The Best Fischl Artifact Set Builds And Bows In ‘Genshin

gambler artifact set genshin impact

gambler artifact set genshin impact - win

A probably good tier list for both F2P, whales, dolphins, and in-between.

I made a tier list based off this post: https://www.reddit.com/Genshin_Impact/comments/l0ac0x/i_hate_tier_lists_but_understand_their_usefulness/
It's a long tier list for the 1.3 update, but I hope it's useful for some of y'all. I assessed the constellation powers of each character based off late-game content and left some additional info below each character's assessment.
SS-Tier being the highest score and C-tier being the lowest.
The order of the weapons and artifact sets are not in any particular tiered order. F2P weapons will always be first in recommendation followed by whatever else fits in the character's build.
Just a disclaimer: tier lists will always be flawed, especially when there are so many opinions and information to go off from. Micromanaging a tier list can be very tedious, it's tough to set an evaluation for a character when you have to compare them to another 20 to see if the tier is valid. So if there's any issues with their tiers, feel free to share your opinion - I'm always keen to re-edit. This was just originally a small fun thing I did after seeing some tier lists online, so I apologise in advanced if any characters aren't in your preferred tier.
I'll be updating this every now and then until the end of 1.3.
Terminology:
DPS: Damage dealer or damage-per-second
Elemental Burst: Ultimate, Q ability, that one big move icon on the screen that requires energy
Elemental skill: Your E ability or that smaller move icon on the screen.
4P or 2P: Four-piece artifact / Two-piece artifact
F2P: Free to Play players, F2P weapon recommendation is listed first.
Cleanse: Removes elemental debuff from ally/allies with their own elemental application. eg. Bennett's burst which applies pyro on yourself and teammates or Diona's shield which applies cryo on self when cast.
Main DPS: The carry who is on the field most of the time and uses supports from the team to dish out damage. All main DPS are viable if you put in enough commitment.
Detonator: Damage dealers who have a high damage output in a short period of time. Previously labelled "Burst" but was changed to a more less confusing label to encompass overall burst damage and elemental bursts. Transformative bursts like Xiao, Razor, and Noelle are not included because of their kits.
Enabler: The support that allows the damage dealers to maximise their damage. This role utilises their kit by buffing, applying extra damage and crowd control, and setting up elemental reactions for overall team damage output potential.
Battery: The energy recharger of the team. Creates energy for the main DPS and supports.
Utility: A broad category that includes healing, cleansing, debuffing, taunting, buffing, and shielding.
Sub DPS: Includes all the battery characters, detonators, and enablers
Support: Includes all the utility characters
S / A: Borderline S-tier and A-tier

- Pyro Ganyu
- Decent pyro application but gets a huge boost in potential damage at C2 with her deployable bunny.
- Low energy burst but the utility of her burst is lackluster compared to other 4 star pyros since it does only damage and constant pyro application for a short period of time until you reach C6. Her deployable elemental skill does, however provide taunt and a considerable amount of energy for her teammates and this enabling and battery potential doubles at C4.
- At C1, her physical damage potential is possible with aim-shot cancelling - similar to Fischl. Very high skill ceiling, but her arrows can hit enemy weak points if you master this approach.
Recommendations:
Main DPS: Prototype Crescent (F2P), Amos Bow, Blackcliff Bow, Sharpshooter with 4P Wanderer's Troupe if charged attack DPS. 2P Crimson Witch + 2P Noblesse / Gladiator / Wanderer's will also work for more flexible builds. Skyward Harp, The Stringless if C2/C4+ with 4P Crimson Witch of Flames. Compound Bow, Amos Bow, Skyward Harp if C1 physical build with 2P Gladiator's Finale/ 2P Bloodstained Chilvalry
Sub DPS: Favonius Warbow (F2P), The Stringless, Skyward Harp with 2P Crimson Witch of Flames + 2P Noblesse Oblige or 4P Noblesse if you want to use her for her burst or if you want to capitalise on her C6. 4P Crimson Witch of Flames if C2+ and detonator.

- 5 Star Husbando
- A great physical DMG DPS considering that he has the highest sword-held basic attack multipliers in the game. A staple for freeze, superconduct, and melt comps. Elemental skill has a relatively short cooldown, good battery, and long range.
- Deployable burst makes him an excellent cryo enabler and battery, however its true potential is locked behind C2. C6 increases his burst damage while also reducing the energy requirement for his burst.
Recommendations:
Main DPS: Prototype Rancour (F2P), Aquila Favonia, The Black Sword, Primodial Jade Cutter, Blackcliff Longsword with 2P Gladiator + 2P Bloodstained Chivalry for flexible physical damage. 4P Blizzard Strayer for freeze comp and additional critical damage.
Sub DPS: Any recharge weapon, Festering Desire (F2P) with 2P Blizzard Strayer + 2P Noblesse / Bloodstained / Gladiator's / Wanderer's or 4P Wanderer's Troupe.

- Strong ara ara energy
- Slow energy recharge and odd play style, her elemental skill cooldown and charge is too long to be capitalised with and also leaves her vulnerable.
- High burst cost for decent damage, second ascension talent allows her burst to reduce enemy DEF. Would be ranked higher in the tiers if her burst didn't push enemies away and had a lower energy cost. Her true potential unlocks at C6 as a detonator as she applies conductive status on surrounding enemies when she switches onto the field. This allows for high electro damage potential with her elemental skill in a small window of time.
Recommendations:
Main DPS: Mappa Mare (F2P), Favonius Codex, The Widsith, Solar Pearl with 4P Thundering Fury or 2P Thundering Fury + 2P Gladiator's Finale or 4P Thundersoother

- Pancake rock maid, literal definition of "one man army".
- Her giant sword knows no limits, except her constellations. C6 increases her damage by a considerable amount and solidifies DEF as her main stat while also increasing the duration of her burst.
- Can't regenerate energy well, but her excellent shield and decent heals make up for that as a support. With her low energy recharge and relatively high energy burst, she requires a team built around her to enable her DPS potential to the fullest.
Recommendations:
Main DPS: Whiteblind or Archaic Petra (F2P) Wolf's Gravestone, Skyward Pride, Serpent Spine with 4P Gladiator's Finale or 4P Retracing Bolide
Support: Whiteblind (F2P) or any recharge weapon with 4P Retracing Bolide or 2P Maiden's Beloved + 2P Defender's. 2P Retracing Bolide's effect doesn't carry its buff to other allies.

- Electro Chunnibyo
- Best electro support in the game at C6, her burst resets the cooldown of Oz. Oz can constantly apply electro on the enemy and allow for many main DPS' to shine. Her second ascension talent is an excellent quirk for potential damage. A staple in electro-charged comps.
- An extremely flexible 4 star unit, can be either a physical main DPS or electro support.
- Her physical damage potential can reach higher with aim-shot cancelling. Very high skill ceiling, but her arrows can hit enemy weak points if you master this approach.
Recommendations:
Main DPS: Compound Bow (F2P), Skyward Harp, Rust, Amos Bow, Viridescent Hunt with 2P Gladiator's Finale + 2P Bloodstained Chivalry or 2P Thundering Fury + 2P Gladiator's / Bloodstained
Sub DPS: Favonius Warbow or Prototype Crescent (F2P), Skyward Harp, The Stringless with 2P Thundering Fury + 2P Gladiator's Finale or 4P Thundersoother. 4P cooldown effect of Thundering Fury does not work unless she's on the field. - Has high healing output and can apply hydro on the enemy with her deployable elemental skill, albeit long cooldown - however, she has no decent support outside of heals except at C2 which gives additional hydro damage to allies with her E and C6 which allows her to ressurect a fallen ally.
- Her basic attacks have good multipliers in comparison to Mona, however the rest of her kit does not align well with the main DPS role.

- Best pyro application in the game with her deployable elemental skill and elemental burst. A staple in melt and vaporise comps and excellent support for a pyro main DPS at C1 and C6. Her second ascension talent drops chillis for additional attack damage.
- A very flexible unit with high attack ratios. Huge enabling potential spike at C4.
Recommendations:

- More like hurricane tortilla
- Big knockback and crowd control with their elemental burst and skill; the con of knockback could be easily thwarted if played around with enough. Elemental burst and skill can be infused with other elements. Long elemental skill cooldown and leaves them vulnerable while charging.
- Being an anemo pushes them higher in the tier as a support with access to 4P Viridescent Veneer. Very large power spike at C6 with its additional shredding capabilities with their elemental burst. This could also allow for other builds other than 4P Viridescent Veneer.

- The alpha chad of 4 star supports
- Elemental burst increases team damage output through the roof and cleanses the team with pyro. Fastest healing tick rate in the game although hampered by a 70% max HP heal limit. Low investment cost since his burst only scales off his base ATK. Elemental skill has a short cooldown and its cooldown is reduced by half in his burst at second ascension talent, making him the GOAT of pyro batteries.
- Main DPS potential is very high without constellations when paired with Chongyun or Xingqiu for melt/vaporise comps. A one man army capable of carrying his own team by himself.
- Bennett's C6 is the only detrimental upgrade out of the lot in this list. The constellation changes all melee damage and cryo/electro infusions into pyro damage when you enter his field. While it may boost his own DPS potential and other pyro damage dealers with its additional pyro DMG bonus, it is not best paired with skills like Chongyun's cryo infusion and Keqing's electro infusion. He also loses main DPS potential when paired with Chongyun as he loses access to melt.

- The better Qiqi + actual furry, ew.
- Excellent support with her shielding, healing, and cleansing capabilities. Her cryo application is alright with her short cooldown elemental skill and her burst which deals continuous cryo damage. Her shield and burst cleanses elements very well.
- While C1 greatly increases her enabling output, her true potential is unlocked at C6, allowing her to give 200 elemental mastery to the team when her burst is out and increases her healing output to a great measurable amount.

- Xinyan mains WYA
- A very expensive 4 star unit, her initial value without constellations is low. Her true potential is unlocked at C2 with her burst giving a guaranteed crit-hit and allows her to recast her shield. C4 is highly recommended to increase her DPS potential.
- Mixed stats are an issue, she may seem like a pyro enabler at first glance but she's more of a physical damage enabler for characters like Razor. Her elemental skill has a long cooldown but it can increase physical damage, cleanse herself with pyro, omit consistent pyro damage (if level 3 shield), and shield her allies.
Recommendations:
Main DPS: Snow-tombed Starsilver, Prototype Archaic (F2P), Wolf's Gravestone, Blackcliff Slasher, Skyward Pride, Serpent Spine, The Unforged with 2P Gladiator's Finale + 2P Bloodstained Chivalry or 4P Gladiator's Finale.

- Queen of Counters
- Although her supporting capabilities are locked behind a high energy costing burst, her elemental skill provides a lot of defensive and offensive options with her short cooldowns. At C6, her enabling potential increases by a lot with her elemental burst.
- Her main DPS potential is locked behind her heavy reliance on being able to counter enemy attacks. Enemy AI can be very random and forces Beidou's DPS at a lower tier than it should be. If her elemental skill could taunt to force enemies to hit her, she would most likely be in a higher tier.

- Hydro swords go brrRR
- Best hydro support in the game, but heavily reliant on energy recharge to cope with his high costing burst. His initial value is great, but his damage and enabling potential goes through the roof at C2. His main DPS potential is also very underrated.
- Although his elemental skill has a long cooldown, it does provide damage reduction, decent hydro application, and a lot of energy.
Recommendations:
Sub DPS: Prototype Rancour or Iron Sting (F2P), Sacrificial Sword, Skyward Pride, any recharge weapon with 4P Noblesse Oblige or 2P Heart of Depth + 2P Noblesse Oblige. - Electro furry bait
- Damage potential is almost comparable to a 5 star's potential. Elemental burst increases his attack speed to a very considerable amount and his character ascension stat allows for additional physical damage. Has in-built energy recharge in his kit to combat his 80 energy burst.
- His true damage potential is locked behind his first 4 constellations which increase his damage output, crit-rate, and decrease enemy DEF. While most of his damage is physical, his electro output is considerably alright.
- However, although his damage potential is high - he is a selfish DPS who needs to take up a lot of field time to maximise his damage. His team should utilise characters with deployables that match his kit such as Qiqi, Diona, Xinyan, and Xingqiu.

- Popsicle boy
- His true utility and enabling potential is locked behind C2 which allows his elemental skill to reduce the cooldowns of elemental skills and bursts cast in his field. Although his elemental skill can be both a blessing and a curse with his cryo infusion, it can also increase weapon attack speed and reduce the cryo resistance of enemies.
- While having the lowest basic attack ratios of all the claymore users, he makes up for it with his kit and constellations. Having a burst with high multipliers, especially at C6, pushes him slightly higher in the list considering the cooldowns and buffs he can give to himself and his teammates. Shorter burst cooldown window from 12 - 10.2 seconds at C2 makes him a very valid 4P Noblesse Oblige user. Currently, there is no 4P artifact set that suits his DPS potential but if a cryo set were to come out that could maximise his melt reaction damage, he would be casted higher in the tier list.

- Anemo wallflower, budget Venti
- Has the highest support ceiling in the game; scales very well late game with an elemental mastery packed build. Capable of crowd controlling enemies, anemo debuffing, and increasing the team's elemental mastery. Her support potential shines at C4 where she can easily obtain her elemental skill with her basic attacks allowing her kit to shine without worry of cooldown. Even with low investment, her support potential still stands out well when paired with Viridescent Veneer.
- Her main DPS potential is incredibly underrated. With her ascension stat being anemo damage and her being a catalyst anemo user, she can become an on-field carry with Fischl, Beidou, and Xingqiu behind her back dealing damage with deployables. C4 and C6 is recommended.

- Missile Launcher, Queen of GEO
- Excellent damage output, greatly increases her DPS potential with every passing constellation. Low energy requirement for burst and a catalyst user that can spam basic attacks. She unlocks her highest damage potential at C6, where her output alone is comparable to Diluc vaporise comps.
- Her damage ceiling stretches further as you learn to mitigate her basic attack animations with her animation-cancelling techniques.
- She is a capable niche support for geo teams being able to buff the team's geo damage with her deployable elemental skill. C2 also pushes her enabling, bursting, and battery potential by increasing her own damage output and provides additional energy to the team with its multiple elemental skill casts.

- CEO of GEO, he died for Geo's sins so they could rise again. The true covenant holder.
- Best shielder in the game, his utility support potential is now comparable to Bennett, Sucrose, and Venti with the new buffs. With his shield being capable of shredding all elemental and physical damage resistances and having 100% uptime potential, he has become viable in all comps and also validates Zhongli's potential as a main DPS. Second ascension talent and shield shred combined doubles his basic attack and elemental skill damage with additional HP% scaling.
- Deployable elemental skill does decent damage, but the energy recharge is random and its area of effect is relatively small. C4 greatly increases his enabling potential by extending the petrification status of enemies and the size of his burst. C6 expands his role as another healer, removing the need for an additional healing support in the team.

- Edgy anemo grasshopper, plunge attack spam is no joke
- With the highest base ATK and his transformative burst, his damage output is considered the highest in the game when considering other units and their solo output. With his burst time and talent passives assessed, his damage potential is slightly higher than Diluc's vaporise comp. However, his overall main DPS potential is limited by his element, lack of team synergy, high energy cost of his burst, and burst downtime. - Who? I only know Childe.
- Although his damage output is hampered by the long cooldown on his elemental skill, his burst potential makes up for it with his elemental skill's passive: Riptide. Each Riptide has an individual elemental reaction proc and damage bursting potential, spreading to other enemies like the plague. Such reaction damage validates electro-charged comps. To maximise his damage potential, he is best paired with C6 Fischl oand C6 Beidou. At C6, his position in the highest tier is certified with the complete removal of his elemental skill cooldown.
- A very expensive unit to build around in comparison to other 5 stars.

- Cryo Bazooka
- The platinum standard for a 5 star character. Theoretically, she has the highest damage output in the game with a melt comp + 4P Wanderer's Troupe. However, being a charged aim shot damage dealer - her skill ceiling is higher than other main DPS'. Her charged attack and frostflake bloom damage is no joke when coupled with her ascension talents which give her additional crit-rate and bonus cryo damage when she's in the vicinity of her burst. Arguably, C1 is one of her best constellations as it reduces cryo resistance and gives her bonus energy.
- Her enabling potential is one of the best in the game, almost too good. When using her elemental burst to apply cryo on the enemy, her ice shards are usually the ones procc-ing the melt damage and not the main DPS. While being an occassional drawback for melt teams, her burst's overwhelming enabling potential with its almost 100% uptime potential is well suited for freeze comps. Her utility potential is greatly increased at C4 as her burst increases the amount of incoming damage enemies take in its field.

- Elevator boi
- A great battery with high enabling potential. His elemental skill lasts 30 seconds on the field and deals AOE geo damage in a wide radius with battery and damage potential being comparable to Fischl's Oz. Being a geo enabler, he also provides shields through crystallise and also increases the team's elemental mastery with his burst at second ascension talent.
- Mixed stats are usually an issue, but going full DEF build to maximise his elemental skill damage is very valid. C2 solidifies DEF as his main stat to build and greatly increases the amount of damage his burst deals. C4 and C6 allow a considerable increase to his utility capabilities with him being a niche pick for plunge attack teams and defensive teams utilising crystallise.

- Hu Tao's best mate, #buffqiqi
- Best healer in the game. However, there is no content in the game that requires the healing that Qiqi provides for her team. While being only a heal bot, she does provide some utility at C4 which allows her to reduce the attack damage of enemies and C6 which allows her to resurrect fallen allies. Although her elemental skill is deployable, the cryo application is slow and is hampered by a very long cooldown.
- Her damage output potential is limited by the large energy requirement of her burst and the lack of energy she creates from her elemental skill. Even though attack is her primary stat, her basic attack multipliers are very subpar in comparison to Kaeya. At C2, she gets a small boost in her basic attack damage output against enemies affected by cryo.

- Dandelion TIGHTS
- Jack of all trades, however master of one role. The flexibility of her unit makes her the platinum standard for supports alongside Venti, Zhongli, and Bennett. Being a healer, cleanser, crowd control check, an anemo debuffer, and a battery - she can fit into any team. With her second talent ascension reducing the amount of energy required for her burst, she's also a decent burst damage dealer. Her enabling potential is pushed higher at C2 where she gives the team additional movement and attack speed when she retrieves an energy orb.
- Her fall damage exploit is no joke. Her charged attack is unique in comparison to other sword users, allowing her to crowd control her enemies into the air and dealing a considerable amount of damage. She's also one of the only physical damage users who can use 4P Bloodstained Chivalry properly. Her main DPS potential is greatly increased at C1, where her short cooldown elemental skill gains additional damage and pulling strength. C4 also shreds anemo resistance off enemies by a considerable amount making her a high tier main DPS and S tier enabler.
Recommendations:
Main DPS: Prototype Rancour or Festering Desire (F2P), Aquila Favonia, Skyward Blade, The Black Sword, Blackcliff Longsword with 4P Gladiator's Finale or 4P Bloodstained Chivalry or 2P Gladiator's / 2P Bloodstained / 2P Viridescent

- Terrorist, Destroyer of Worlds. Dynamite really does come in small packages.
- Her initial value is great as a main DPS, having access to a catalyst and area of effect pyro damage. Her damage ceiling increases as you learn to mitigate her basic attack animations with her animation-cancelling techniques. At C1, she gets a boost in damage potential with her attacks and skills randomly proc-ing additional pyro damage.
- With her deployable elemental skill and multiple charges, she can be an enabler for some vaporise and melt comps. Her enabling and utility potential increases with C2 which allows her to reduce enemy defence by a considerable lot with her elemental skill and C4 which turns her into a detonator when her elemental burst goes off. C6 gives additional energy and pyro damage to her teammates when she uses her burst.

- "Wow, you did 120K damage with your Childe? I can do 800K with my Mona"
- A staple in high DPS damage showcases. Her elemental burst is one of the best in the game - having the ability to multiply damage output by a great amount, crowd control mobs of enemies, apply hydro to a large AOE, and work well in tandem with elemental reaction comps. Not only that, she also receives energy recharge when she ascends, allowing her to spam her burst often. Her deployable elemental skill provides a taunt, a considerable amount of energy, and consistent hydro application, however it does have a long cooldown which hampers on her enabling potential. At C1, the elemental reaction damage output of her burst increases by a considerable amount.
- Her damage potential is considerably DPS friendly. Being a catalyst user, she can constantly apply area of effect hydro damage without being limited by her elemental skills. At C2, her damage potential spikes as she can randomly proc her charged attacks with her basic attack spam. C6 Mona also scales up the damage potential of her charged attack.

- Her charged attack spam is the fastest in the game and deals a very high amount of damage in a short window of time. Gains crit damage as an ascension stat and additional crit rate + energy recharge when using her burst. Having a low energy cost with her burst, she has a very high uptime with her electro damage despite being a physical damage / electro damage hybrid.
- However, being an electro damage dealer does have it's limitations. Electro-related reaction damage doesn't have considerably high multipliers compared to amplification reactions like melt and vaporise. Electro-charged is the best contender for damage over time and should be paired with Xingqiu to maximise her potential.
- Damage output heavily reliant on stamina. Her charged attack energy cost is slightly higher than other sword users.
- C4 and C6 have the greatest impact on her potential damage, increasing her overall electro damage output.

Albedo Build - The Skill-Idiot

This is also know known as the:

Geo-Fischl Build

Japanese Video of the Skill-Idiot Albedo.
Since that's what the youtuber is essentially calling him, we'll just go with that.
Here's the quick TL;DR of the video
In an updated video, he has his stats at:
With the above stats, he is getting (seen in this updated video):
Of course that damage can happen every 2s.
Thankfully the blossoms do not fully consume the elements, so you can use him to supplement damage in any party.
The main focus for this is of course, his Skill.
It is noted that if you use him with Zhongli, only the center of is a construct (can resonate with Zhongli's pillar), but the resonance from both the pillar and the construct can trigger the Albedo's blossoms as well.

Weapon

The new 5-star Sword, as well as the other 5-star swords, are actually terrible for him since none of them boost DEF or his Skill DMG. So they won't be helping his Blossoms. So yay, you can ignore the rare stuff.
Here's a video by Krush SG explaining exactly how much better Harbinger of Dawn is than Festering Desire.
To further add on how much Harbinger of Dawn is over everything else for Albedo, Kleeful's Albedo Albacus (included in the artifact section below) shows in even greater detail just how much better it is.

Artifact Recommendations

Here is a hopefully easy to understand comparison of the main combinations of Artifact sets used on Albedo
Forgot to add the note that the calculator was set for 3 Fatal Blossom hits on the Q, meaning you got lucky and essentially are doing the most with your Q. Instead of just the 1 guaranteed or the more often than not 2 blossom (I forgot to change it to 2, which I normally would do as that would be the average.... ah well).
It is also only set to 5 Transient Blossoms from his E. Given that you can do more than that (and less) depending on positioning and making sure you trigger them as fast as possible, you can technically get up to 15..... So that number for the E could almost triple in an ideal situation. Further pushing up how good the Defender build is.....
Here is an extra on why it is better to have Crit Stats on your Circlet over DEF%. Just a simple comparison.
Will possibly add another chart later with crit stat variances in substats, but that's a lot of extra work and only really needed to see how much better or where the breaking point would be between crit stats and DEF% in the substats. Since in general, just adding the same crit stats to any of the previous set combinations with those DEF% values will affect the numbers in the same way.
As of note, getting 60-80% DEF in just Substats alone is about 2-3 rolls towards DEF% on a stat that was there from the start (meaning a 5-star with 4 substats at +0 or a 4-star with 4 substats at +4). Depending on the rarity, you can get 3-5 substat rolls onto those base 4. So this is achievable along with still getting 2-3 substats towards crit stats. So the numbers shouldn't be unreasonable. On top of which, this is assuming you got the average in the roll (since rolls are variable in how much the roll is worth. See the wiki for more on that if you didn't know).
Of course these are endgame comparisons, as Albedo, the Harbinger of Dawn and the artifacts are maxed out. So do keep that in mind. Play with the following if you want to tweak the stats to exactly what you personally have if you would like.....
And here is Kleeful's Albedo Albacus used to make this shiny chart (saved me from doing all the math, which I admitadly already was halfway done with myself than found this..... so scrapped all that work and made my life easier. Thanks Kleeful (I mean it....).
  • 4-piece Archaic Petra: This allows him for a full use of a 5-star set for those extra stat rolls. Geo DMG boost that helps him. As well as the occasional "Oh, I see a crystal of my carries element", swap to Albedo, grab it for the boost, then swap back. The damage from Albedo himself is the weakest of the combinations, but not by much and it can provide a good boost to your carry if you use it well. This set should only be used if your Carry is of the Pyro/Electro/Hydro/Cryo variety, as they are the only ones that can benefit from the Petra's bonus.
  • 2-piece Archaic Petra with 2-piece Defender's Will. This set allows for the hardest hitting E's. It may force you to have two 4-star artifacts (preferably in the Flower and Feather slots, so as not to affect his E's damage), but it will probably be the favored set by most. This set should generally be taken by those with a Geo or Anemo Carry (or by players that don't want to have to think about making Albedo pick up crystals).
Because this is the Skill-Idiot build, no other sets really need be considered. Noblesse is nice for his burst, but it doesn't help his blossoms at all. Unless your rolls are perfect to take advantage of having 2 more on each of those 5-stars (that defenders was forced to be 4-star on), the damage difference might not make up enough.
Plus, again, this guide is an E focused build. But it's nice to see the comparison.....
For main stats, you want: DEF% / Geo% / Crit Stats (whichever is needed more).
On Substats, go for: Crit Stats > DEF% > Flat DEF.
If you are making him a BurstBot, Krush SG on youtube has tested and Noblesse does boost his Q's extra blossom's damage, so that is an option as well if you decide to do a different build and focus on that. This option pulls away from either support from a full Petra or takes away from a bonus that would further boost his E. With this build you also are not focusing on ATK stats, so this boost to his Q through Noblesse will not be as big as with other characters.
Added Bonus: With math done in another thread, we find that Defender's vs Gambler's 2-piece is almost exactly the same, leading only to generally a 1% difference in Defender's favor (I honestly thought it would be neck and neck with Gambler's ahead by a little, but ah well). So for E, it doesn't matter which you use. However if you have his c2, then Defender's wins by a long shot, as it affects his Q, while Gambler's does not.

Constellations

You don't need them at all for the Skill-Idiot build, but here are the thoughts on them anyway.
  • c1 isn't worth much in this build by itself.
  • c2 is probably his best constellation and gives meaning to his c1 , boo, see note below.....
  • c3 is really nice to further boost your Blossom's power
  • c6 is nice, but not worth it.
Didn't really have comments on c4, which does nothing for this build.
Or c5, which is a pure Burst boost, so again, nothing for this build.
In other words, if you're going for Constellations: c3 > c6 > c2 and the other's are not worth thinking about.

NOTE, it seems his c2 is just worded stupidly poorly and it only affects his Q. IT DOES NOTHING FOR HIS E.

So now it is worth as much to this build as c1 is..... not a lot. c1 and c2 do work well together and with the DEF, again it will help since you will pop out some Q's, but that's not the main focus of this build.
Further note from testing his c1. From what I can tell, it does not generate energy unless Albedo is on the field. Thus this is purely a carry constellation and will have no benefit to this build.
Further note on the further note....., I have been getting mixed notes on the c1. Some have agreed that it doesn't work off field and a couple have said that it does. I guess it needs further testing. For now though, I'm going to play it safe in saying that it doesn't. Since if it does, that's always a good thing, but it would be terrible to say it does work when it doesn't, only to let one down....
Personally, I feel that
  • If you're at c0, it's not worth rolling for c1, as it won't help this build.
  • If you're at c1 already, roll for c2 so that his Q does better damage with this DEF build.
  • If you're at c2 and really want to maximize his E, roll for that c3. It is, in my opinion his best constellation for this build.
  • If you're at c3, it's not worth rolling more, as the next two constellations are just.... eh.......
  • If for some silly reason you're at c5, definitely just finish him off for that c6 as 17% DMG boost is reaaaally nice and super easy to maintain shields for the boost because of his E. But this is super whale territory. Though if again, you're already got him to c5, you're almost there, so just finish it.......
Thankfully, in general, Albedo doesn't need his constellations. Especially for an E build.

Talent Order

Being a Skill-Idiot build:
  • E is obviously most important. It's what makes Albedo who he is.
  • Q is there more as a just because, if he's doing any damage himself, this is where it's from.
  • Normals/Charged doesn't really need to be leveled at all, you're not using his attacks in this build and they're just okay. He can do normal>charged>walk cancel if you were to make him a carry for some reason. But again, that's not for this build.
There we go, hope that helps some people with their Albedo Skill-Idiot Builds.

He's essentially a Geo Fischl without offensive reactions.

In terms of how he works and how one would normally use him.
Of course if you want to make him a Burst-Bot or turn him into a Carry, those are other build options as well, just not really covered here.

Do note that his E construct doesn't work in the same places as any other character's construct.

Such as GeoMC's Meteors, Ningguang's Screens and Zhongli's Pillars.
This makes this style of build for Albedo kind of worthless on these bosses.
Guessing that miHoYo was afraid that people would mess up the A.I. of the boss with odd placements.
So Oceanid is right out. Childe can instant break it, but you can play it right by summoning it far enough away so that the boss is right at the edge to make use of it a little. Same can be done on some of the other ones too.
Just note that this is this build's second biggest weakness.

With the biggest weakness for this build being that he cannot use his blossoms to break shields.

This is odd for a Geo character, which are know for being able to do so....
But you should have 3 other party members who can break shields, so that shouldn't be a problem in the end (hopefully).
Extra note, the Monster Hunter Math Guys (Jinx and Tuner) have found that:
  • Albedo's Energy Particle Generation is random. They only did a bit over a half an hour of testing yesterday on it, but just like with Zhongli, it is inconsistant. Super sad on that part.
  • The extra blossoms on his Q cast are can also be random (see new note below). You can at most hit 2-3 of those extra hits on a single enemy (and that's talking large enemies like Ruin Guards). So NO, you will not be getting all 7 hits on the enemy and more than likely, even on large enemies, you'll only get one extra blossom to hit. The 2-3 is if you're really lucky. This makes these extra blossoms only amazing if there is a large group of spread out enemies, so that each blossom has a chance to hit something.
They liked to comment that Albedo is a gacha filled character (calling the random things he does that). Gacha particle generation and Gacha bonus damage on Q.
They are going to be doing extra testing on him though to see if they an find anything they missed. However they did have some instances where they only got one particle in 10s, which is terrible. To sometimes having 4 particles in 10s, which is great. But because again it is so random, it's hard to plan on it.
Update on MHMG's thoughts on Albedo: In their final conclusion (above is their initial thoughts), they think that he's a really good support and probably the most "balanced 5-star" in the game. Not doing anything amazing, but not doing anything to terrible either. They still think his energy generation is pretty bad (60% chance or so to get a particle on a blossom), but the damage he offers makes up for that. That and he can easily be slotted into any team. They do not think he is a "must pull" character because of that (which they only deem towards characters like Venti and Diluc for 5-stars). But again, they do think he is a good character none the less.
New Note: As shown by redditor CCCchryse in their thread here, ONE fatal blossom is targeted on an enemy. Meaning if there are 7 enemies, every single one of the Fatal Blossoms will hit something guaranteed. It is when there are less enemies, especially 1 or 2, that you start getting RNG. So against one enemy, 1 will guarantee to hit and the other 6 then become random.
This also means that Venti (and to a lesser extent Sucrose and the AnemoMC) is great for gathering enemies in one spot, then casting his burst so that all those AoE Fatal Blossoms bloom in the same area to maximize his damage.
Extra extra note.
From the above, I highly agree with the redditior CCCchryse, who mentions that Ningguang is amazing with him.
  • Ningguang as the main carry, she a single target DPS queen.
  • Albedo offers her much wanted AoE to everything she does with his E.
  • Albedo's Q we now know helps clear groups. (More so if you have c2 with this build, since you'll have a DEF focus.)
  • Ningguang is essentially already self sufficient in her Energy Generation, meaning you don't have to worry about the randomness in Albedo's Particles. They'll be more of a bonus instead of trying to plan around it.
  • Geo Resonance of course (when 1.3 eventually comes, this will be extra nice).
Extra extra extra note (wooo.... how many more of these will there be?).
Interresting thing to note on his E.

Albedo's E snapshots stats on cast.

This was first found out with the Harbinger of Dawn. If he casts E while above 90% HP, the E has the boosted Crit Rate. And if he takes damage to below that while his E is still up, it still has said Crit Rate. Giving you time to heal yourself up before you cast E again. Vice versa, if you are below 90%, cast E and then heal up above it, the E will still not have the crit rate boost.
This however does not work for the Geo Resonance boost. It is the only thing that sadly does not snapshot....
Of course, make sure you're topped up on HP before casting E if you're using Harbinger of Dawn.

Quick TL;DR dps guide/build for Childe

Quick TL;DR dps guide/build for Childe

The "Quick TL;DR" guide series:

Albedo Amber Barbara Beidou Bennett Childe Chongyun Diluc
Diona Fischl Ganyu Jean Kaeya Keqing Klee Lisa
Mona Ningguang Noelle Qiqi Razor Sucrose Traveler (Anemo) Traveler (Geo)
Venti Xiangling Xiao Xingqiu Xinyan Zhongli
I'll get straight into it. (Sorry it's a bit long. He has A TON of stuff and I tried to break it down as best as possible) (Updated for 1.2!)
For a more detailed version of this guide, check it out here!

PSA from OP: Huge thanks to my testers + people who volunteered to test Childe for me. You saved my wallet and a lot of time due to quick responses! Also Diona will be coming out in 1-2 days -- she's weird to build so just needs more testing

PSA #1: A DPS is that friend who last hits all the kills and looks cool in video games, even though the team did all the work. Be that guy if you want to be a cool DPS

PSA #2: Both Childe's abilities scale off ATK. Tartaglia... who the hell names their child that? Slap on some ATK if you want your hydro master-at-arms to do some serious damage.

Riptide is bread and butter of his kit. Can be applied with a charged bow shot or hitting enemies in melee form
IMPORTANT TIP: 2 Different things can happen when Riptide is applied to an enemy
  1. Riptide Flash - Hitting a charged bow shot will proc Riptide and deal 3 ticks of hydro DMG
  2. Riptide Burst - Killing an enemy will deal AoE hydro DMG. Applies Riptide to nearby foes
Literally a hydro Taskmaster

PSA #3: Buckle up, there's a lot to digest for E (send help)

  1. Turns Childe from range to melee form
  2. Does hydro DMG instead of physical DMG
  3. Hitting E again will return you back to range form AND WILL PUT E ON CD
  4. E CD is based on how long you were in melee form.
  • Every 5s in E = Roughly 6-7s added to CD
  • WAITING OUT THE WHOLE 30 SEC PUNISHES YOU AND MAKES IT 45 SEC CD (DO NOT DO THIS)
Hitting enemies that have Riptide applied in melee form does AoE Hydro DMG
Use E only in burst situations (for reaction proc'ing), breaking shields, or when your Q is almost ready. Otherwise, you're wasting CD time (literally)

Hit CRIT in melee form = applies Riptide
Boy oh boy, this thing stupid broke

PSA #4: Q has 3 important facts (help me pls... my brain D: )

  1. Using in range form does a massive AoE Hydro DMG, knocks enemies up, applies Riptide, and returns 20 energy
  2. Using in melee form does a swing that does AoE Hydro DMG, knocks enemies back, and proc's Riptide Blast
  3. Riptide Blast - Enemies with Riptide applied will take massive AoE Hydro DMG
9 TIMES OUT OF 10, WE HAVE FOUND MELEE FORM Q TO BE MUCH BETTER FOR BOTH DAMAGE, CC, AND BREAKING SHIELDS IN ABYSS
Makes Riptide last longer
A walking talent book. Makes Normal Attack talent up one level for all party members (including himself)

WEAPON #1 (Recommended for Super Soaker 9000): Rust

How do I get it D: ? - It's time to roll boys (gacha)
Has base ATK scaling and weapon skill applies really well to melee form
Rust will do much better at early stages when you lack high CRIT DMG values. Skyward Harp (even when compared against high refined Rust) will outperform otherwise.
Viridescent Hunt is also extremely nice, as the weapon skill proc's in melee form + synergizes well with Riptide
When Alley Hunter comes out, it will be a contender

WEAPON #2 (Recommended for early wet towel slaps): Raven Bow

How do I get it D: ? - It's time to roll boys (gacha)
Has base Elemental Mastery scaling and basically a free damage buff
Funny enough, this thing actually slaps really hard early. Can be replaced with Compound Bow or even Slingshot until you get Weapon #1 rolls (you don't get the benefit from Slingshot)

ARTIFACT #1 (Recommended for big boy DPS): Ocean Conqueror

How do I get it D: ? - Peak of Vindagnyr Domain (AR 30 locked, 20 Resin per run)
Boosts everything + even further enhances E DPS (better than Bolide)

ARTIFACT #2 (Recommended for early smack): Gladiators + Gamblers

How do I get it D: ? - Gladiators at any World Boss (40 Resin per run). Gamblers at Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern Domain (AR 35 locked, 20 Resin per run)
ATK is poggers
By the way: 4-set Gamblers feels extremely good early, sucks A TON late
You can also run Wanderer's Troupe later on for crazy CRIT charged attack numbers (assuming you have the appropriate CRIT stats). Subsequently, early you can also just stack 2-set any 18% ATK+ sets or pair with 2-set Berserker if you're struggling to hit 50% CRIT%

PSA #5: Here is the consensus after testing for 5-6 hours last night - Childe performs much better as a sub DPS/burst DPS UNTIL you get C6 (or even C1). His E CD is just a pain to deal with, and you will get more consistent damage from previous DPS picks. When we (testers) were able to manage E CD's well, Abyss 12 was a joke. When they didn't (let the CD near max), Abyss 8 felt like hell

Main stats:
Sands Goblet Circlet
ATK% Hydro DMG% CRIT% or CRIT DMG
Substats: CRIT% > CRIT DMG > ATK > EM
If you want other characters let me know. Hope this helped. Bye.
Edit: Changed how Riptide proc's because I misread it because I have 2 working braincells right now LOL. Added clarification on how Stringless impacts E and Q. Updated for 1.2!

Albedo In-Depth Character Guide | 5* Geo Support

Hey everyone, here is my in-depth Character Build Guide for Albedo!
Here is a Video version of this guide.

Disclaimer: Yes, EVERY. SINGLE. CHARACTER. in this game is amazing, especially at high level, using decent artifacts and a good weapon. That is the essence behind all of our character guides, which have the sole purpose of showcasing all characters potential! All content in this game can be cleared using F2P Characters with 0 Primogems or Money investment, so, yes, you can play literally any character you like and do well!
Albedo is probably patch 1.2's biggest surprise after Rosaria's thighs, and I've been nothing but happy with his performance and playstyle since pulling him. Additionally, his banner has 3 of the best support characters in the game right now, making it one of the most worthwhile banners we have seen so far.
In this guide, I go over Albedo's Kit and how to use it efficiently. I will also explain the different Stat Priorities you should be focusing on his gear and go over his best Weapon Choices as well as Artifact Sets. Lastly, I will give a few Gameplay and Teamcomp Tips!
Abilities
Constellations
My Albedo is at C0 and functions perfectly well, but it is important to note that he gets a huge power spike if you manage to get C2 on him, which is probably his best constellation.
Stat Priority
As far as what stats you should focus on your gear, it will depend on if you want to focus on the damage of your Skill, or your Burst. Personally, I use:
The extra damage triggered by his Skill scales off of Defense, and is his most consistent source of damage, so Defense is good very on him, but it doesn't boost the initial damage of his skill, nor does it boost his Ult. For that reason, I have found that Crit DMG, which boosts the damage of all his abilities, can provide more benefits than Def% on the Circlet when using his Ult on Cooldown, and hitting more than 1-2 enemy consistently with it, but in any case, both are perfectly viable options, and I find myself alternating between both items in different Abyss levels at times. EXCEPTION to this is if you have C2.
Tests
For reference, here are my dmg stats (without any buffs, in the open world on hilichurls) when it comes to damage with different items:
Skill DMG with Crit DMG Circlet: 3042 / 9724
Skill DMG with Def Circlet: 3934 / 10650
Ult DMG with Crit DMG Circlet: 6696 / 21406
Ult DMG with Def Circlet: 6351 /17145
Weapons
1. Refinement 5 Harbringer of Dawn, has proven the most valuable option in my case since my gear did not roll with a lot of crit rate (but rolled a ton of crit dmg). It provides a lot of crit damage, which is amazing for all of Albedo's abilities, as well as will provide him 28% Crit Rate as long as he stays above 90%, which is not too hard to do once you start getting shields and with a decent healer. The only downfall of this weapon is that its a 3 star, and has much lower Base ATK, but, Base ATK does not affect his Passive Isotoma Damage at all, which makes it a worthwhile tradeoff for all the damaged gained from how much Crit and Crit DMG you get from a single item.
2. Festering Desire is another absolutely amazing option on him, and easily obtainable for F2P. Even though the energy recharge is not always optimal since his energy cost is so low already, the effect will boost your Skill's damage significantly. Sadly, this doesn't work on his Ult but the higher Base ATK of the weapon helps a bit in that aspect.
3. While these 2 weapons seem to place the highest in most theory crafting, there are also plenty of other options that will work just fine as well, such as Skyward Blade, Black Sword, Blackcliff and Summit Shaper.

Childe / Tartaglia Carry DPS Character Guide

Hey everyone, I wanted to make a more in-depth post about the newest 5 Star, Childe / Tartaglia, as it seems to be a very controversial topic whether he is good or not.
I will be working on a more in-depth version of this guide in Video format, but here is a highlight videos showcasing his power until then!
Find all my updated Character guides here: Reddit: Childe | Bennett | Fischl | Jean | Barbara Videos: Childe | Bennett | Fischl | Jean | Barbara
So my first impression is that he is an absolutely amazing Carry Character, probably on par with Diluc, Klee and Keqing. Another point about Tartaglia is that his scaling seems very exponential. He might seem underwhelming at first, but once you min/max his stats and get him to a nice Crit/Crit Damage Ratio with a lot of Hydro Damage (lvl 80 Weapon, lvl 20 5 Star Artifacts, Lvl 6+ Talents) he starts becoming an insane DPS machine, but I do think he will be more whale-friendly than F2P friendly, as a weapon like Skyward Harp really takes him over the edge.
Note that this is taking into account Childe as a main DPS. There are possible builds with more Energy Recharge and Elemental Mastery that would be using him more as a Ult Spam / Vaporize Secondary DPS that could also work very well.

Abilities

Constellations

Stat Priority

Weapons

  1. Skyward Harp is by far his Best In Slot, providing him Crit Rate, Crit Damage and the passive works in both ranged and melee form. Its no wonder that it is available in the weapon Gacha right now.
  2. Rust might be his second best weapon, due to the passive giving him Normal Attack damage which works with his Melee form, though, it also reduces Aimed Shot damage, which is actually a big part of Childe's kit as opposed to most other archers. Sadly, it gives ATK instead of Crit/Crit DMG but that is still a great stat for him. The passive on Rust is absolutely amazing, especially if you have refinement levels, but sadly this wont apply to his Ult nor his Aimed Shots so it has some drawbacks.
  3. Amos Bow is very close to Rust for being second best, simply because its a 5 star, and will have much higher Base Damage late game which scales better than any other stat in the game. The passive is also amazing, and works very well with both his Melee and his Aimed Shot Ranged stances. It also has ATK which is, again, not the best, but still good.
  4. The Viridescent Hunt, the BP weapon, is another incredible weapon for him. It seems like the passive effect also works in Melee, and as it gives Crit, it allows him to scale very well late game (and possibly run Crit Dmg on the headpiece)
  5. Royal Bow and Blackcliff Bow are good options as well, can be bought from the Starglitter Shop and do provide with great Stats, Crit Chance and Crit Damage.
  6. Most other bows don't seem to work super well with him, Compound Bow is quite bad as he doesnt do much Physical Damage at all, Stringless doesn't seem to apply to his melee attacks, Sacrificial bow doesn't work on his E cooldown, and most other just lack the damage bonuses, though some might build him more as a support and use them okay, it will definitely not be as good.

Artifacts

  1. 2-Piece Noblesse Oblige and 2-Piece Gladiator seems to be the best combination, boosting both his Atk stat and his Ult damage which is a huge part of his damage. Until we get the Water Damage Set, this is probably going to be the best option for 5 Stars.
  2. 4 Piece Gambler seems to be a very powerful option as it does reset his Skill cooldown, but the fact that there are no 5 star version will result in a big loss of dps
  3. Wandering Troupe is another option that can be very good, but the 4-Piece doesn't work well in his Melee Stance and to get the max value from the 2-Piece, it requires him to have access to a lot of elemental combos, which is hard to manage with his Stance Shuffling.
  4. There doesnt seem to be many other options for him sadly, as most items dont work well on him due to being a Bow User. Martial Artist and Berserker would be great, if they had 5 Star versions.

Team comps and Tips

  1. Starting the fight in Ranged Mode, Cast Aimed Shots at enemies and pick off the weak ones if possible to spread the Riptide.
  2. Switch to other Characters and use their abilities
  3. Cast his ult in Ranged form to trigger great damage (Especially Vaporize) and apply riptide to everyone
  4. Can switch to other characters again to regen more Ult Energy and prepare more combos, or simply go right into Melee Stance (you will have a lot of your ult recharged already) and hit them until you can ult Again. With effects such as Xiangling's Goaba or Ult, you might be able to proc Vaporize here again with the ult which is going to be optimal.
Let me know what you think of Childe so far and what combos you think are best for him in the comments as I am eager to learn more! -Xoraz Youtube.com/NotCasuals

Basic Albedo Support Build Guide

TL;DR Build, details below
For low investment:
For high investment:
Intro
Choosing to build Atk % or Def %
Weapons
  • Harbinger of Dawn R5
    • Pretty much the best sword as long as you can keep hp above 90% which should be easy for Albedo since you don't stay on the battlefield for long.
    • Cheap to invest in, easy to get/refine, easily thrown away if an alternative is found.
    • This is the best starter weapon and can be kept even at full build. It will out damage everything most of the time for most people.
  • Any 5* Sword
    • Can perform better than Harbinger but probably better off used on your carry
    • Easier to use compared to HoD, no hp requirement
    • Summit Shaper > Aquila Favonia because physical damage is irrelevant.
  • Black Cliff, Black Sword
    • Worse than HoD but doesn't come with an hp requirement
    • Used mainly for crit substats
    • Black Cliff > Black sword because you don't auto.
  • Festering Desire R5
    • Basically the equivalent of Harbinger for situations where you can't keep your hp above 90%. It will always perform slightly worse than 90%+ hp Harbinger but significantly better than Harbinger under 90% hp.
    • This is a free sword that comes with max refine and bonus xp so it might be easier to level than the alternatives.
    • This is the weakest sword on the list but it is stronger than anything not on the list
Talents
  • E > Q >> AA
    • Don't level AA unless you have nothing better to do, support Albedo will pretty much never auto
    • With a pure Def % build you can somewhat ignore leveling Q
    • For a pure Atk % build, focus on leveling Q but still put some points into E. The low cooldown and decent Atk % scaling still make it very useful
Artifact Main Stats
  • Atk%/Def% Hourglass
    • This is widely debated but def % is better at lower investments while atk % only shines once all gear approaches max level.
    • Def benefits E damage, basically turning Albedo into Xingqiu
    • Atk benefits Q damage, letting you use it like people use Zhongli meteor
  • Geo Damage Goblet
    • Geo % goblet will almost always out damage Def % goblet
  • Crit Rate/Crit Damage Helmet
    • Crit benefits both attack and defense builds, making it the strongest stat
    • Try to keep crit rate and crit damage in 1:2 ratio
Artifact Sets
  • 4-piece Noblesse Oblige
    • Most useful if you don't already have a better 4-piece NO user on your team
  • 4-piece Archaic Petra
    • Conditionally better than NO, providing the main dps with a stronger damage amp but not affecting the rest of your team
  • 2-piece Petra + 2-piece Filler
    • Used for the geo damage amp. It is more important to get good main stats than a good set bonus so sitting on 2-piece petra for awhile is fine.
    • When using a set that doesn't have 5* pieces, picking feather and flower pieces are preferable because they have less impact on your overall damage.
  • Filler set bonuses
    • Noblesse Oblige
      • Increases Ult damage for use with Atk % build
    • Gladiator
      • Same as Noblesse but weaker
    • Defender
      • Increases E damage for use with Def % build
    • Gambler
      • Same as Defender but weaker
    • Berserker
      • Boosts damage on everything

Klee - Weapons, Artifacts and Gushing about the Explosion Loli

Klee - The Innocent Terrorist

(She really doesn't know any better and just wants to make people happy... with explosions.....)

Klee has ridiculous damage and insane AoE. Her Ult is deceptively powerful, but she is a carry only because of it. As swapping her out early ends the ult without any refund of energy. Only if you raise her with a high constellation, will swapping her out during her ult result in a large explosion, making it worth doing so before it ends.
Klee is even more powerful with Venti, as his black hole can suck in all the mines (she makes 8 per bomb and can toss out two before it goes on CD) into one big fiery explosion. In the current version of the game, Venti's abilities sadly no longer work with Klee's mines like they did in CBT. His abilities don't even work with Xiangling's Gouba. IT HAS SADLY BEEN CONFIRMED by miHoYo customer service that this is not a bug. Whether or not it is changed in the future, only miHoYo knows. For now Venti is the ONLY Anemo character that cannot interact with pets/bombs with both his E and Q....
Every normal attack and skill usage has chances to generate a spark, which increase her already really powerful charged attack by 50%, but also reduce the stamina cost to zero. NOTE that when swapping out Klee, she keeps her stored spark for the next time she pops out. The spark can be seen as a little bright yellow flower that floats by her. Catalyst users are already known for dealing little damage with their normals (mainly used for element applications), but having really high modifiers on their charged attacks. This spark system of Klee's further boosts this deadly potential.
To add, she's incredible with crit builds on top of that as every crit she does with her charged attacks, all party members will gain 2 elemental energy. Making her a great battery for the party and allowing for even more ultimate's. Sadly hitting multiple enemies doesn't generate more energy though. However this extra energy boost can of course be further augmented like any other energy source, by the individual character's Energy Recharge stat if they have it.
Final extra note is that not only are her normal attacks almost twice as hard hitting as the other catalyst users in exchange for their unique attack pattern, they also deal (really small) AoE damage similar to Ningguang's c1 and can damage Geo structures/shields/mines. Much like a Geo user (like Ningguang), despite being a catalyst user because of her explosive effect added to her normal and charged attacks.
Klee is quite ridiculously good if you play her right.
And I didn't even cover constellations which make her even better (as one would need to whale for that). But if one must know all the little details...
I'm going to gush about Klee for those that don't mind:
And constellations for when whaling.
Alright, now you know all there is to know how Klee works.
<> Lots of AoE. Mainly from her E, which while has a long CD, is wide spread and the mines it lays last a long time, hit for good damage and also have their own small AoE's. Both her Charged attacks and the attacks from her Burst offer small AoE radius hits on each hit.
<> Normal attacks that can damage Geo Structures/Shields/Mining, similar to the Geo Element users (like Ningguang) despite being a catalyst user because of their explosive effect.
<> Hard hitting Charged Attacks with a special Spark System. Your main bread and butter of her hit. You'll want to be weaving these in between every normal and skill use.
<> Selfish style Elemental Burst that puts her in the Carry role in a party. With a surprisingly shorter CD than her skill at only 15s, it lasts 10s and has a low energy cost of 60.
<> Ridiculously packed constellation abilities for whales.
<> Unlike Diluc who is more of a Burst character and becomes a better Carry as he gets constellations, Klee is the opposite. Filling the Carry role first and foremost and upon obtaining her constellations, specifically her c4, she becomes a continuous tactical nuke. Thus allowing her to be a Burst/Enabler at that point with her nuke and mines. Further allowed to Enable strongly if you make it to c6, which boosts any Pyro users in the party and if Klee is left out instead of Nuking with her Burst, she helps generate more energy for her other party members. Her c2 helps everyone including herself, though you can only throw out so many mines because of the long CD, this is more seen as use for herself until you have the c4, in which it also turns into an Enabling tool.

With all that, let's talk about what we should use on her.

Starting with Catalysts.

NOTE that these are my own opinions and are listed in the order I think is more potent. The order of which is better however will change depending on the stats you get on your artifacts, as it is best to find complementing sets. Klee, being a catalyst user has many options for Weapons and Artifacts to choose from.
  1. Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds: This is your number one choice and the Devs know it. Putting it on the weapon banner that'll be out with her own. This offers the second highest base ATK of 46 along with the best secondary stat, Crit Rate. The permanent +10% move SPD is a nice little bonus to help the loli get her movement speed back up despite her stature. The biggest bonus is the +8% Element DMG boost every 4s that stacks 4 times. The thing about this weapon is that while it says in combat, it seems to count its ticks whether or not you're in combat, she just needs to be on the field. Allowing for essentially a permanent +32% Element DMG at all times (unless you swap her out which resets the counter). Anyone should be able to see how amazing this is on her. Lost Prayer excels in the world map and quick fights, being able to keep its multiplier at max. However if the Crit Rate isn't needed (though we all love Crit Rate builds), since swapping resets the bonus elemental damage, the Skyward Atlas may be more for your style. Not only is this powerful solo, this is by far the best Catalyst if playing co-op, where you may not even have another character to swap to, thus always maintaining the highest bonus. Even if you are not getting full stacks because of swapping, you'll generally always have one stack at least and the weapon has 5-star base attack along with the highest Crit Rate boost out of any catalyst that is always in effect. This being that right when you swap, you will normally need to move a moment, position or anything else of that ilk, so at most a single normal will not have a charge on it. Only if you're reaaaally fast in spamming your normal with an animation cancel will you get two attacks out before the first charge pops up on Klee. Normal into a Charged right after a swap will always have at least one buff on that Charged attack.
  2. Skyward Atlas: Also very good, with the highest base ATK of any catalyst at 48 (note that each point essentially is another 34 ATK at lvl 90) and on top of that it's secondary further boosts ATK, allows this catalyst to really bump up the base damage output of everything she does without the need for crits. It also permanently boosts Elemental DMG by 12%. The bonus ability on it is a high damaging summon that can only occur once every 30s, so don't count on it, but it is nice when it happens. If you end up swapping Klee out for elemental reactions and don't need the Crit Rate from Lost Prayer, this will be ranked higher, as it does not need to have a slight build up in its damage boost. This is your strongest stat stick for ATK. Do note that if you have good rolls (enough Crit) from your artifacts, then Skyward Atlas is the best weapon for Klee (or any catalyst user) because of just how stupid high the damage is on it. Lost Prayer's is generally ranked higher because people have terrible luck, so having that guaranteed Crit Rate is just soooooo nice.
  3. Solar Pearl: Easy to get, being a battle pass choice, however as good as it is, the Lost Prayer is essentially a direct upgrade to this. Given that you can only get one copy and only 1 of all the BP weapons and the fact that this weapon has a direct upgrade. I rank it a bit lower. It is a great catalyst to have with boosts that require you to rotate what you're doing and gives crit rate with its secondary stats. You will not have all the buffs up all the time though and will need to time/plan your actions more when using this. Personally I would go with the Black Sword, which has no equal for your BP choice, as no 5-star sword offers crit rate as a secondary stat as well as its unique vampirism ability... Do note that the Solar Pear DOES NOT boost charged attacks. It only boosts normal ones. So you'll only really be using part of its ability in boosting her Skill and Burst, as Normals are only there for getting Sparks to do Charged attacks. I do not mean to bash the Solar Pearl and again believe it is the best 4-star catalyst and being on the BP, incredibility accessible. I just tend to look at the fact that it is this or the Black Sword, along with the fact that Lost Prayer exists, that leads me to rank it lower. A big bonus note though, the extra damage death through her c1, for some reason, registers as an Elemental Burst attack for the Solar Pearl (tested by another redditor, I do not have a Solar Pearl to test this myself). Meaning that the Normal DMG boost actually has an almost 100% up time. Making the weapon better than it seems for Klee.
  4. The Widsith: Mainly taken for its Crit DMG boost for a secondary stat. Any of the 3 random effects that it can give are very powerful. The effects however last only a short while, has a long CD and requires swapping to activate. But it is still a favored catalyst for that Crit DMG when you already have Crit Rate from other sources. Out of the 4-stars, this gives the highest boosts, but requires swapping every 30s for that random 10s buff. When it works, it is absolutely amazing. With two of the effects being the best (as EM is generally the least favorite of the 3 effects), you have a decent chance of getting something that boosts you greatly for 10s. But again, you're then left for 20s of no buffs and the req of swapping out and back to get a new buff later.
  5. Blackcliff Amulet: This offers the same Crit DMG and ATK as The Widsith. However instead of having a random super buff skill that can be triggered at will (thus can be used on bosses), the Blackcliff series requires kills. Because of that it is rated a little lower but they should be the same. The Widsith's boosts are high, but limited to 10s and requires swapping, while the Blackcliff's last a really nice 30s, but require 3 mobs kills for full potential. With 3 in the shop, you can easily have a Rank 3 Blackcliff weapon, which offers a large 18% ATK boost on every kill for 30s (individual timer for up to 3 stacks), allowing for a large 54% ATK. I would say for running around the overworld and specific domains, this is probably even better than the Widsith. The Widsith however edges out just because it can always be obtained in the gacha, can be used in any situation and the buff is large (even if you get a buff you don't really need on Klee... looking at you EM buff, still nice, but not what any Klee user wanted).
  6. Royal Grimoire: High base damage for a 4-star with a further boosted base ATK. It offers a scaling Crit Rate boost that builds up per hit. Klee is not the fastest attacker, even with her normals (slightly slower than other catalyst users in this aspect and only doing a 3-hit combo), thus while still great for those added crits, it takes some hits to make use of. At a full stack of 5, it gives a nice 40% crit rate boost, that is then lost on the first crit. This loss of the stacks however can make it hard to time with her Charged attacks, as you cannot guarantee it wont be wasted on a normal attack, thus needing to build it up again. Still a solid weapon choice.
  7. Mappa Mare: Probably the favorite of the craftable catalysts. Simple to activate skill for up to 16% Elemental DMG boost at rank 1 along with Elemental Mastery to help boost her reactions. Depending on who Klee is paired with, Elemental Mastery may or may not be an important stat (such as electro/anemo reactions only care about character level and elemental mastery).
  8. Sacrificial Fragments: The Elemental mastery is double that of the Mappa Mare in exchange for a large chuck lower ATK. To add it doesn't help with increasing damage on its ability either. However it does give a 40-80% chance to remove the CD on the elemental skill when used (at most once every 14s). Which can be amazing on Klee. It seems that with characters like Sucrose who have multiple charges proc this, it only resets one charge, so it most likely works the same with Klee. That still means a reset of a single 20s CD, but not as amazing as it would have been if it reset both charges as a whole.
  9. Eye of Perception: Offering the lowest bast ATK that a 4-star can offer (tied with the Sacrificial Fragments above it), it tries to make up for that by having ATK% for its secondary stat. The powerful ability has a 50% chance of activating on any normal or charged attack, dealing a hard hitting attack that can hit up to 4 enemies. Do note that the effect has a 12s CD at Rank 1 (a little long for me), but at Rank 5, it drops to 8s, allowing it to happen more reasonably. Klee doesn't attack quickly though, so that 50% chance happens even rarer. Do note that the damage dealt is also Physical, so it will not benefit from any Pyro DMG boosts Klee is enjoying.
  10. Prototype Malice: Not the number one choice but many already made it. This is the other craftable catalyst and is more seen as a support type than anything else. It's Energy Recharge secondary stat will help get her ultimate up more, along with then offering a small heal on those bursts. It does little to help in damage, but helps with self sustain to herself and the party.

Now on to Artifacts

NOTE that these are my own opinions and are listed in the order I think is more potent. The order of which is better however will change depending on the stats you get on your artifacts, as it is best to find complementing sets. Klee, being a catalyst user has many options for Weapons and Artifacts to choose from.
  1. Crimson Witch of Flames: Ah, the popular pick for Pyro users. The +15% Pyro DMG from the 2-set bonus is amazing with Klee being a Catalyst user, since everything she does is Pyro. The boost to Pyro reactions from the 4-set is great as long as you're using them. With the added bonus of increasing the 2-set bonus the more you use your elemental skill. Given that Klee can double cast her E, it is easy to get two stacks of the 3. However do note that they only last 10s. Essentially the boost isn't as great as it seems, as you will either be at 15/22.5/30/37.5% boost, depending on the number of stacks. That 37.5% looks nice, but isn't possible with Klee, since her skill has a 20s CD and each stack only lasts 10s. So she'll only really be able to peak at 30% Pyro DMG from wearing this set. Thus this set is really for that boost and the boost to her elemental reactions. It does turn the Vaporize modifier from x1.5 to x1.65 and the Melt modifier from x2.0 to x2.15, along with boosting Overload by +40%. Essentially functioning as having 80 Elemental Mastery. For Crit builds, you will still want the Lost Prayer paired with this, despite the swapping, but if you can get enough crit from substats, the Skyward Atlas may be the better pick. Do note that you need to know what you're doing and when reactions are happening to make this set reach its potential. If you're not paying attention, the set can under preform.
  2. Noblesse Oblige: Works if focusing more on her elemental burst, as it gives it a nice +20% DMG boost, while then boosting the party (Klee included) by +20% ATK for 12s on use of one's burst. This does mean that for almost the entire duration of her Burst, Klee herself will be boosted by that +20% ATK. Not a bad choice, but I find this set better on a Burst role character, that just pops in to hit hard, then leave for the Carry to take advantage of the damage boost without the need to equip the set. This set is to be rated much higher if you have her c4. As you'll be popping in and out with her burst nuking, allowing her to buff her allies while exploding in everyone's face. Without her c4, it is less tempting to use this set, landing it in this place. This is by far her best Enabler set if you have c4. Sadly, unlike the Solar Pearl reaction, her c1 does not activate the 4-piece set bonus (tested myself, which then makes we question if the Solar Pearl one works as that redditor claimed.... but cannot test myself....).
  3. Wanderer's Trope: Capitalizing on her spark system and dealing high damage charged attacks. This set offers a permanent +35% DMG boost to those. The +80 Elemental Mastery can of course help when dealing reactions as well. I find this set better than the Martial Artist set, which while easier to obtain, only gives a permanent +15% to charged attacks, while needing to use your skill to get that bumped to +40% for 8s (which sadly Klee's skill has a longer CD than her burst...). With only a 5% higher boost in exchange for 80 EM and it is limited by conditions, Martial Artist works, but is beat out by Wanderer's Trope. Wanderer's Trope, along with the popular Gladiator set are obtained conveniently while you farm up ascension materials and can be obtained at 5-stars earlier than the wait for AR40.
  4. Mix Sets: Essentially, you can always do the common 2-set combos of +15% Pyro DMG, +18% ATK, +12% Crit Rate and the likes. This is what most will start out doing and still works in the end. I personally like having full 4 piece sets, but often times beggars cannot be choosers, especially with how limited Resin is..... Do note that many used 2-set bonuses cap out on 4-star artifacts, such as Sojourner (+18% ATK), Brave Heart (+18% ATK) and Berserker (+12% Crit Rate). A popular mixed set choice that allows all 5-star artifacts would then be Crimson Witch (+15% Pyro DMG) and Gladiator (+18% ATK). Mix Sets (glad/crimson) is probably the go to set for almost any player, as it is the easiest set to use. No thinking required. Just get the bonuses and go. They help everything, making one think "simple is best".
  5. Lavawalker: Honestly I find these defensive sets to be sleeper sets for Catalyst users. Yes, people see that 2-set bonus' on them that only give (lots) of RES in an element, thus ignore them for more immediate DMG boosts (though +40% RES is nothing to scoff at...). HOWEVER the 4-set bonus for these sets gives a +35% DMG boost to any attacks done to an enemy affected by the related element, in this case Pyro. Given that Catalyst users only deal damage in said element, this effect is essentially permanent on all except enemies with an innate element on them. In other words, other than things like slimes, you'll always have a +35% DMG boost, giving more consistent high damage to everything (other than reactions) than even the Crimson Witch of Flames set that is ever so popular. This paired with the Lost Prayer offer the largest burst Klee can do without need of any setup from another character. Given that she can come in with full stacks on Lost Prayer and instantly use the high 35% DMG boost for things being affected by Pyro from this set. THERE IS one big downside to this set though. That is elemental reactions. It doesn't work if the wearer is the triggerer of the elemental reaction. i.e. Melt. The effect for the +35% DMG boost only takes effect if the enemy already has Pyro on them, however to trigger an effect like Melt, they need to have Hydro on them first. Thus that hit that triggers the Melt reaction will not be benefiting from the +35% DMG boost. This is still a good set, but as you can see, if used in Melt comps where Klee is the triggerer, it does not help at all and Crimson Witch is king with all it's effects helping. This is why it has dropped in the ranking. If you decide to solo Klee and forgo ever using reactions, this is probably your best set though....
  6. Gambler: We'll mention this as it isn't necessarily bad and you'll get it if you farm Noblesse Oblige, since they're form the same domain. It offers a 20% DMG boost to the skill instead of the burst, which is nice. It's ability to remove CD on enemy kills once every 15s is nice for Klee, given that her skill has a 20s CD per charge (so up to 40s down time if you double tapped her skill), however if you're fighting a boss target, there are not necessarily adds to kill to use the effect. Generally the 4-set bonus doesn't get used a lot. This set combined with Sacrificial Fragments may turn her into a decent Enabler, allowing two different sources to remove the long CD on her E, allowing for mines galore. I still do not believe this is best, but it is an option to consider. Note that a downside is this set maxes at 4-stars.
  7. Resolution of Sojourner: The last set I'll talk about and probably the easiest for people to obtain (most should already have a full set to use). Offering +18% ATK is always good and the ability on the set works with Klee. Given the focus on charged attacks with her spark system, the added +30% crit rate on charged attacks is great. A very nice starter set and can even work end game with high crit rate builds, allowing her to easily push towards 100% crit rate on her charged attacks. You will need really good stats built around this to really take advantage of it though. Note that a downside is this set maxes at 4-stars.

Stats on gear will generally go as:

Extra Stuff

  • Walk Cancelling your Normal This video actually does a comparison with her Normal Attack Combo without cancels, Walk Cancelling Normal Attacks and Jump Cancelling Normal Attacks. Her Walk Cancelling is the big one to take from this as it greatly speeds up her attacks. Jump Cancelling is the fastest, but is the strictest in its timing and hardest to aim. Walk Cancelling is actually really simple (video is misleading in saying it's hard...), in that all you have to do is hold forward and press your attack button right as Klee's catalyst is about to disappear. By doing this, you can spam her 1st hit of her normal combo with easy for high damage. Whenever you're out of stamina, this is your main way to attack and it is super easy to aim with, as you just push towards your target (given that auto-aim doesn't screw you over). Make sure to learn how to Walk Cancel your Normal Attacks.
  • Normal into Charged Attack cancel. Essentially one of the favored cancel combos that you should use. It's just double tapping normal, holding the second press for the charged attack. Click-Click(hold)-repeat. That simple. Because half of those normals will be generating sparks, half of those charged attacks should be free of stamina cost, allowing Klee to spam this longer than one would think (as long as she's hitting a target). Make sure you learn how to Normal into Charged Attack cancel.
  • Double Normal Attack using jump cancels. Greatly increase your damage output, but even more strict timing with those jump cancels. Not important to learn how to do, it's just here because it is something that can be done if you want....
  • Klee and non-Venti Anemo. Video with Sucrose showing how Anemo's can suck up those mines for fun (not my favorite background music, but the video is fine itself....).
  • BUG with Klee's Charged Attack Damage. If you sprint cancel or jump cancel her charged attack to quickly, it seems to not apply the 50% bonus from the spark. Not that many people do these type of cancels out of a charged attack, but it should be noted that you can lose some of your damage if you do.
  • BUG to farm Matsutake Mushrooms with Klee. You can farm up to 90 Matsutake mushrooms a day (before they stop spawning). You'll also be able to get about the same amount of eggs as well. Super easy to pull of, but you will need to leave the game AFK for 30-40 min to farm it up. The guide on how to do it forgot to mention to just teleport out when you want get unstuck from the bug and then just run back and pick up your loot. If you happen to accidentally destroy the bush needed to be hit in the bug, you'll have to also wait till the next day for the bush to respawn. to try again. It's expected that miHoYo will do something about this (a fix could be removing or moving the bush that's generating all the matsutake and eggs).
  • Maygi's Klee Guide. Another redditor's Klee guide that came out recently. It's always nice to see someone else's opinion as of course, it's not like I can be right about everything.

Was there anything I missed?
I'm waaay to much looking forward to Klee and hope you all are too. She's just adorable and burns the world with a smile on her face.

Going to add once again, Lavawalker is NOT good on Klee or any Pyro character for that case. This is because it has less than 50% uptime when dealing with any type of reactions.
  • The first hit of the set does not get the set boost. (Note that the boost only happens if the target is ALREADY on fire. The attack that sets them on fire does not get the 4-set bonus.)
  • Triggering any reaction removes the aura status on the enemy, bringing you back to zero, needing to apply fire to the enemy again before getting the set boost.
  • Because the target would need to have fire already on it, it can NEVER be used in Melt and Vaporize reactions, since it can never have the boost when triggering the reactions.
  • The set is useless against all Slimes and any other enemy that has an innate element. It is also hampered in any domain and especially the Spiral Abyss that keeps applying elements to enemies, making any it hard to use the set against any difficult content.
This means that if Klee say adds the fire on the enemy and you have something else, say Fischl or Xingqiu triggering an element, the fire is already gone and no boost.
If those characters trigger the effect first and Klee triggers the reaction, again no boost and the target is still not on fire so any follow up attacks still do not get the boost.
Vaporize and Melt, the two best reactions to do, as they're amplifying types, CANNOT be used with the bonus from the Lavawalker set.
If you're lucky, half the time, you'll be able to get the bonus from the set when causing reactions. Making that 35% conditional boost that they're on fire, essentially be a 17.5% boost at best......
Comparing that to Crimson Witch, which gives you an unconditional +15% boost. On top of which you can boost that further by +7.5% or +15% if you spam her E twice, for a conditional 22.5% or 30% boost when needed. ON TOP of which you get essentially +80 worth of EM in elemental reactions she causes. This is by far a better set.
Of course you can go the easy way and do a mixed set as well, which will always be active too.
Lavawalker is ONLY good if you forgo using any elemental reactions and essentially just solo Klee. Doing this will make sure the target stays on fire and you can continually get the boost.
This is of course different from something like Thundersoother, which Electro-reactions don't care about the boost offered, so it isn't losing out on things like that (as Electro-reactions only need EM and character level). So don't go comparing how Keqing does really well with the Thundersoother set. It's not really comparable.
