.
Gerard: "Someone ... is ... here."
Then the brief scene was cut, and we didn't get to see who there was.
So, we were pointed out three occurrences of a car apparently having an eye on what Cooper and Mr C were up to, each time in a very different corner of the story.
Furthermore, "someone" following Cooper linked to "someone" being in the Waiting Room adds credence to an earlier proposal that the pronoun "someone" in general was used as an abstraction for a certain character in the story. Alternatively, there may have been several "someones", grouped using similar meta cross-references that eventually would help to reveal who they were in the story, but as "no one", "nobody", "somebody", "everybody" and so on seem to be used in similar fashion, it is probably more likely that "someone" also stood only for some specific one (sic), however complicated that might make the story look like.
While two of the cars were nothing but headlights in the night, the third car - even if too out of focus to be outright recognized - was painted dark and had a low ground clearance, like a sports car has.
In P6, when we were introduced to Red, there first was a curious slow sweep of his black 2014 Corvette Stingray. It was never seen again, not even in the same scene, yet they had gone through the trouble of getting it for that one shot.
It is also something interesting how Red himself was called as Red only in the credits. His name in the story was left open, just as was the reason why he was called as Red. There was nothing red in him, yet he was credited as Red.
Let's go back to Cooper and the limo driver talking while looking for the red door. What follows is a brilliant piece of surreal storytelling where two dialogs appear to take place at the same time, the words having different meaning depending which dialog you choose to hear.
Cooper: "Red."
Driver: "No, that's black. Like I was saying, it - it's real tough to see the color at night, so ... There it is."
And if that indeed was Red's black Corvette parked on the road that he pointed at, here was also the likely reason what that name Red was in the credits for.

[All] American Woman

In P1, Mr C was driving his Mercedes to see Buella and get Ray and Darya from back there somewhere. David Lynch's mix of Muddy Magnolia's American Woman was playing in the background.
"I know my worth and who I am
Mister, if you're hard up
I can spare a few grand
Hell will freeze over
And I'll be damned
Before I take orders
From any ol' man
Do I look like --"
Curiously, the song started from the middle and ended mid-sentence.
In P16, the same song was playing again, this time to accompany murderous Diane from the hotel bar to the FBI's computer room. Again, only these verses were played. Again, the song was cut mid-sentence.
In Lynch's free-wheeling storytelling ordinary causality doesn't always seem to apply. Even if the song played with Mr C and then with Diane, it didn't need to have anything to do with either. While the underlying absurdly complex plot seems to have been crafted with extreme precision, the layers above it often seem to go along with pure feeling, combining unrelated elements together only because they feel good together even if they have nothing to do with each other, story-wise.
The select verses seem to be a riddle of sorts, ending with a question. Sort out the meaning of the verses, and you'll realize what the question is.
Let's have a look and make a proposal what the song was used for.
"I know my worth and who I am"
In P10, the Mitchum brothers had been made to think that Dougie Jones was their enemy. They were furious.
Rodney: "Now I know ... how Brando felt."
How did Brando feel? Considering the situation, this was perhaps a reference to Brando's quote about his famous character Johnny in The Wild One (the same character that Wally Brennan had dressed up in P4):
Marlon Brando: "There's a line in the picture where he snarls, 'Nobody tells me what to do.' That's exactly how I've felt all my life.
Interestingly, this seems to fit the verse and the tone of the song as well. Seeing himself as Brando, Rodney wouldn't take orders from anyone.
"Mister, if you're hard up"
In P6, Janey-E was in the phone with some loan-shark about Dougie's debts.
Janey-E: "Hmm? Who can get that kind of money? And what if he doesn't have it? What are you gonna do then? Break his legs? Think about it, it's hard enough to get that kind of money, let alone with broken legs."
"I can spare a few grand"
Dougie's money problems had been solved, though, by a series of jackpots at Mitchum Brothers' casino. In P11, Rodney Mitchum was listing their losses.
Rodney: "Plus, he lost our 30 million, and then he takes our casino for 472 grand."
As things turned out, the Mitchum brothers ended up having their 30 million, and Dougie's jackpots stopped bothering them.
"Hell will freeze over"
In P10, the Mitchums were watching a terrible broadcast of local news. Then came a strange story about Dougie almost getting killed in front of his office.
Bradley: "Freeze it there."
Janey-E (in television): "You just took care of business, right, Doug --"
(Rodney froze the picture to a closeup of Cooper's face.)
Bradley: "That's our Mr. Jackpots, Rodney."
The "hell" in television had indeed been frozen.
"And I'll be damned"
In P11, as the brothers were waiting for Cooper to finish him off, Bradley remembered more of his dream and how the cut in Rodney's face had completely healed. He took the bandage off from Rodney's face that was indeed healed.
Rodney: "I'll be damned!"
"Before I take ordersFrom any ol' man"
In P16, Cooper was in the phone with Rodney.
Cooper: "Rod, I'm bringing my family to the casino in 20 minutes. Meet us in the lobby.
Rodney: "Whatever you need, Dougie."
Cooper: "And then I need a plane to Spokane, Washington."
Rodney: "We're gassing up the jet. We're gassing it up right now."
Hell had frozen over and Rodney had been damned so he was taking orders now. So much for knowing how Brando felt.
"Do I look like --"
The final verse was cut from the middle. It probably was the reason for the riddle.
If the song was indeed about Rodney Mitchum, one question comes immediately in mind. Does Rodney look like ... his brother?
Actors Robert Knepper and Jim Belushi did wonderful work as the Mitchum brothers but physically they were so different that they wouldn't easily have passed as related. Movies often gloss over this kind of issues as getting certain actors is more important than their compatible appearances.
This time it could of course have been the same, but assuming the above was followed correctly, very different looking actors had been cast as brothers decidedly because they were not meant to be biological brothers. The song was then used to point that out and make us think about it.
This would be another piece in the puzzle who these two men really were and what was their role in the story.

[All] Understanding the place, part 2

I listed every occurrence of the "place" used during season 3 in an attempt to try to "understand" it, as urged by Mr C in P16.
In P9 and P11, a "place" was used for the site of the portal by Hasting and Tammy. This was also how Cooper used it in P18. Mr C was looking for "a place" that the coordinates pointed at, and later he was seen following some coordinates to the white portal.
The NYC building top that housed what looked like an artificial portal was also referred to as the "place". Mr C literally materialized next to Twin Peaks Sheriff's station that was also called as the "place". Later in the same episode, Cooper's overlaid head was saying in that same station, "We live inside a dream."
In a Twin Peaks grocery store, Sarah Palmer seemed to briefly fall asleep at the counter. Like she suspected, the room was indeed different when she woke up. Or did she wake up? She wanted to get out of that "place".
In P1, Hastings was accused of murdering Ruth because his fingerprints were in her apartment. But he assured he had been there "only in a dream". So, was he still in that dream? Apparently he had gone to the portal and then transported back to what looked like his home, called as the "place".
Similarly, tucked neatly under the blanket, Major Briggs's giant headless corpse could not possibly have ended up in Ruth Davenport's apartment without a portal taking part in the proceedings. Was it because Hastings's travel partner's head was suddenly back in her apartment - or, what looked like her apartment - and took the Major's body with her? Again, the house was called as the "place".
Carl Rodd called Steven's trailer a "nightmare", and next Steven called it a "place". Things were not right in that trailer, and that still needs a closer look in addition to Steven being "the wrong man".
Locations such as the Black Lodge, the motel above the Convenience Store and Jackrabbit's Palace - the "make-believe world" - were called as "places". When Cole was staring to the portal that opened in the Buckhorn backyard ("this is the place"), he saw the Woodsmen standing on the stairs that led to the motel above the Convenience Store. The otherworldly version of the Roadhouse where orchestra played backwards and the crowd made space for Audrey to dance her dance was referred to as a "place".
Janey-E told Cooper the jackpot money was in their "secret place". Later, she said It was like all their dreams were coming true. Had Dougie winning the jackpot been their secret dream?
All of a sudden, it looked like Shelley and Red were in the same dream as lovers. Red asked Shelly, "Same place?"
Sophie warned Megan - who hinted about using drugs in her room - not to go to that "nut place", and then Megan told her an apparent crazy dream she had had about Billy.
The originator of this riddle, Mr C, called both some farm and The Farm - these two seemingly each other's alternate storylines - as the place. The former was where he had woken up to in the middle of nowhere, all blooded and miraculously alive, whereas the latter looked like Richard's dream.
The South Dakota Buckhorn itself may have been a dreamlike reimagining of the real Buckhorn that was in Nevada, close to Las Vegas.
If the word "place" was used as an abstraction throughout the season - in the style of several other words and phrases used for overloaded purposes - it seems to stand for both an entrance to another reality and that reality itself. But in line with the season's tagline about dreamers who lived inside their dreams, that alternate reality didn't seem to be your average fantasy fiction one but rather a dream that had grown into a world, a twisted and distorted version of the underlying real world to meet the fears, desires and needs of the respective dreamer.
This implies that Lucky 7 - repeatedly called as a "place" - and its apparent counterpart Silver Mustang Casino that had two dice showing 5 and 2 in its logo were ultimately more of the same.
This brings us to the remaining two instances of the "place". There were two individuals who didn't have a "place" to go. Thus, in line with the previous - for a reason or another - there was no dream left for them to live in. In P10, Bradley Mustang was defending Candie.
Bradley: "We fire her, she's got no place to go."
In P17, there was a Fire Walk with Me flashback with Laura and James meeting up in the forest.
Laura: "There's no place left to go, is there, James?"
This was probably a reference to what the Arm told Cooper in the Fire Walk with Me: Missing pieces when Cooper wanted to leave the Waiting Room but he was apparently stuck in the same limbo as Candie and Laura.
The Arm: "You are here. Now there's no place to go but home!"
In P17, Cooper met with Laura in the forest and started leading her through the woods.
Laura: "Where are we going?"
Cooper: "We're going home."
It seems then that even if Laura had no place to go, she could still go home, and so Cooper tried to take her there. That didn't work out. Laura was suddenly taken away, screaming. In P18, Cooper tried the same, with a much older Laura.
Cooper: "I want to take you to your mother's home ... your home at one time. It's very important."
That didn't look like such a great success either. This is something interesting to think about as the implication probably was that Laura didn't have a home left any more, and so trying to take her to what had been her home was no use.
But in the meantime, someone else seems to have been luckier.
Earlier, I proposed that when we apparently saw two Coopers wake up in the hospital and head to Twin Peaks, while one of them was the real Dale Cooper, the other was Major Garland Briggs, having come back for another chance in Cooper's likeness. I also proposed that the real Douglas Jones had been Major Briggs himself.
In P18, it seems we were misdirected to think that when some Cooper returned to Jones's home that it was just his newly minted tulpa, shrewdly sent to keep Janey-E and Sonny Jim company when the real thing wasn't available any more. But a more careful watch reveals that the tulpa Gerard created disintegrated immediately.
Hastings said that Major Briggs "wanted to go to a different place". The Arm reminded Cooper that there was "no place to go but home". And when hugging Janey-E and Sonny Jim, this Cooper said just one thing, "Home!"
Maybe it was only in a dream that Major Briggs was back home, but sometimes one's choices are limited.

(All) The Present, The Future, The Past, The Dreamer & the Wizard of Oz: a theory in two parts

TL;DR: Being 'present' is one of the key 'morals' of Twin Peaks, and the key 'message' the dream gives the dreamer.
This will border on fan fiction for some of you, however I think that one of the great 'morals' of The Return is something that goes rather unspoken; the importance of being 'present'. When this focus on the present is combined with a reading of The Wizard of Oz (one of/Lynch's favourite film), you get a nice overall theory re: 'the dreamer'.
Past, Present, Future: A Cooper for all seasons
If looking for a character focused on 'the present', the obvious choice is Dougie Jones. Dougie is forever 'in the now', moving from delightful coffee to casino jackpot to Naomi Watts as a loving wife, changing the lives of countless others along the way for the better. Nothing is planned, nothing anticipated. Our rational minds tell us that Dougie would be lost if he couldn't plan for the future or learn from the past, yet paradoxically things always work out perfectly for Dougie. The message is clear; being present = good outcomes.
When it comes to thinking about the past, there can be only OG Dale Cooper. Coop is not simply still solving the case of Laura Palmer after 25 years, he actually returns to the past in an attempt to prevent her death. The man, literally, is living in the past, and no matter how you ultimately interpret P18 and Odessa, the impression the show gives us is that something went very wrong with Cooper's attempt to bring Laura home.
For 'future', the clear example is DoppleCooper. Mr. C has been living the life of a drug lord assassin, seemingly for decades. Every fibre of his being should be delighted with what he has accomplished. He should be reveling in his own evil, rejoicing in it, much as OG DoppleCooper was way back in the season 2 finale. And yet, Mr. C is forever looking forward, forever chasing Judy, avoiding the black lodge, the red room, making plans... he never shows any pleasure in life, nothing close to happiness or contentment. He is just going along blankly. Which is to say, his obsession with the future clouds his enjoyment of the present.
If you frame the show into this present > past & future framework, Twin Peaks becomes a kind of spiritual manual, advising you to stay present and not focus too much on the past or future.
The Wizard of Odessa
If you'll permit this post pivoting in a new direction, I found myself thinking about 'the dreamer' in Twin Peaks in relation to this 'message' about being present. Think of a film like 'The Wizard of Oz'. There, the 'moral' of Dorothy's dream is that she already has all the attributes she needs within her. She is the dreamer, and her dream is telling her to believe in herself. She doesn't need a magician to give her courage and intelligence or empathy, she has it already, so says the dream.
In Twin Peaks, if there truly even is a 'dreamer', what is the dreamer to learn from a dream that says 'focus on the present', and, more importantly, why is this particular message being given?
Once again, I'm drawn to thinking about Dale Cooper. If Dale is 'the dreamer' in The Return, then IMO we can also say he is almost certainly still in the red room, sitting in his chair. In his dream, he is forced into some kind of loop, where aspects of himself chase the past and future (with disastrous results), while simultaneously being shown that being present is the way to success.
Coop's subconscious is telling him to wake up. 'Is it future or is it past?' is fundamentally a trick question; it's always the present. What we see in 'the dream' is Cooper's subconscious attempting to wake himself, to realise that he is still in the red room, that he needs to stop living in the past or planning for the future, and just be 'in the now'. He needs to truly wake up, to get out of the seat and leave, to be in the present once again.
Does Cooper succeed? Does his realisation at the end of P18, however confused he is, suggest Coop is starting to understand he might be dreaming, that he is realising something is fundamentally wrong with the world he is living in, and that he needs to wake up? What about that final shot of the red room as the credits roll? Is Cooper realising, at long last, that he needs to wake up... or is this just the cycle beginning anew?

richard and linda

The Richard that we know the most of in S3 has nothing to do with a Linda that we only get a brief mention of in P6 as having mail at the PO. The only association between the two characters comes up in P18 when Cooper is left a letter addressing him as Richard, apparently left by Diane who calls herself Linda. All we really know is that the act of sex in the motel has something to do with the Richard and Linda mystery. Diane/Linda obviously did not enjoy the sex and apparently didn't recognize CoopeRichard anymore, as if he had suddenly changed.
In P8, the main Woodsman approached the car of an older couple who stopped for a moment but then sped off. In the next scene, the 1956 boy and 1956 girl are first shown walking at a distance and talking. The camera POV stays put for about a minute as the two approach and there's a tree between them and the camera as they get close. Then there's a sudden cut to a view of them walking right in front of the camera. From this new view, the young couple walking down the dirt road seem to parallel Cooper and Diane in the car together in P18 before they 'cross' (highly recommended sync: P8 starting 38:49 with P18 starting 6:20: this sudden cut corresponds to exactly when Cooper and Diane cross). Both couples stopped driving or walking and kissed. Cooper and Diane in the car also seem to parallel the couple that stopped briefly for the Woodsman. In both scenes there were the same electrical crackling noises at the spots.
So it seems that the couple that stopped and the two teenagers in P8 are linked to each other in some way and both couples are linked to Cooper and Diane in P18 and the cross, having to do with electricity.
Back to Richard and Linda. Richard is of course the aggressive and rapey son of Audrey Horne. Linda is never shown but there is another possible link to the name if we step outside of the show for a moment (similar to how Albert and Gordon stepped outside in P9 and mentioned Garland dying in a government facility outside of Twin Peaks). Linda Porter was the actress that played the elderly lady at the casino slots who Dougie helped to turn her life around. Also outside the show, Richard Beymer is the actor who plays Ben Horne. Ben was known to be a sexual addict and maybe a predator in his time. So we have a different 'Richard and Linda' to think about. Now, let's take somewhat of a (long) detour to help elaborate on where this is going.
Pennies
The 1956 girl picks up a penny. Coins seem to play an important role in the stories: The LL's clue made Hawk pay attention to a nickel that led him to the diary pages, Red flipped a dime and did a magic trick with it on Richard, and Cooper rubbed quarters and won jackpots. 30 jackpots were won.
In P6, the number 52 is given as Dougie's gambling debt in thousands ("It's up to 52"). Using at least 3 of the 4 coins in different combinations, there are exactly 30 ways to arrive at a sum of 52 cents ('3 out of 4' was used in a different context - 3 of the 4 diary pages were present at the station in P7, one was absent). In total, there is $15.60 (52 x 30): 11 quarters, 47 dimes, 91 nickels and 360 pennies. Let's say this is how much is in the piggy bank. Carrie's house is pink and the address is 1516 (44 cents short of 1560), so it could represent the bank.
There are 360 pennies in the bank and of course 360 degrees in a circle. A gold ring (360 degree circle) was found in Garland's stomach and Albert told Diane about it in P14. In S2, Albert made a joke: "I performed the autopsy on Jacques Renault. Stomach contents revealed-- Let's see. --Beer cans, a Maryland license plate, half a bicycle tire, a goat and a small wooden puppet, goes by the name of Pinocchio." In P7, Albert also said that it was "34 degrees and raining" when he went to fetch Diane. The scale P5 in the coroner's room reads 34 (ounces, probably) while Garland is cracked open. This may establish a system where the number of pennies = degrees = ounces. Maybe there's a storyline where 34 pennies were found in a stomach during an autopsy or there's a barter system of sorts where pennies correspond to different objects. In P12, Ben talked about a bike, there's a Sarah scene who we know likes to eat things, and there's that Kryscol fella in green plaid who might parallel this hypothetical Jacques who wears red plaid. (Did Kryscol eat a bike?)
Back to numbers. 16832 is the address shown of the Paige residence in P7. 5 digit addresses come up a few other times: the Rancho Rosa house is 37890 (and 37889 is across the street where the 119 lady dwells), the P11 house where the boys play catch is 43347, next door to the Jones house is 25146, and MrC's arrest document is 75425.
In P16, Diane checks her phone at the 32 min mark of P16 and the time is 16:32. Besides being a meta reference to the time stamp in the actual show there could also be a link to the Paige residence (16832) and also to P8 at 32 mins. In P8 at that time, the bell alarm had been going off and the Fireman goes to levitate and send the orb through the screen, which turns into a disc. In the 1956 world, the 1956 girl then finds a penny.
Diane's phone at 16:32 also showed 79% charged. 79% of the 5 digit address numbers gives near even numbers (the rounded numbers are between 79 and 80% of the total): 25146 * 0.79 to 20,000, 37890 * 0.79 to 30,000, 75425 * 0.79 to 60,000.
Also, 0.79 * 832 is close to 666. In P14, the Fireman flashed Andy three separate images of electrical poles with #6. 666.
666 goes into the other addresses (after multiplied by 0.79): 25146 (20,000): about 30 times, 37890: about 45 times, 75425 (60,000): about 90 times and 43347 (estimated to 34,632): 52 times. This adds up 217 (3 home addresses + MrC's prison document number). Since these are common degree numbers and there are 360 pennies in the piggy bank, let's add one more P11 house (52) and one more MrC arrest document number (90) to 217 to arrive at 359 degrees. One damn penny short of a 360 degree circle. Of course, the Fireman in P8 goes through a whole hell of a lot to send a penny to the 1956 girl. Does she put it into her bank to make a full circle which is important for some White Lodgian purpose? (Relating to the ring in Garland's stomach? The Giant was also all about the gold ring in S2) [music sync: play NIN - Piggy at 38:30 in P8]. JaneyE also mentioned a single penny in P7: "Just 'cause you have it now doesn't mean you can just run off and risk one more penny." This is just before Ike attacks Cooper. This could tie into the bell alarm sounding in P8 and the Fireman regenerating a penny as a result.
Back to the 34 ounces on Constance's scale. 34 ounces is 2.125 lbs. 212.5/360 = 59%. 284.5 out of 360 is 79% (how much Diane's phone is charged at 16:32) = 45.5 oz, 2.84 lbs. 100% would be 360 degrees (57.6 oz, 3.6 lbs). In P16, Cooper says that he's "100 percent" awake. 57:36 (57.6 minutes) into P5, all the songs of the part are shown in the credits at once on the screen - 10 of them fit exactly. The number of completion. Behind Gordon and also Albert and Tammy P17, 10 boxes appear on the screen when Gordon gets the call in which the number of completion is mentioned. The frozen time in P17 may correspond to that instant during the P5 credits when Cooper is at the statue. Also, if 57.6 is 100%, 10 songs, then each song has a value of 5.76.
"It's up to 52." 52 is 90.28% of 57.6. Does this 'up to 52' ticker max out at 57.6? Also rising in value is the money that Dougie Jones won at the casino which Rodney Mitchum mentions a few times ($425k in P5, $447k in P10, $475k in P11). Soon after he mentions 475 in P11, Jones meets with the brothers. In P6, a stop sign is shown shortly before the boy is run over. Each internal angle is 135 degrees in an octagon, adding up to 1080. When 1080 is taken from 1560 it leaves 480 (just before Richard runs over the boy he says "what the fuck" P6 32:36 just how Bradley says the same thing P10 42:00, so there's some link between the brothers and the hit and run). This could suggest that the rising money total of the Mitchums maxes out at 480 (while the other system maxes out at 57.6). 52 is 90.28% of 57.6, 90.28% of 480 is 433.34. At 425/480 (88.54%) the other ticker would be exactly 51 (51/57.6 = 425/480) and at 475 it would be exactly 57 (57/57.6 = 475/480). Not sure of the significance yet, but the 51 and 57 on the dot seem relevant.
Now let's talk about the weight of pennies: "All U.S. pennies (1-cent pieces) minted since 1982 weigh either 2.5 grams (0.088 ounces) or 3.11 grams (0.109). The 2.5 grams Lincoln Penny is composed of brass (95% copper, 5% zinc), while the 3.11 grams Union Shield is composed of copper-plated zinc (97.5% zinc, 2.5% copper)." 34 ounces is 963.88 grams. Therefore, adding up to a total of 360 pennies, there must be 255 Lincoln, 105 Union pennies to weigh 34 ounces (51/21 ratio).
Richard and Sheryl
What might this 51 to 21 ratio represent? How about age difference? In P16, MrC says to Richard "I'm 25 years your senior." In a more romantic context, Richard Beymer (Ben Horne) is 30 years older than Ashley Judd (Beverley Paige). Beymer's birthday is February 20, 1938. In 1989, at the time of Laura's murder, inside the Twin Peaks story, he would have just turned 51 years old and Sheryl Lee would have been 21 (born April 22, 1967).
Don and Linda
The character Richard Horne is implied to be 25 years old in the show. He sexually assaulted a girl named Charlotte, played by Grace Victoira Cox who was born in 1995 and thus was 21 years old at the time of the show in 2016. If she is put into a new role of 'Linda' (Porter), there might be another actocharacter that is closer to Linda's age who might represent an older Richard. Linda Porter was born in 1933. Don Murray who plays Bushnell Mullins was born in 1929 - the same 4 year age difference of Grace/Charlotte and Richard. If these two were linked up in a storyline that has a foot in and a foot outside of TP, their names could be Don and Linda.
So let's say Don and Linda were a couple driving (possibly in the year 1954 if their ages of 21 and 25 are consistent with the S3 ages) and Richard and Sheryl were walking together after a first date. Richard was sexually aggressive at best or a rapist at worst and Sheryl was going to get assaulted or raped. Don and Linda on the flip side stopped to pick up a hitchhiker on the side of the road that was going to murder them, like how the Woodsman killed the two at the radio station. Don is a nice guy (like Bushnell) and Richard is a bit of an asshole like P18 Cooper at the diner.
Like Cooper and Diane in P18, let's cross these two storylines so that after a jolt of WL electricity Richard is driving with Linda and Don is walking with Sheryl. So basically, Richard and Don swapped bodies/stories. Instead of Richard raping Sheryl, Don (in Richard) acts like a gentleman and goes on his way after their date. Instead of Don stopping to help the hitchhiker, Richard (in Don) tells him to fuck off and keeps going with Linda. Richard takes her to the motel and has sex with her. Linda knows that something is wrong (maybe he's cold or aggressive...she just knows it's not really him) and she leaves him the next morning. Not much harm done there, since Linda had already been with Don so she probably wasn't forced. Just uncomfortable sex in place of a potential double murder. On the filp side, instead of rape nothing happens to Sheryl. Maybe she was into bad guys and gets turned off by her partner's sudden nice guy attitude, but all for the better.
Without the cross (WL intervention) there would thus be a double murder of a couple during a sex act at the motel (Don and Linda), just what we saw in P1 with Sam and Tracey {Cooper in the dark motel room and the reflection off the lamp base resembles the Experimental Model in P1 holding a gold object just before she/it attacks, connecting those scenes}. There may also be a rape. Here Ben resembles Bill in the interrogation room. A storyline where Ben was arrested for the rape of Laura might kick off a different version of the old story. If they are moving in and out of the Twin Peaks world, what might have been a legal relationship between 21 and 51 may have became an illegal relationship between a 17 year old and the much older man.
Diane
Bringing this framework into the S3 surface story, Diane, if she channels the spirit of Linda, might have the task of 'sex verification' - she is called by Blue Rose agents to make sure men are who they used to be...If 'crossing' and body jumping/swapping is a common occurrence in a Blue Rose world. For example, let's say Ed or Andy is arrested and Blue Rose authority figures suspect something is amiss, they could recruit Nadine or Lucy to assume the role of this Diane/Linda sex checker, to confirm their identities. If Nadine or Lucy are on the 'outside,' it would imply that the FBI and Diane are the 'inside' pulling the strings of this investigation.
In P7, the FBI enter into Diane's apartment and from inside there's a cut to the flight to Yankton. The FBI took Diane to see Cooper and we didn't see what the FBI trio were up to that night. We know that a day passed between the FBI's story in P7 and P9 because the night of P7 MrC was released and Gordon was called the next day in P9. Where had they stayed?
In P16, Cooper says "I am the FBI," which may be more literal than it seems. If this was the 'outside' version of Cooper, he may have been released the night of P7 to Diane. Him leaving the red room in P18 would be like leaving a literal prison and Diane, more realistically than being at the portal site alone in the middle of the woods, would be outside waiting. Cooper's two days in P18 may be deceptively collapsed into one, and the lights out at the Palmer house may correspond to MrC waking up in P8, with the story commencing in P9 on the next day. Cooper's P18 journey (as well as MrC's fate after being released in P7) might also collectively build a story for the FBI on that missing night. Maybe they stayed in some dumpy motel and Gordon's room paralleled 'inner' Cooper's room in P18. Maybe there's a 'sub story' where Ray and MrC from P8 (and other parts) parallel Albert and Gordon and Tammy parallels Darya (P2 motel) and Chantal (next door) parallels Diane. In such a story, Tammy and Albert would be conspiring against Gordon.
Hawk went to the portal site in P2. If this Diane/Linda verification system exists on the 'inside' of the story, a different person would have met Cooper 'outside' from prison. The best candidate for that would be a certain Annie Blackburn. If Hawk is somehow involved in this, it may be a certain Diane Shapiro from his POV that met him, with Hawk in Cooper's spot. In P17, Cooper opened the door in the basement and met with Gerard and at this interface between worlds there was a flickering back and forth between them or blending. This may put Hawk in Cooper's spot and it might also build a female Native American version of Annie who was Cooper's love interest in the old story (who replaces Hawk).

mr strawberry, mr jackpots & mr jones

In P7, warden murphy is terrified at the very mention of mr strawberry and joe mcclusky. MrC finished up, 'You'll never see me again, and no one will ever hear anything more about Joe McCluskey or your late Mr. Strawberry.'
The next scene, Andy is waiting, then JaneyE is waiting, both checking their watches. JaneyE stroms up to the office to get Cooper and on the way out they pass a cylinder shaped sculpture with imagery painted on it that could be seen to conjure to mind a strawberry on a branch. JaneyE holding and walking with Cooper also resembles the photo of Jade and Dougie together that was delivered to the Jones house in P6. In that scene, JaneyE said to Cooper "you're in the doghouse mister" and the photo had written "your late" on the back, both likely references to mr strawberry. There appear to be a few storylines blended together in Cooper and JaneyE's scenes, one of which could be about a (mr) strawberry. In P4, cooper arrives with the bag of cash and also calls himself 'mr jackpots.' These nicknames may serve as guides to help us sort the storylines.
The name Joe comes up two other times in the season. The man who delivers Jacoby's shovels is named Joe, as is the security guard at the casino who the floor attendant asks to "watch this one" in P3. Around that time, the elderly slot lady says, "the nutcake left." Then we see Cooper pass a man playing on a slot machine, whose machine glitches (the third panel is blurred out). This man has the same balding pattern as the mystery man in the NYC glass box photo, who may be the same man holding the gun in P6 and monica's male friend in Gordon's dream in P14, where the strawberry sign is shown. A strawberry could also be a symbol on a slot machine. In P3, this strawberry man wears a large ring and is vaping.
In P9, after bill's sobbing confession, Albert is shown and says "fruitcake anyone?" to end the scene. There's then the same cut to the mountains that precedes the P7 scene where mrc tells the guard to tell the warden that he wants to speak with him about a strawberry. Next in P9, there's a scene with ben and beverley that is mostly redundant with the scene in P7 where they dance around the room looking for the source of the noise.
So it seems there are separate 'fruit' and 'nut' storylines the are similar. The former may be linked to mr strawberry and the latter to another mister. Since 'wally' is a character in the story, a certain 'mr walnut' or 'mr walnuts' could be a parallel version to mr strawberry. In P4, as wally's arrival is announced, Frank mumbles 'oh boy' under his breath. Albert did the same thing in P14 when Gordon said that he had another belluci dream (where there's a strawberry sign). Albert may be associated with this 'mr walnut' fella, whose story intertwines with the story of one mr strawberry. One ben and beverley scene could belong to the strawberry story, the other the walnut story.
Warden murphy's name is Dwight. The name dwight was mentioned by Doris to Frank to P5 (he had diarrhea). Angry blonde housewife Doris stormed out of Frank's office, slammed the door and then JaneyE opened her door in the next scene. Although mr strawberry appears to be represented by Cooper in certain scenes or certain shots within certain scenes, it may ultimately be the story of dwight murphy, whose wife is Doris in a rearrangement of what we see in frank's story. Since dwight was shot dead, the fate of mr strawberry in P7 may have been that he was murdered outside of his office, perhaps by a sniper shooter in the courtyard. At murphy's home, there's a cylinder structure as well (which looks to fit as the bottom part of the other one, suggesting the P12 world is upside down...'In'version layer?). In this sense, we can combine parts of Cooper's and the warden's stories to make a story for 'mr strawberry.'
The nickname 'mr jackpots' was given to Cooper by the elderly casino slot lady and Cooper called himself that to JaneyE in P4. She called him that again in P11 at santinos. Her part of the scene in P11 may represent a different storyline than when the 3 girls that arrive - the music speeds up and coffee cups suddenly appear - so the cooper that eats the cherry pie may not be the 'mr jackpots' {there's also a similar 'blurred effect' behind the piano player that there was on the slot machine of the mr strawberry in P3, and Cooper passed the cylinder before picking up the pie, so cooper could become mr strawberry later in the scene}. It's also notable that the $425-$475 grand is never brought up again by the mitchums, so there could be two different 'misters' blended together in their storyline - one who delivers the $30 million relief for the hotel (mr strawberry) and one that took the casino for the lesser sum (mr jackpots). Each may involve a separate mitchum, but since we always see the mitchums together, both plots are always combined. The mr jones may be their enemy that conspired against them to deny them the insurance relief.
Mr jackpots could represent a slow guy who took a casino for a large sum of cash or accidentally walked out with someone else's cash, a mr magoo type fella that mobsters assumed was a criminal mastermind. Mr walnuts may be associated with a suitcase (P2, P3, P14) and may be a criminal mastermind who was caught and pretended to be a sobbing buffoon (P9 confession), like keyser soze. Mr strawberry may have had an affair and there was a blackmail scheme against him and he was killed, maybe by accident because he looks liked the 'mr jones' that denied the mitchums big money. Basically, these stories are all shuffled up and it's our job to sort everything out.
Also, after the casino sequence in P3, Tammy presents the glass box murder case. She uses a remote to present the still images. In P10, Rodney paused the live news on dougie jones, "that's our Mr. Jackpots, Rodney" (which is odd, because that nickname was given to him by the slot lady and the mitchums hadn't heard it yet). In a rearrangement of these storylines, an FBI crew might have been shown surveillance of the casino and saw one of the misters and said "that's our mr strawberry" (or "mr walnuts"). [The wording 'our mister' may be linked to how Jesse announces Wally's arrival, 'their son.' 'Our' son sounds like 'arson,' and the strawberry fella was vaping, so an arsonist may have been spotted on camera]

[All] Sinclair, Candie & versions

In P1 Todd's assistant Roger enters the large office room and receives a large wad of dough from Todd, who tells him to inform somebody that she's got a job. In the background we can see a lobby room that is empty. In P10 Roger comes in again, this time to inform Todd that Ike was captured and it's all over the news, and we see a very similar perspective of the lobby room (although from a slightly further back POV) but Anthony Sinclair is sitting back there.
Todd gives Sinclair orders and he goes to the Mitchums to inform them that Douglas Jones was solely responsible for them not getting the $30M for their hotel burning badly to the ground. In that scene, Candie was ordered to fetch Sinclair from the lobby floor and this took a very long time, and when asked what she was talking she says "oh that we're in the version layer..."
Sinclair then starts talking to the Mitchums. He says "Your new hotel, which burned badly down to the ground a few months back, was ruled arson by an official investigation." In P5 Mullins said that the week prior to the current meeting, the fire at Littlefield was ruled arson, but Sinclair was then insisting it was legit. Back to P10, Sinclair also says " I thought you should know from me, unofficially, on my own that this Mr. Jones did everything in his power to prevent you gentlemen from getting the insurance relief from the loss you suffered that I believe to this day you deserved."
First Candie mentioned the "version" layer, and now Sinclair mentions "official" and "unofficial" in the same scene.
So here's what I'm thinking: The official version may involve: Fire ruled arson last week, wad of dough from Todd to a woman for a job, Mitchums beat up manager in the surveillance room. The unofficial version: Sinclair blames the fire on Jones, the wad of dough from Mitchums for hit on Ike, and Sinclair version of the surveillance room scene. From this framework we may be able to divide the scenes, which often appear in somewhat redundant (but very different in some ways) pairs, into one of two versions. For example Cooper winning jackpots at the casino P3 and the floor manage's fate might only be part of the official version (Cooper is then take to Lacelot Ct in the limo P4), and Cooper taken home P6 by the officer (and to the casino P16 under different circumstances) may be in the unofficial version.

[The 'Candie cut': identical footage of Candie in the surveillance room are used in parts 5 and 10. In P5 she is first shown alone closing the door and then after the Mitchums confront the manager there's a sudden and awkward cut to the three girls. Candie is sideways but then turns into alignment with the other girls and waives her hand as the girls stand there while the floor manager receives a beat down.
In P10 the girls are standing against the wall in the same position we left off in P5, while Rod and Brad (with his Candie cut) look at Sinclair on the screen. They call for Candie to fetch Sinclair and she (eventually) walks over to the door and leaves. The footage of her by the door in P10 on her way out is identical to P5 when she's shown closing it on the way in - it's like P5 was her moving backwards (away from the door) relative to P10 (leaving the girls towards the door). Then in P10 she brings in Sinclair, turns to her left and walks towards the other girls. Her position is the same as it was when she first was shown in P5, and then she starts doing the same hand waiving thing.
Basically, it seems that the fetching of Sinclair can be edited or spliced into a scenario where Candie was standing with the girls the whole time against the wall as the Mitchums were dealing with the floor manager. But also part of the Sinclair scenario was shown in the P5 scenario (just before that awkward cut). I wonder if the "Candie cut" on Bradley's face, which would only exist in the Sinclair scenario, is related to the misplaced shot of Candie in P5 and awkward camera cut?
The cut on Brad's face should only be in the unofficial version (Sinclair in surveillance rm P10) but it may show up in the official version just like the camera cut in P5, for reasons of continuity since we are being shown both versions weaved together (I'm thinking Shelley's cut on her knee from the P11 car scene may also show up in the wrong version, because Becky's second call to her mother in P13 is redundant and has a different outcome). The sudden healing of Brad's cut therefore may signify a complete and sudden shift to the 'official version' where Jones was only to be killed for cheating the jackpots but saved himself by giving them the check they deserved (I'm also thinking the first limo ride to LC in P4 was replaced in this version by this limo ride and he's now is holding the box with the pie rather than the sack of money..which may also signify they are inside a dream).. So as we're moving forward certain parts shown before are being edited/erased].

Don't get sucked in by the thrill of 「Sin City」

User: Joker Jones
Personality: Joker is, in his own words, a wild card. The only reason he ever does anything is that he finds literally everything to just be too damn fun. He doesn't do things on his own, though. He waits in his semi-isolated casino until somebody comes by and wins a jackpot, at which point he will do everything in his power to grant them one request (so long as this request is big enough).
Joker is very over-sexual in that he will almost always be in a suggestive position of some sort (aside from when he's fighting). He will take any chance he gets to get in the bed with someone. However, when he's not like this, he has no sense of sexuality or taboos relating to it whatsoever. In this mood, he will quite casually walk into the shower with somebody to notify them about something immediately. In this way, he seems quite a bit perverted, but he just thinks of it as one of the many ways he can have fun (and in the case of the shower thing, he doesn't see any reason not to tell them an urgent message immediately and directly).
Fighting Style: Joker is a tactical fighter when he needs to be, but he usually just attacks at random and uses his powers in the first way he thinks to. Of course, due to the variety of attacks his stand offers, this isn't usually too much of a problem unless his opponent already knows or guesses what his new strength is. When he isn't using his stand, he uses metallic razor-edged playing cards with varying degrees of sharpness as weapons. He keeps these cards inside of metal card box encased in leather. He can throw these expertly, being able to throw them in a way in which they can even cut through steel cords with ease. The normal numbered cards increase in sharpness depending on their number, while the face cards each have special properties to them.
Stand:

「Sin City」

Appearance: An actual city. This city is constantly lit up but all the cars and such are parked in lots and on the sides of roads. All vehicles have all they need to run immediately available to any who might need them. This city has many random buildings you'd expect to find, but also has about 10 casinos of varying size throughout it from which all the true abilities of the stand come. The city has borders, but rather than going on, the pocket dimension simply stops and puts up invisible walls at the edges. Also, it is perpetually midnight inside the city.
Abilities: 「Sin City」is a very unpredictable stand in that every time someone is thrown into the city, it will randomize which games are bad and which one is good. How are they thrown into the city? Well, if Joker shakes hands with somebody, him and whoever he shakes hands with (also any allies they have in the immediate vicinity) will be teleported into it. A park in the center of the city houses a lake with a few small speedboats on it. Due to the nature of the stand, victory is largely decided by chance. So what is the nature of the stand? Well, its abilities are like so:
Gambling Addiction: This is the only real ability that 「Sin City」possesses. The way it works is that, until a certain game in one of the many casinos is won, Joker will be immune to all harm. He can still, however, be trapped, knocked away, or simply escaped. However, the much more dangerous side to this ability is that every time somebody fails the right game or fails or wins the wrong one, Joker gains a new strength. All the abilities Joker can have are as follows (all can be turned on or off at will):
  1. Knife hands: this allows Joker to cut through extremely strong materials by simply making his hands into knife-hand shapes. He can also parry other sharp objects as if his hands were swords.
  2. Bomber bat: this is a relatively normal-looking wooden bat with an iron ringed nailed into it at the end. However, when he swings it, it creates a massive shockwave capable of destroying walls and toppling multiple cars. If he jumps while swinging the bat, he gets propelled with huge force in the opposite direction of the swing.
  3. Stopwatch: this is a golden chained pocket watch that freezes anybody it comes into contact with (other than Joker) and makes them immune to damage for thirty seconds before disintegrating itself and allowing the person it came into contact with to move and be damaged again. After dissolving, this power can be regained through one of Joker's victims failing a game.
  4. Coin gun: this is literally just the coin gun from Terraria (but unpixelated and with infinite ammo, of course). It can shoot coins with the force of normal bullets at the speed of a machine gun. Due to the recoil, Joker is essentially immobile while firing this gun. Here's an image (imagine it being non-pixelly): shorturl.at/acIJ2
  5. GPS: this is the rarest ability for Joker to get, but the most powerful. It allows him to constantly know the locations of everybody in the city, as well as the location of the correct game to win. To everybody but Joker, however, the correct game and Joker's location will not be visible. (As a side note: if someone wins or loses a game, it tells them whether or not it was the correct game, so this doesn't make it impossible.)
  6. Stand down: this is exactly the same as the pocket watch but works for stands (which can be summoned inside the city, unlike Death 13's dream world). It also works for twice as long. If a stand is deactivated during this period, they will be unable to be reactivated until the time is up.
  7. Strong liquor: this is a seemingly normal high-quality bottle of wine, but whenever Joker drinks from it, he gets stronger and faster rather than drunker. Two bottles make him about 3 times as strong and fast as a normal human, and that is his limit. However, these buffs do decrease over time, so he will have to replenish them every once in a while.
  8. Lockdown: this makes it so that only Joker can start up any vehicles in the city. Any vehicles that are already going, however, may be used by anyone, albeit with full gas tanks that will deplete normally rather than unlimited energy. This ability also gives Joker full access to all security cameras and the small, pistol-like guns on them (which contain limitless ammo).
  9. Property protection: this ability quite simply prevents anyone but Joker himself from destroying anything in the city directly. Ramming vehicles into the sides of buildings will still do damage, however, as it is not actually the driver causing said damage. Eating food (which, though it is all created by the stand, is still very real and perfectly normal) does not count as damaging the city. All doors and such are unlocked and so everything is still accessible.
  10. Deck of cards: this is an ability that is a product of the fact that Joker can't actually take his precious playing cards with him into the city, meaning that he must gain them through his victims failing a game. These cards still have all the "normal" abilities they have in the real world, but are nonetheless still a deck of deadly dicers.
Extra info: Firstly, I'd like to request that this not be used in standoffs due to its luck-based nature. And also, I'd like to congratulate everybody who read through the whole thing! If you came down here looking for a TL;DR, then I'm sorry I couldn't give you one. However, I do wish you'd read the whole post, as I put in a lot of effort and lost a lot of sleep making it.

[S3E11] Twin Peaks: The Return - A Timeline

By carefully parsing clues, it is possible to create a timeline of events across the various locations in The Return.
This timeline is current through Part 11. It includes only those scenes that can, at present, be reliably pinned to a specific day relative to the other events of the series.
Explanatory comments, describing how one can know that certain things happen on certain days, are in brackets.
Enjoy.
Thursday, September 6 (approximately)
Buckhorn:
• Bill Hastings posts a blog entry describing how he and Ruth Davenport entered an alternate dimension and met "the Major." During that meeting, Major Briggs asks them to find and bring him certain coordinates. [During Bill's interview with Tammy Preston, in which these facts are revealed, Tammy says the blog entry was posted "approximately two weeks ago." That interview took place on September 20, based on the number that Hastings appeared to write as the date next to Briggs' picture.]
. . .
Thursday, September 13
Buckhorn:
• Bill Hastings and Ruth Davenport reenter The Zone and give Major Briggs the coordinates he asked them to find; Briggs floats and loses his head; Ruth is killed; Bill finds himself back at his home. [Bill's first police interrogation establishes that Thursday was the night Ruth was killed. His subsequent interview with Tammy Preston, in which he says these events happened "last Thursday," was on Thursday, September 20.]
Las Vegas:
• Dougie Jones goes missing. [When Dale Cooper first meets Janey-E after arriving home from the casino, she says that Dougie has been missing three days (see below for why the CoopeDougie switch happens on Sunday, Sept. 16). When Cooper goes to the office as Dougie the next day, his boss Bushnell Mullins mentions metaphorically that he "missed the last two days of school," indicating that he's been gone for two work days. Also, Phil explains that he didn't buy coffee for Dougie because he wasn’t sure he'd be there. If Dougie skipped work on Thursday, he would have missed two work days, matching the clues from work, while from Janey-E's perspective he'd have been gone for three days when he arrived home on Sunday night.]
Friday, September 14
Buckhorn:
• Briggs' body & Ruth Davenport’s head are discovered around 12:30 p.m. (based on the clock in Ruth's apartment). [We know this is Friday based on subsequent scenes with the Buckhorn police.]
• Mr. C, Ray, Darya, and Jack eat supper at a diner; Ray promises to get the information that Mr. C needs wants from Bill Hastings' secretary; Jack presumably is given the job of wiring Betty's car. Mr. C indirectly reveals that "the day after tomorrow" is when he is supposed to be pulled back into the Black Lodge.
Saturday, September 15
Buckhorn:
• At the police station, Bill's fingerprint hits are discovered around 12:15 p.m., based on the clock on Constance Talbot's computer. [Detective Dave Macklay is wearing different clothes from the day when the bodies were discovered.]
• Bill is arrested and later questioned in jail. [His comments reveal that this is a Saturday, and he is wearing the same clothes as when he was arrested, as is Dave.]
• The Hastings' house & car are searched.
• Mr. C kills Jack in the afternoon, now that Jack presumably has wired the secretary's car.
• Mr. C kills Darya early the same evening (he says he killed Jack "two hours ago"), and talks with Phillip Jeffries (or an imposter). [We know this takes place the day after the diner scene, because at the diner Mr. C said he would need to spend some time alone "the day after tomorrow," and in the motel room he tells Darya he is supposed to go back to the Black Lodge "tomorrow." Also, Jeffries/imposter tells Mr. C that he is going back to the Lodge "tomorrow," and Ray tells Darya that she will need to kill Mr. C herself "if he's still around tomorrow night."]
• Mr. C tells Chantal that he needs her and Hutch to be in place in a certain area "in a few days."
• Phyllis Hastings visits Bill in jail. [Both are still wearing the same clothes as earlier; Dave too.]
• As Phyllis arrives home at night, Mr. C kills her. [She's still wearing the same clothes.]
• At the police station, Constance discovers a fingerprint hit on Briggs' body. [Dave is still wearing the same clothes, and the clock says 12:18, so it must be 12:18 a.m. (technically Sunday).]
Sunday, September 16
Las Vegas:
• Dougie is pulled into the Red Room; Cooper takes his place.
South Dakota:
• Bill Hastings' secretary dies in a car explosion. [Detective Macklay later explains to Gordon Cole & co. that this happened "the next day" after they arrested Hastings.]
• Mr. C, driving west on the highway (which we later learn from Tammy), crashes his car but resists being pulled into the Lodge. He gives in to the urge to vomit only after seeing Dougie sitting in the Red Room, which presumably makes him aware that it is now safe to vomit because Dougie has been pulled back in his place. Police later arrive at the scene. [This scene cannot be happening on a Friday or a Saturday, because it is occurring simultaneously with the switch between Cooper and Dougie, and that switch, in turn, cannot happen on a Friday or Saturday because the very next day, and the day after that, are both work days -- as revealed by Cooper's trips to Dougie's office both days. Placing the switch on a Sunday makes the Buckhorn and Vegas timelines line up consistently.]
The Red Room:
• Cooper is told by the Evolution of the Arm that "you can go now"; he sees the South Dakota highway where Mr. C will be driving when the switch with Cooper is supposed to occur; but he is blocked from entering that world and instead is cast into non-existence by the Arm's doppelganger. [This scene happens before Cooper switches with Dougie, because Cooper later recalls the line "you can go now" when Jade says it in her car.]
• After being pulled into the Red Room, Dougie speaks with MIKE and turns into a gold ball.
Las Vegas:
• After Cooper takes Dougie's place, Jades takes him to the Silver Mustang casino and is generally hilarious; the hit men fail to kill Cooper on the way; he wins jackpots; at night he's driven to Dougie’s home by limo.
• Gene (one of the hit men) speaks with Lorraine on the phone that night and reports that they have not killed Dougie. Lorraine sends the text message ARGENT 2.
Monday, September 17
Las Vegas:
• Cooper dresses, gets a message from MIKE, takes five, is driven to his office by Janey-E, gets through his first work day, is given a "homework" assignment, gets stuck standing by the cowboy statue, is taken home by the security officer, eats dinner, communes with Sonny Jim, gets another message from MIKE, and does his assignment with supernatural aid.
• At Rancho Rosa, red car drives by. Black car drives by.
• At the casino, the Mitchum brothers beat and fire the manager, then tell his replacement to contact them if Cooper ever shows up there again.
• At the car wash, Jade puts Cooper's Great Northern room key into a mailbox. [This could take place on a later day instead, but probably not too much later, because Jade hasn't discovered the key before now but immediately remembers it.]
Philadelphia / Washington, D.C.:
• Gordon, Albert, and Tammy finish their "Congressman’s dilemma" meeting. Tammy reports on what she found in New York regarding the box. News of Cooper's reappearance comes in, and Gordon says they'll travel to see him the next morning.
• Gordon meets with Denise. [Gordon says they’re seeing Cooper "tomorrow."]
South Dakota:
• In Buckhorn, Constance graces Dave and the state detective with a comedy routine, shows them Briggs' body, and explains that he hadn't eaten for days but had Dougie's ring in his stomach. [This could have been on Sunday instead.]
• In Yankton Federal Prison, Mr. C is given his meal and communes with BOB. [This is not likely on Sunday, because Mr. C appears completely recovered from his crash, and it feels like he's been in the prison longer than would be possible if he had crashed his car at 2:53 p.m. that same day.]
Tuesday, September 18
South Dakota:
• Gordon, Albert, Tammy arrive in South Dakota early in the morning, then meet Mr. C in prison. Gordon tells Warden Murphy to give Mr. C his "private" phone call.
• Later, Mr. C makes his call. After deciding against calling Mr. Strawberry, he makes the prison system go crazy while delivering the message, "The cow jumped over the moon."
Philadelphia:
• Gordon finds Diane in Max Von's Bar that night. [This is likely Tuesday night because they flew to South Dakota first thing and met with Cooper at 9 a.m.; they likely flew right back, and given the urgency of things they wouldn’t have waited an extra day before trying to reach Diane.]
Las Vegas:
• At Rancho Rosa, the black car returns and the thieves trigger the explosive device on Dougie's car. Police later arrive and recover the debris and license plate number.
• Cooper goes to Dougie's office and meets with Bushnell, who catches on to the significance of what Cooper has revealed in the insurance files.
• Janey-E meets Dougie’s bookies in the park and stands up for the 99 percent.
• Mr. Todd gets his "red box" message and sends Dougie & Lorraine’s photos to Ike the Spike. Ike then kills Lorraine, who has just received news about the Rancho Rosa car explosion.
• In late afternoon, Detectives Fusco visit Cooper at Dougie's office, and Janey-E arrives. The Fuscos ask them to call in the morning. Cooper and Janey-E leave the office and are attacked by Ike the Spike.
Wednesday, September 19
Philadelphia and South Dakota:
• Albert reports to Gordon about his meeting with Diane; they visit Diane at her apartment (it is still morning), and they fly to South Dakota, where Diane confronts Mr. C.
• Mr. C meets with the warden and demands to leave at 1 a.m. that night.
• Mr. C and Ray are let out of the prison. [The warden is wearing the same clothes throughout these scenes.]
• Mr. C and Ray drive to a secluded road, where Ray shoots Mr. C and the woodsmen figures appear. Ray calls Jeffries/imposter.
Las Vegas:
• Cooper, Janey-E, and Bushnell Mullins visit the Detectives Fusco at the police station. The Fuscos get Cooper’s fingerprints before leaving to attend the capture of Ike the Spike.
• From his motel, Ike calls the cell phone of "JT" with a message: "no cigar -- taking medical leave." He is arrested.
• Cooper goes to the doctor, then plays doctor with Janey-E.
• Candie hits Rodney Mitchum with a TV remote.
• That night, Rodney and Bradley see Ike's capture and Cooper on the local news. [The news report says that Ike’s capture happened "today," and that his attack on Cooper happened "yesterday." According to the weather report that precedes the news, the following day is a Thursday.]
• Duncan Todd learns from Roger that Ike's capture is all over the news. He then instructs Tony Sinclair to make the Mitchum brothers believe that Dougie sabotaged their insurance claim.
• Tony visits the Silver Mustang and tells the Mitchum brothers they have an enemy in Dougie Jones. [He's wearing the same clothes as when Duncan Todd gave him his instructions, and Duncan had order him to visit the brothers "now."] Back at their home, the brothers agree to call Dougie the next day to set up a meeting.
Thursday, September 20
South Dakota:
• Mr. C meets up with Chantal and Hutch, instructs them to kill Warden Murphy "within the next two days," says he’ll then have a double-header for them in Las Vegas, sends a text message ("Around the table…"), and calls Duncan Todd to see if "it" is done yet.
• On the plane heading back east, Gordon receives a call from Colonel Davis regarding Major Briggs' body and redirects the plane to Buckhorn; he then receives a call from Warden Murphy informing him that Mr. C "escaped."
• Gordon & co. visit the Buckhorn morgue and view Briggs' body; Albert is rightly impressed with Constance; Diane receives a text message with the same words as the one sent by Mr. C (but with different punctuation and capitalization); she sends a message in response.
• At the police station, Tammy interviews Bill Hastings.
• At the hotel that night, Albert and Constance get cozy in the restaurant; Gordon sees a vision of Laura outside his door; Albert and Gordon discuss Diane’s text messages; Tammy brings them a photo of Mr. C at the box in New York.
Las Vegas:
• In the early morning, Duncan Todd receives his call from Mr. C, and then calls in Roger.
• Janey-E drives Cooper to work, where he meets with Bushnell, who explains that the Mitchums just called him. Bushnell explains things and sends Cooper to meet with the Mitchums (after a detour when Cooper follows MIKE to buy a pie).
• The Mitchum brothers eat breakfast around 2:30 p.m. and discuss killing Dougie.
• Around 5:30 p.m., Cooper and the Mitchum brothers meet in the desert; the brothers decide not to kill him; and they all have a lovely dinner with cherry pie for dessert.
Friday, September 21
South Dakota:
• Gordon & co. travel with Hasting to the site where he entered The Zone; Ruth’s body is discovered; Hastings is killed by a woodsman.
• At the Buckhorn police station, Albert shows a photo of Ruth's arm, and Diane tries to see the coordinates written on it.
. . .
Saturday, September 29
Twin Peaks:
• Hawk, Bobby, and Truman visit Betty Briggs and receive the vial, then return to the Sheriff's station, where they eventually open it. [The dates written on the first slip of paper, 10/1 and 10/2, are "two days from now, and the day after." Truman says, "We'll go up there two days from now."]
• Hawk shows Truman his map. Margaret calls tells Hawk there's fire where he’s going. [He mentions that the date Briggs provided is "the day after tomorrow."]

[S3E13] The Basic Story So Far

Rearranging the the episode summaries on Wikipedia and the Wikia I came up with this three part basic summary (not including everything):

Good Cooper

Dale Cooper remains trapped in the Black Lodge.
[In New York City, Sam Colby sits in a warehouse watching a glass box. Tracey Barberato visits him. With the security guard absent during Tracey's second visit, Sam lets her into the room. As they have sex, a pale androgynous entity—the Experiment—materializes in the glass box and murders them.]
Inside the Lodge, Cooper encounters MIKE, Laura and a skeletal tree with a featureless head (an evolved form of MIKE's severed left arm). Laura tells Cooper that he can go out now but the tree says that his doppelgänger has to return first. After an encounter with the tree's doppelgänger intervenes, the floor of the Lodge gives way and Cooper falls into the glass box in New York, then into space. Cooper lands in a metal building where two women (Naido and American Girl) appear to protect him from an unseen entity until he leaves through a portal.
Dougie Jones, who just had sex with Jade, a Las Vegas prostitute, becomes sick and sees the Lodge's red curtains. Dougie is drawn into the Lodge, where he turns into a golden bead. The real Cooper, taking Dougie's place in Las Vegas, is found in a disoriented state by the prostitute, who drops him off at a casino. Criminals who are pursuing 'Dougie' place a bomb under his car, still parked outside the Jade's house. Cooper wanders around the casino and plays slot machines marked by hallucinatory images of the Lodge, winning megajackpots every time. Cooper wins 28 consecutive megajackpots at the casino, totaling $425,000, then is driven to Dougie's home. Dougie's wife, Janey-E, is upset about her husband's three-day disappearance, but she is relieved that they can pay his $20,000 gambling debt ($52,000 after interest).
Still near-catatonic, Cooper settles into Dougie's life. While getting dressed, he sees a vision of MIKE, who informs him that either he or his remaining doppelgänger must die. Janey-E drops Cooper at Dougie's workplace, where he reacts to a statue outside, the smell of coffee, and the words "agent" and "case files". After a light illuminates a colleague's face, Cooper accuses him of lying, angering Dougie's boss.
The criminals who planted the bomb under Dougie's car contact their superior, Lorraine, who expresses fear of being killed if the job isn't completed and sets off a mysterious alarm. Later, Dougie's car explodes when some car thieves trigger the bomb. The Mitchums beat and fire the casino supervisor, accusing him of complicity in Cooper's winning streak. Jade drops Cooper's Great Northern Hotel room key in a mailbox. Police take Cooper to Dougie's home and Janey-E receives a photo of Cooper with the prostitute from two criminals demanding Dougie's gambling debts plus interest, totaling $52,000. Janey-E meets them, lambasts them and gives them $25,000, her "first, last and only offer".
Cooper draws cryptic images on the case files, guided by lights on the pages. Dougie's boss recognizes a pattern in the drawings and thanks Cooper. Cooper has another vision of MIKE telling him "Wake up! Don't die!". Duncan Todd retrieves an envelope marked with a black spot from his safe and sends it to hitman Ike "The Spike" Stadtler. The envelope contains photos of Lorraine and Dougie. Ike kills Lorraine and her coworkers, demolishing his signature "spike" weapon in the process.
Police visit Cooper at Dougie's workplace to question him about his destroyed car. As he leaves with Janey-E, Ike runs at them with a gun, but Cooper expertly disarms him while having a vision of the skeletal tree. Dougie's boss says that Dougie sometimes has episodes due to a car accident. The Las Vegas police discover no record of Dougie Jones before 1997, and take fingerprints and DNA from Cooper's coffee mug. They arrest Ike "the Spike", who has left a phone message for "J.T". Duncan Todd orders Anthony Sinclair to frame 'Dougie' for the denial of an arson insurance claim that lost the Mitchums $30 million. The Mitchums see a news story about Ike's arrest, and recognize Cooper as "Mr. Jackpots".
Janey-E notices that her husband's physique has improved and has sex with him. Dougie's boss sends Cooper to give the Mitchums a $30 million check after realizing their claim is legitimate. The Mitchums plan to kill Cooper, but after Bradley has a prophetic dream, they decide he is not their enemy and take him for drinks, where Cooper reacts to the words "damn good" while eating cherry pie.
Cooper and Sonny Jim play catch.
The Mitchum brothers and their assistants take Cooper to Bushnell Mullins' office, celebrating and bearing gifts for Mullins. Anthony Sinclair hides from the brothers as he fearfully calls Duncan Todd, who gives him one day to kill "Jones."
Delivery men bring a gym set for Sonny Jim and a new car to the Jones home as Janey-E happily looks on. Janey-E and Cooper later watch Sonny Jim play on his new gym set.
The Detectives Fusco look over the results of "Douglas Jones"' fingerprint as an altercation takes place in the next room. Sinclair comes to see Detective Clark for poison.
Janey-E takes Cooper to work in the new car. Sinclair waits nervously for "Dougie" and takes him to get coffee. After taking a sip, Cooper wanders over to observe the shop's pie as Sinclair laces his coffee. He returns and Sinclair breaks down, leaving with the poisoned coffee. Cooper takes Sinclair's coffee and is brought a slice of pie. Sinclair pours the coffee into a urinal and throws the cup in the trash before apologizing to "Dougie."
In Mullins' office, Sinclair tearfully confesses his activities with Todd.

Bad Cooper

In Buckhorn, South Dakota, Cooper's doppelgänger—a sinister, long-haired man with black irises—retrieves two associates, Ray and Darya. Police find the severed head of Buckhorn librarian Ruth Davenport placed on the headless body of a John Doe. Local principal Bill Hastings's fingerprints are found and he is arrested. Bill denies guilt, but fumbles his alibi. His wife, Phyllis, accuses him of having an affair, while Phyllis has been having an affair with Bill's lawyer, George. A ghostly woodsman occupies another cell. Phyllis is murdered at home by Cooper's doppelgänger. Cooper's doppelgänger attempts to obtain information through Darya, Ray, and another associate, Jack. Perceiving that his associates have turned on him, Cooper's doppelgänger murders Jack and Darya, and later sets out for a federal prison in South Dakota, where Ray has been jailed. He also reveals that he is due to return to the Lodge, but has a plan to avoid this.
Cooper's doppelgänger drives a car, becomes sick and sees the Lodge's red curtains. Cooper's doppelgänger crashes and is apprehended by the police. At the FBI headquarters in Philadelphia, Agent Tamara Preston is debriefing Gordon Cole and Albert Rosenfield when Cole receives a phone call stating that Cooper has been found in South Dakota. The FBI is informed that Cooper has been found and taken to federal prison in South Dakota, where he is interviewed by Gordon, Albert, and Tammy. Gordon and Albert discuss their misgivings about the inmate, one of whose fingerprints is the reverse of Cooper's. They decide to seek the one person they think can help them. Cooper's doppelgänger makes a phone call in prison that causes the security system to go haywire. He says "The cow jumped over the moon," before hanging up, stopping the alarms.
In Buckhorn, an autopsy of the decapitated body reveals Dougie's wedding ring in the stomach.
Cooper's doppelgänger sits in his jail cell and correctly predicts that his food is coming. He takes his food and goes to the mirror, noting that BOB is still with him.
At the Pentagon, Colonel Davis is informed that the fingerprints on the Buckhorn body match Garland Briggs's – the sixteenth set of his prints they have found in 25 years. Albert finds Diane, Cooper's erstwhile assistant, in a bar. Lt. Knox arrives in Buckhorn and is stunned to learn that Garland Briggs's fingerprints come from a body in its late forties, not seventies. Albert and Gordon convince Diane to speak to Cooper in prison. She is upset by the conversation and tells Gordon the man is not Cooper.
Cooper's doppelgänger blackmails Warden Murphy into releasing him and Ray. Ray shoots Cooper's doppelgänger. Woodsmen tear at his body, revealing a sac with BOB's face. Ray flees, leaving Phillip Jeffries a message that Cooper's doppelgänger may have survived. Later, Cooper's doppelgänger awakens.
[In 1945 New Mexico, the first atomic bomb is detonated. A convenience store is occupied by woodsmen. Floating in a void, the Experiment spews a stream of fluid; one globule manifests BOB's face. In a building above a purple sea, a man resembling the giant watches the detonation, the convenience store, and BOB. He levitates, light emanating from his head. Señorita Dido enters, and an orb with Laura Palmer’s face inside floats down to her. She sends the orb to Earth. In 1956 New Mexico, a creature hatches from an egg. A woodsman descends to the ground, then enters a radio station and kills the receptionist. Overpowering the disc jockey, he repeatedly broadcasts the words "This is the water and this is the well. Drink full and descend. The horse is the white of the eyes and dark within", rendering listeners unconscious. The creature enters an unconscious girl's room and climbs down her throat. The woodsman kills the disc jockey and leaves.]
Cooper's doppelgänger meets hitmen Hutch and Chantal at a farm. He sends a text to Diane and calls Todd to ask if he has done "it" yet. He orders Murphy's death and mentions a job in Las Vegas.
The FBI stops in Buckhorn to examine the body with Briggs's fingerprints. Hastings tells Tammy that he and Ruth visited Briggs in another dimension, where he had been "hibernating" for years, and witnessed his beheading as he was saying Cooper's name. Hastings's secretary was killed in a car explosion and his lawyer arrested for the murder of his wife.
Gordon has a vision of Laura. Albert informs him that the FBI has intercepted a text message from Diane informing someone of Hastings' arrest. Tammy shows them a photo that places Cooper's doppelgänger at the location of the New York murders. At the location where Hastings met Briggs, the FBI finds Ruth's body with coordinates written on one arm. Gordon sees woodsmen in a portal and is drawn back by Albert. One of the woodsmen sneaks up on Hastings and kills him.
Gordon and Albert recruit Tammy and deputize Diane to the Blue Rose task force. Albert interrupts Gordon and his French lady friend to show him a text message Diane received asking about Las Vegas. Chantal and Hutch assassinate Warden Murphy. Diane finds that the coordinates on Ruth Davenport's arm point to Twin Peaks.
Cooper's doppelganger arrives at the farm as Ray and his associates watch him on security camera. They bring him to their location and he says he is there to see Ray. He is told that Renzo is the leader of the men, as he is undefeated in arm-wrestling. The doppelganger likens this practice to children's games and challenges Renzo, wagering Ray. After much toying with his opponent, the doppelganger wins, then kills him.
As the group' new leader, he is granted his request to be alone with Ray, who – after being shot in the leg – tells him the details of his contract from Phillip Jeffries to kill the doppelganger, as he has "something inside" (Bob) that he wants. Ray takes out the owl cave ring, saying that he was supposed to put it on him after killing him. Richard Horne joins the group as they watch on camera the doppelganger and Ray, who hands over the coordinates. Ray tells the doppelganger Jeffries' last known location and is killed. The ring disappears from his finger and appears in the red room, followed by himself. MIKE places the ring on its pedestal.
Hutch and Chantal drive towards Utah, discussing Mormons.

Twin Peaks

Dr. Jacoby receives a shipment of shovels. Dr. Jacoby broadcasts conspiracy theory videos to sell his golden shovels, with Jerry Horne and Nadine Hurley among his viewers. Nadine Hurley watches Dr. Jacoby's latest broadcast from her drapery store.
At the Great Northern, Ben Horne introduces his brother Jerry to his new secretary, Beverly.
Deputy Chief Hawk gets a call from the Log Lady, who tells him some evidence relating to Dale Cooper is missing. Hawk continues his investigation and approaches Glastonbury Grove, the entrance to the Lodge near Twin Peaks. Hawk, Andy and Lucy are unable to discern what is "missing".
Sheriff Frank Truman gets an update on Hawk's investigation, and Deputy Bobby Briggs recalls that Cooper was the last person to see his father, Major Garland Briggs, before his death.
Andy and Lucy's son Wally Brando arrives at the Sheriff's Office to pay his respects to his godfather, Harry Truman.
Norma sorts through documents as Heidi is serving and Becky delivers bread to Toad and gets money from Shelly. Norma goes to Shelly, urging her to help Becky rather than continue to enable her. Becky takes the money to Steven and they snort a drug.
At the Twin Peaks sheriff's station, Hawk and Andy continue to sort through files.
Richard Horne smokes underneath a 'no smoking' sign. Employee Federico asks him to quit and the off-duty Deputy Chad Broxford takes over but ends up taking a bribe from Horne. Charlotte, from the next table over with Elizabeth, asks him for a light, but he grabs her and threatens to assault her.
Shelly is meeting friends at the Roadhouse, shares a nostalgic moment with James Hurley and flirts with Red. Red, who is a drug supplier, charges Richard Horne with a delivery. Richard speeds recklessly in his truck, running over and killing a young boy. The incident is witnessed by Carl Rodd, who comforts the boy's mother, and kindergarten teacher Miriam.
Hawk drops a coin in the bathroom and sees that the stall manufacturer's logo is a Nez Percé chief. Noticing two screws missing from the stall door, he finds several written pages inside.
Jerry Horne wakes up in the woods, extremely stoned from his last bout of doing drugs. He calls Ben, frantically claiming someone stole his car and he does not know where he is.
Hawk and Frank Truman examine the pages torn from Laura's diary. One entry describes a dream in which Annie tells Laura that the good Dale is trapped in the Lodge. Frank calls Doc Hayward, who recounts his memories of the day Cooper returned from the Lodge.
Andy arranges to meet the farmer who owns the truck driven by Richard Horne in the hit-and-run, but he never arrives.
Beverly tries to locate the source of a mysterious hum in Ben Horne's office, then returns home to her terminally ill husband, Tom.
Roadhouse owner Jean-Michel talks on the phone about his prostitution business.
Late at night at the Double R Diner, Heidi and Shelly serve customers while Norma goes through some paperwork. A man runs in and asks if anyone has seen Billy before running out again.
Bobby visits his mother with Truman and Hawk to ask about Cooper; her husband Major Briggs long ago foretold their arrival, and she gives them a cylinder containing a location, date, and Cooper's name written twice.
Johnny Horne injures himself, and Jerry Horne hallucinates his foot is talking to him.
Truman removes a slip of paper with directions, which Bobby understands, noting the "Jack Rabbits Palace" to be an imaginary place he and his father had during his childhood. Also in the object is the transmission Briggs intercepted with Cooper's name.
Ben and Beverly again investigate the strange noise in the hotel, which Ben likens to a monastery bell. The two nearly share a romantic moment, but Ben politely refuses.
Richard Horne confronts Miriam, who tells him she has written to Sheriff Truman about the hit-and-run. He attacks her and leaves her for dead in her trailer, then has Deputy Chad intercept the letter.
Carl plays guitar and sings outside of his trailer and stops when a red mug is thrown through a trailer window by Steven Burnett, who is inside abusing Becky.
Jerry, lost in the woods, yells when he loses phone signal.
Richard attacks his grandmother Sylvia in her home and robs her. She calls Ben and demands money from him. Ben asks Beverly to have dinner with him.
Hawk receives another call from the Log Lady, who tells him "Laura is the one."
A group of children discover Miriam crawling from the underbrush.
Becky learns Steven has been cheating on her with Gersten Hayward. She drives to Gersten's apartment and shoots through the door, but the couple are elsewhere. At the diner, Becky's parents, Shelly and Bobby, discuss the incident with her. Red arrives and Shelly leaves to kiss him. A child fires a gun through the diner window, causing a commotion.
While Hawk and Truman study an ancient map, the Log Lady calls Hawk and tells him "There's fire where you are going."
Jerry runs out of the woods and into a clearing.
Sarah Palmer buys alcoholic beverages and cigarettes at a grocery store. She also inquires about an unfamiliar jerky being sold at the store. She warns them of men coming and suffers a breakdown.
Carl Rodd stops a trailer park resident, Kriscol, asking him about his income and gives him $50, saying not to pay his rent for the month.
Hawk goes to Sarah's home. He hears a noise inside, which Sarah dismisses as something in the kitchen. Hawk ensures her that if she needs anything, to call him.
Miriam lays unconscious in a hospital bed at Calhoun Memorial Hospital.
Audrey Horne demands that her husband, Charlie, help her find Billy, her missing lover. He reluctantly phones Tina, and is astonished by what she tells him, but does not tell Audrey what Tina said.
Frank Truman visits Ben Horne to tell him his grandson Richard killed the boy in the hit-and-run, and then attempted to kill the only witness, Miriam. Ben gives Frank the key to Room 315 as a memento for Harry, and agrees to pay Miriam's medical costs.
At the Double R Diner, Shelly gets a phone call from Becky, who says that Steven has been absent for two days and she is worried about him. Shelly invites her daughter to the diner for pie.
Bobby goes to the diner and visits with Ed and Norma. He describes to them that he came across some belongings of his father. Walter Lawford soon shows up to join Norma and Ed and Bobby move to another booth. Walter reports on the franchise progress of the diner, saying that she is selling her pies too cheap, though she disagrees with the franchise stores' practices compared to the flagship store.
At Run Silent, Run Drapes, Nadine is visited by Jacoby after he spotted one of his shovels in the window. He expresses his admiration for the decoration and she praises him and his show. They reflect on their last meeting at a supermarket during a storm.
Sarah watches boxing as she drinks.
A near-hysterical Audrey demands Charlie to tell him what Tina had told him. He tells her to go to the Roadhouse to see if Billy is there, offering to go with her, though she is indecisive and breaks down crying.
At the Roadhouse, an MC introduces James Hurley, who performs "Just You" as a clearly moved Renee watches.
Ed sits alone at Big Ed's Gas Farm.
