My name is Arthur Morgan, and I'm a good man.

A month ago, I rewarded myself having finished a graduate program with a much-needed PC upgrade. With a steam controller in hand, I was ready to push my new rig to it's limits, and so I ventured into into the Midwest as Arthur Morgan. I played the entire game, except for horse riding, in first person. Boy am I glad I did this!
Edited to add spoiler tags!
>!I knew little about to expect here. I had seen gameplay footage of silly antics involving old ladies and train tracks, and expected a wild West version of GTA. But I got, was a tragic tale of love, and redemption. Arthur Morgan begins hardened and focused on self-preservation. His sense of community is strong, but is important because of the need to survive, not because of his connection to people. I was wowed by the beginning of this game, not because of a strong hook. From a gameplay standpoint, it was a rather boring beginning. However, rock stars attention to detail was quite evident from the get-go. I had impressive animations for every action I took. I saw some of the best snow physics I've ever seen in a video game, and noticed as each animal left its own unique paw print in the white powder. The beauty of water rashing through the snowy hillside captivated me, and I've helped frigid and alone if it wasn't for my gang.
this was surely different from a GTA game. I just hadn't realized how much yet. Beyond the prologue, Valentine showed me a world that felt similar to Westworld. I gambled in a saloon, bantered with the town folk, and began slowly building a measly nest egg of cash. I was super impressed by the interactions back in camp. It seemed every time I made it home, there was something else new and interesting going on, and new engaging conversation to be had. I really felt myself building relationships with everyone else back in camp, and enjoyed my time there the most.
It wasn't until we landed in the civil war house, that this game went from a great immersive ward with simulator, to an outright excellent and emotionally gripping and tragic tale. Arthur was fascinated by this place, in the history of held, and suddenly his character really started to come through for me. In a similar way, his response to violence and ethical decision making slowly came in a question. He contemplated the decisions he was making, and the lives he was taking. I know man those eyes. Arthur sure was tough, but boy was he soft, at least as I played him.
Saint Denis absolutely blew my mind. I spent so many hours just meandering the streets here appreciating the city. And the side quest here were excellent! I completed every side quest I could find as Arthur from here on out, as it became apparent to me there was not a single wasted NPC breath spend on meaningless dialogue or repetitive quest. Every interaction with the new MPC was a relationship I built.
And then, as Arthur's health spiraled and Dutch went unhinged, I was so immersed I struggled to separate myself from Arthur. Finally, things reached a tipping point as we stumbled across the nun we helped in the city. Her conversation with Arthur brought me to tears, and I realized at that moment there was no hope for Arthur, He had to die, and he had to find a way to redeem himself through love. Preserving John, Abigail, and their son was a way of saving the life of his own family which he lost.
Needless to say, this game blew me away. I didn't fast travel once, as each horse ride offered some new venture into beautiful terrain and engaging interactions. I felt at peace during my fishing trips on the lake, and nervous as heck during my hunting trips for legendary predators. Friday my horse over the mountains, and following the winding trails up into the reservation felt like venturing into a new world. And watching the issues of race and inequality dealt with within this game felt incredibly relevant today.
I am so glad to have stepped into this master piece of the world. I'm so appreciative of the epilogue they gave to really bring closure to everything Arthur had accomplished, lives that he made better through his redemption.!<

Is the casino rigged in your favor?

I've spent at least 20% of my time at the casino since I started playing again, and in total I'm probably around $3.2 million in profit.
Usually when I gamble, I lose, and I expect it, because that's how gambling works. But in GTA my luck seems to be fucking ridiculous. I've won the 1000x jackpot on the $2500 max slot buy, and I walk away with close to $100k profit most of the time I play.
I swear I can't be playing with normal odds, so is the casino rigged in your favor?

He built it in a cave, with a box of scraps! ($200 scrap-build gaming pc for my nephew)

For the laughs, here's a pic of the scrappy guts: https://i.imgur.com/GzZAV0Y.jpg
My 9 year old nephew wants a gaming PC to "do schoolwork and stuff", so I decided to see what I could knock together cheaply. What I ended up with is a decent frankenbuild for less than $200.
The parts:
First, he needs a decent gaming monitor. I had an old ASUS VE247H laying around that I was going to use (a decent 1080p gaming monitor), but instead, I found a Flatiron 120hz w2363d for $25 at a goodwill that was in perfect working order. With its “thru” mode it has 3ms response times and was one of the early low latency high hz monitors (expensive in its day and still plenty good). To run the 120hz I had to go to Amazon and spend $10 on a dual link dvi cable, but that was okay. Having the higher refresh rate is worth it.
$35 in, I needed the rest of the computer. I jumped on facebook marketplace and started eyeballing parts. Lots of people are ripping the guts out of their old rigs to upgrade, or just getting rid of their old machine entirely. One in particular caught my eye. It was a FX 8350 on a motherboard with a couple sticks of ram and a hypercool 212 bolted to the processor (no fan) for $150. I talked him down to $120 and went and bought it. Did I overpay? Maybe... but I felt pretty good about the deal since it had everything I needed on a decent motherboard. eBay says I did fine and could probably sell the set for a small profit.
When I was there, I asked what kind of video card he had in the old beast (figuring he upgraded that as well). He said he had an rx 480 in it, but that the rx 480 was broken/burned out. I offered him twenty bucks for the broken rx 480 (figuring I'd just take a gamble), and he gave it to me. Worst case, my plan was to use an old 780ti I had laying around the house from one of my old build upgrades, but an 8gb 480 would be a better card for this machine (quieter, lower power, and faster in most things).
Now I was in it $175, but I still needed a case and a PSU. I went looking, and I found a coolermaster HAF 912 with a 750 watt PSU and a dvd drive still bolted into it. I talked the guy down to $25 and called it good. I probably should have paid more, but at this point I was determined to get the whole thing built under $200.
Finally, I needed a hard drive. I had an old 512gb SSD and a 2tb regular HD I had laying around from one of my older builds so I just used that. We'll call it free, although I'm sure I paid something for it a few years back :). They came from my drawer of forgotten PC parts, so, recycling for the win!
After getting windows 10 installed, The 8gb "broken" RX 480 was, indeed, broken. It was throttling like crazy at the slightest use and running like hot trash. Clearly, it needed new thermal paste. I pulled the card apart and sure enough, there was a large dry bare spot on the die. I re-pasted it and it's running like brand new. I overclocked it to 1373mhz and was extremely happy with the results. I didn't even have to break my old 780ti out of the drawer of forgotten computer bits. Edit: I ended up undervolting the card at stock speeds to make it quieter and it’s performing almost identically while staying cool and quiet which is awesome)
I didn't have a fan that fit the hypercool 212 so I just strapped a larger fan to the side of it, gave the processor some new thermal paste, and bolted everything together.
Finally, I did a little overclocking. That ram turned out to be ddr3 running at 2000, which was pretty good, and with a mild overclock I had the 8350 pushing 4.4ghz comfortably (it was stable at even higher speeds, but with the screwy cooler fan I had on there I didn't want to stress it, and I didn't feel like spending more money for better cooling).
The end result is a scrappy pile of bits that runs remarkably well. The SSD is fast and windows loads extremely quickly. Everything is snappy. I tested a few games out. GTA V's benchmark on high everything 1080p ran steadily between 70 and 110+fps without ever dipping below 60. Overwatch is pushing 200 FPS on ultra with 100% scaling at 1080p, which is fine. Minecraft runs beautifully, and frankly, I couldn't find a game that I cared about in my steam library that didn't run exceptionally well. Most of them pegged the refresh rate on the monitor without any issues at high settings 1080p.
The old 8350 and that rx 480 still has some life left :). I spent a little extra putting a few good-for-9-year-old games on there (portal 2, minecraft, fortnite) and it's done. For $200, I'd have a hard time doing any better. I mean, this thing is hitting passmark and benchmark scores pretty damn close to my primary gaming rig downstairs (to be fair, that’s just a 4790k with a gtx 980 in it - but that machine happily runs everything I care about at 165hz on my high refresh rate 1440p predator). I’m impressed with the 8350/rx 480 combo.
(okay okay, I'll still had to spend $10 on a keyboard, $25 on a steelseries rival mouse, $50 on some cloud stinger headphones, and $10 on a nice mouse pad, but hey, we're going to pretend I didn't do that)
I still need to dust everything off (forgive the dust in the pic, I just haven't bothered cleaning it up yet), and then I hand it over. Hell, I've had this machine on my desk upstairs for a few days (sitting next to my work imac) and I'm actually going to miss it. I've been enjoying having a few latenight overwatch sessions on this old beast.
I think it'll be good for a few years of high quality fun, at any rate :).

How GTA Online turned from a great game to a complete money syphoning clusterf*ck

Don't get me wrong, I still love to play GTA Online to this day but it disapoints me what it turned to and how it changed alot since 2013 into much worse.
Let's talk about online connectivity which is main problem. It takes literally 15 minutes just to get kicked back to SP due Rockstar's crappy P2P online which in-hand is one reason why whole lobby becomes buggy and glitchy when somebody joins with terrible connection. Rockstar hasn't also bothered to improve that and their cloud servers that fail every evening. Just to top it off with infinite loading screens that occur very often causing players to totally reboot their game and waste of more of their time just for game to be stuck at loading screen again.
Futurization has improved the game and extended its lifespan but gave griefers and tryhards new toys to fuck with low levels, afk players basically everyone on lobby. Some of futuristic vehicles were great and helped people defend themselves and grind faster and better but some completely ruined freemode such as Oppressor MK2 (not a bad vehicle at all, actually one of best grinding vehicles, the only problem are people who abuse it to kill everybody in lobby).
Orbital cannon has indeed really ruined freemode and grinding forever. Just imagine this, you're selling 111 crates of special cargo in public session probably to avoid super accurate NPC I'm gonna talk about later, and all that hard work just to be blown up by some kid ducking in his facility spending money he got from his mommy's credit card. There's no occasion and awareness to know when you're gonna get orbed unless you're checking for people who are in facilities. People might say that 750k to kill somebody is balanced, uhmmm not. People can just leave immediatly after they orb someone and rejoin back with their money still there and no cooldown at all. And problem is, it cannot be patched cause it's cloud server exploit. Great job Rockstar !!!
Glitches are also one big problem GTA has been struggling. I don't have anything against people who glitch their money but people who glitch to be un-killable or to destroy somebody's cargo immediatly are worst. There are glitches that let you go godmode and ones that let you teleport which have not been patched for years. There are also glitches that completely ruin your game such as Titan glitch and are also left alone for years. Rockstar clearly ignores these glitches and patches ones that are harmless and money making just to save Shark Card sales. It's incredible to see game company having their mouth full open for money. They became too greedy even more than EA and Activision combined together.
Talking about patching glitches, Rockstar has double standards when it comes to releasing hotfixes. Remember duffel sale bag mission ?? It had one very rare bug that was able to be fixed easy but what Rockstar did ??? They completely removed the mission leaving us stuck with terrible missions such as Post Op van one. They bugged Bombushka cargo door after seeing players use it for grinding and patched the Avenger crate glitch only because players made boring and repetitive 3 crate mission faster !!! They also made hotfix to Casino Heist adding rock in middle of nowhere. They blocked vault door and added additional guards on race track after noticing people finishing casino heist fast. They have also patched gender change glitch which was just changing character gender for 100k !!! They have done alot more but I'm not gonna mention anymore harmless things patched.
When it comes to cargo-griefing, that's what annoys me. Rockstar is completely PROMOTING cargo griefing to players just so they can increase their shark card sales. When you try to defend yourself, you lose 10k and get badsport, but griefer gets only 2k after destroying 1 mil goods. Rockstar actually supports that acting unaware about many players complaining about cargo griefing. This is not how you gain playerbase Rockstar, this is just how you lose them in matter of a seconds.
Anti-cheat system is almost to non-existent. People can easily bypass the anti-cheat system and bomb lobbies by using mod menus. Those also get away with bans when innocent players get their characters reset for no reason. How in the hell can you let modders have fun destroying the game while innocent players are just trying to play the way it's meant to be played ??? Talking about casino chips glitch bans, isn't Rockstar overreacting too much ?? Players exploit your game to get money due to boring, terrible and repetitive grinding. Instead of patching the glitch, you go out and ban everybody who just gets penny from it ?!?!? I'm never gonna understand.
AI is another lazy-developed thing with this game. NPC's have ridicously good aim, rapid fire and sped up animations making every mission pain in the ass. Not only that, they'll even manage to headshot you blinding firing or from very far distance. What about traffic AI also ? It seems like that they're programmed to crash into you everytime you're doing I/E. Has Rockstar even tested their game before releasing not knowing about problems that will occur ?? Probably not...
And last but not least, overpriced items. This has angered many players causing them to buy shark cards so you can get money. Why the hell supercar that's gonna be used once costs +2 mil. Why the hell bodysuits and even more irrelevant clothes cost +300k. Why do many vehicles that are already expensive need to have even more expensive paywalls ??? Well two words, shark cards. Arena update was pretty much worst serving as Rockstar's money laundering scheme due to terribly overpriced items and vehicles. Isn't 1.4 mil for RC car too much ??
Bonus thing we have is Casino resort. Rockstar just dropped the ball with it as they PROMOTED GAMBLING !!!! You can get in-game money with real money, then convert that money into chips you're gonna lose in matter of seconds cause whole Casino is rigged to boost up shark card sales. That is in-game gambling being almost the same as REAL gambling. No wonder Casino is blocked in half of the world countries.
This is gonna be the end of my opinion. There are much more things to cover but this feels already more than enough needed. Read this and get it to yourself that Rockstar became what they parodied about in past.

PSA: You can change which odds your horses get in single player inside track.

(If someone can help me format this so it's easier to read I would appreciate it. It's been edited to add more info a bunch of times and I feel every time I try to explain something it just leads to more questions)
I made 2 million so far in profit just by reseting every time to get 3x payout horses first and then just betting on horse number 1 every time. You probably need around 200k chips to get through any swings but over time if you max bid every time you basicly can't lose.
Not sure if it's bugged or if it's really supposed to be this easy to make money in the casino.
Edit: to reset just back out to the 3rd person screen without getting out of your chair and then back in again. This can be done in around 1 second or less.
This is an example of what a good bet could look like. Obviously if you get 3/1 in first and 5/1 in second or whatever it's still a good bet. https://i.imgur.com/YROMx4Z.jpg
https://i.imgur.com/uCE9Jzp.jpg
2nd edit: It would have been 3 mil profit, but I spent 500k on penthouse stuff and lost another 500k playing blackjack. Avoid any other game like the plague shits rigged AF.
made another 300k since I posted this (30 ish mins of gambling, did some missions aswell) https://i.imgur.com/6EcNgWN.jpg
3rd edit: Sorry for confusing format, the idea is basicly to minimize chance of losing to the 2nd horse in the race so you want that horse at 5/1 odds while the first horse should be at either 4/1 or lower. If you add the odds of all 6 horses in the race it should be less than 1/1 in total even though 1 horse will always win. This is the margin for profit essentially. Basicly if you bet on the correct races you will have a player edge rather than the house having an edge.
4th edit: Variance is a thing and while you won't win every single race you will be making money over time. Please stop PMing after not having made 2 million dollars after running like three races. There is no such thing as a certain bet. This is simply an inflated payout compared to the odds of winning.
5th edit: alright guys last edit to main post to explain what I mean by the player edge.
It's basic math. The odds of the horses on the screen reflect their chance of winning and in turn also reflect their payout. If you look at the first picture I linked as an example of a good bet you can see that.
https://i.imgur.com/YROMx4Z.jpg
Horse 1: 2/1 payout, chance of winning (33.33%)
Horse 2: 5/1 payout, chance of winning (20%)
Horse 3: 6/1 payout, chance of winning (16.67%)
Horse 4: 8/1 payout, chance of winning (12.5%)
Horse 5: 16/1 payout, chance of winning (6.25%)
Horse 6: 21/1 payout, chance of winning (4.76%)
If you add them all together, what do you get? Roughly 93.51%
This is also why I dont bet on races with evens in first place because they have a 50% chance of winning but when you add it all together you will notice it cutting into your edge and depending on horse 3, 4 5 and 6 might even give the house an edge.
However since there are no draws in the horse race and someone always has to win this leaves you with a 6.49% player edge in this particular race.
What this means is that if you would be able to bet 10000 on all the 6 horses in the same race you would make a profit. Because the payout is inflated compared the probability any given horse will win.
It's similar to a casino offering a coin toss with a 3 dollar payout for the price of 1 dollar per bet.
This means that if you would bet 1 dollar on heads and 1 dollar on tails. It doesn't matter which one wins because the payout is 3 dollars. So in theory every time you bet you will be making 50 cents per dollar. (bet 2 dollars, win 3 dollars. Simple right?)
Now no casino in their right mind would do this because it's basicly giving out free money. Even if you can only bet on 1 side at time and you lose 20 times in a row. If you make enough bets you will eventually make a profit. This is why I believe the races will get changed eventually because it's the only game in the casino where there is a player edge.
In GTA you can only bet on 1 horse at a time but because of the player edge in certain races you are more likely to make money over time due to the inflated payouts.
I'm really bad at explaining things, I get that. I only made this post because the first time I looked at the payouts for the horse races it looked to good to be true. If someone here knows how to teach or explain things feel free to give me a hand.
I have already put like 10 times more effort into explaining this than I ever intended. I just want to go back to upvoting memes.

Is anybody else tired of the grind?

Seriously, i'm so tired of the way modern gaming is going. Everything is freemium, and everything is stupid. Rockstar used to be above the pettiness, but now they're, in my eyes, the forerunners of freemium. I put up with Rockstar's freemium stuff for a long time. The grinding of the game ever since it moved to next-gen really bugged me to no end, but i ignored it and still played the game and supported Rockstar because i loved the game, and loved their company. That love has been shattered by the Casino.

As i said before, i ignored how grindy the CEO work, gun running, MC club and other assets were, because i figured if i continued to play, it would help support Rockstar. But i'm livid with how blatantly uneven the casino is. I started today with 800,000 chips. The slot machines today dropped me down to 400,000 chips (I DIDN'T GET A SINGLE NON-INSTANT WIN PAYOUT, the diamonds for example, or the ankh). NOT ONE. And then, playing high limit blackjack, the dealer got a blackjack EIGHT TIMES, to drop me down to 90,000 chips.

I'm sorry, but you can't tell me that's not rigged. And yes, i know gambling is frustrating IRL, but not THAT crazy. In real life, the stupid blackjack dealer isn't getting eight blackjacks in 14 games. It's just not possible. And same with the slot machines, eventually you would get some sort of a payout (and i know for sure, i worked in a casino and gambled more often than i like to admit). As someone who worked in a real casino, i KNOW the house always wins, but not that hard. The odds of the casino in the game are laughably bad.

I just don't understand how Rockstar does this to loyal fans. I've been playing the series since GTA 3. The turn to freemium Rockstar has taken is sickening. It feels like every decision they make with the game is to force the player to buy shark cards, or frustrate the player somehow. Remember all the outrage from the community when they released the Oppressor Mk 2? Or when they altered passive mode so you could no longer use it on weaponized vehicles and there's a cooldown after you kill a player? As a long time fan of Rockstar, it's so hard for me to support them anymore when it feels like every decision they make is a middle finger to the fanbase.

I know i'm going to sound whiny to people reading this, but i know for damn sure i'm not the only one with grievances over Rockstar the past few years. If i had a game company, i would NEVER push the player to purchase micro-transactions, and with GTA V having made Rockstar over 3 billion just in game sales alone, you would think they wouldn't push microtransactions so hard either. The monetary greed of this company has reached critical limits, and it's so depressing to see. The casino has just been the cherry on top of my grievances.

SFFPC for girlfriend: Work + casual gaming (transportability a huge plus)

Build Help/Ready:

Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do)
Yes.
What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.
Gaming/work rig for my girlfriend who has only ever had consoles + laptops but has recently expressed an interest in getting a desktop to game on (after falling in love with using mine whenever she has a chance). She wants something non-gamer looking, and she always assures me she prefers them on the smaller side ;) My girlfriend bikes to/from work, 25min each way, so I'm tempted to get something as compact and light as possible to basically replace her aging laptop (she will have peripherals/monitors both at home and work). She is a treasurer in a small-ish organization, so most of her work consists of Excel and Outlook i.e. nothing heavy. I am split between getting something "larger" (Node 202) with a bit more performance (dedicated GPU) for gaming, or something much smaller but more transportable (InWin Chopin) but with less performance. See the two suggested builds.
If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings)
1080p 60hz. Her current games are WoW Classic, GTA V and SotTR, but she doesn't mind not being able to crank graphics to high/ultra.
What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?
Max $800-900, preferably less.
In what country are you purchasing your parts?
Denmark.
Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!).

Provide any additional details you wish below.
The trade-off between the two is clearly performance vs transportability. My questions to the /buildapc/ community is first of all, would the 2400g be okay for her needs? I know it can run all the games listed, but question is whether the experience would actually be enjoyable for her. With Build 2 I am also sort of gambling for the next round of APUs from AMD being a substantial upgrade and compatible with AM4 while still being within 150w system power draw. No one but AMD knows, so I am unsure how wise that gamble is. Second, I am wondering if the Node 202 build would really be practical for every day transport when it comes down to it - it would just fit in her backpack, but including GPU, CPU cooler etc it would come out at almost 5kg - a bit heavier than I'd like seeing as she has to bring it on bike. Would it even be sturdy enough to take this transport on the daily? Maybed there is a case that would be a better alternative and still fit the needs/price range?
Thank you for reading, looking forward to some feedback :)

My Teenage Gambling Problem (summary and tl;dr on the bottom)

Hello, I am a 16 year old with gambling problems. Started gambling at around the time I discovered TF2 at the age of 12, started trading out of boredom and several months later I hit 10 dollars on my in-game inventory. I was super hyped out about it because my parents won't allow me to buy anything online, this includes games too so me being a 12 year old I was just super grateful about it. I continued to trade just to get more and more until one day, somebody in a random trade server decided to giveaway an item worth 47.5 dollars IF they manage to trade the gifter first. What do you know nobody believed in him in the first 10 seconds but I just sent him a trade notification, he accepted and I was psyched beyond believe as I just got an item worth more than my allowance in 6 months around that time. So with 48 bucks I decide to finally (FINALLY) buy two games, CSGO just because its a very popular new fps game at that time, SR3 because I forgot to buy GTA IV instead.
With the remaining money, I decide to spread the keys ( TF2'S item currency ) for in game items and such to invest, a few bad decisions on trading I managed to turn 30 dollars of items in 2014 to 10 dollars of items in 2015. To top it off I got scammed by a raffler that i stupidly believed, he was raffling this 150 dollar unusual and all i had to do was to enter all my stuff and invite people to enter his raffle so ME, I can win that. It was like the holy grail in my desperate eyes and brain, I was like screw it and I immediately traded him the items and I leeched off a lot of people in my steam friend list (almost 200). What do you know he is still in my friend list after a few weeks but when I confronted him he just uses shit excuses and unfriend me.
And now I have nothing else, burnt out. So in the mid emergence of CSGO Website gambling, I watched a lot of CSGO Youtubers, with that too ALMOST all of them are sponsored with CSGO Gambling websites and they offered 0.5 dollar worth of website balance and they all said that I could "win" hundreds of dollars if i gamble it smart. So I tried almost all website and obviously I didn't win any crap, and later I searched for gambling websites with free referral codes and there was this one website that was basically roulette, just with the 1x, 2x, 5x, and 50x system with a 1 dollar referral code. Entered it, wasted 4 hours non stop and what do you know. I just won 100 dollars, yep that's right a 100 fucking dollars. Seems like a minor win but I was never allowed any allowances for online game items, top it off with a shitty 2GB GT 210 Rig that is probably worth only 50 dollars in 2016. I was shocked and happy as fuck, in my mind i was like I could finally buy all the things I wanted, TF2 Unusuals, expensive CSGO Skins, and a lot of fucking games. But, there was only one stop. The one stop that would ruin me and scar me for life, the deposit restriction. All I had to do was deposit 10 dollars, 10 fucking dollars. So I asked some close friends if I can borrow their items and I promised them I will return it double the amount, long story short on that scenario I got betrayed because nobody wanted to because they are scared they will get scammed (even though i am their IRL friend). After feeling betrayed I decide to gamble it all away, the 100 dollars I earned in 4 hours all out of luck, from 1 dollar. After taking considerably big losses, a guy by the username of Adolf Hitler added me and given me some advice on where to place the bets on a sunday morning. And the advices were pretty much shit because I just lost it all in 10 minutes, I immediately unfriend and blocked him off steam and I just stared blanky on the screen, not knowing what I have done. My mind was racing to hell, and I don't even know anymore. 100 dollars was a lot to me even now in 2019, its the kind of money that my parents would probably get a heart attack if I asked them for that amount of money. And this is where all it began
Fast forward to late 2016, my growtopia crap finally is worth something and at around early 2017. I sold off a total of 40 dollars amount of growtopia items to CSGO items, i held these items for three weeks and all of the sudden I get a relapse again, the fucking gambling relapse. So I returned to that website, with only 0.3 cents worth of coins. I deposit ALL of my csgo inventory items, it was around 60 dollars with the inventory having my previous giveaway win that was worth 15 dollars and some left over birthday money i guess. And in short, I lost it all again, this time I have the urge to commit suicide. I actually hit my head a lot of times and I almost sliced my wrist, it was a mental breakdown really. Loneliness in school coupled with this is just very unhealthy for the mental health. I was still in mental breakdown so I decide to go to the second floor porch and sit, just sit and look into the sky to what I have become. I was once a grade A student until depression hit me at the very young age of 9 due to a lot of bullying, my grades drop hard and fast forward to the mental break down I was having. I was just looking at the sky again and I decide to watch on youtube on help for gambling addiction, I denied it for 1 and a half years and now I have seen everything, people struggling with debt, depression, alcoholism, all because of roulette. They are all adults and I am only 15 at the time, so it was time for me to change. I didn't get any significant grade increase by any chances but I got happier at least, and I finally stopped gambling. Then after all the the gambling drama with my self I asked my dad again for the last 3 years to buy me a new computer, just this time I asked seriously and he just straight up said no with a straight face. This is where I hit depression real hard, no gambling involved now but good god the depression can't be covered up anymore. I was a dead man walking really and finally my holy father noticed how depressed I am and offered me to search a new PC with him. My face went lighted up and well It was a long search ( almost 6 hours ) but finally got the perfect deal with a full rig for 400 dollars, it was an upgrade I have been waiting for. The seller sent it to us after 1 hour of transaction, I don't know how my dad convinced him to send the item by himself but oh well. After the new PC purchase I became a new kid, no more grim and edgy feelings, just maybe a little morbid and weird but never too edgy. My grades didn't went up anyway and my mother was disappointed but I am now a reformed man, promised myself to not get depressed anymore and (I didn't since that day)

Now, it's 20 October 2017. And it's my birthday (Hurray!!), came to school expect nothing but maybe a couple of greets and surprises here and there. Went to my friends class to tell them about my birthday and they said happy birthday to me, standard stuff. But suddenly one of my friends named Been just gave me a present, a present that actually saved my life. It is a 20 dollar skin, a goddamn skin I shit you not. I was super fucking excited and man, I want to hug him but tbh it's kinda too early for that so I just said thank you a million times. After schools over I went home and cried, none of my friends had actually gave me that much money for a gift. I just adored the gift he gave for a couple of hours, looking at my screen and looking at that shiny skin, oh good lord so many trading potential but I hold it off until 3 weeks later. I asked him if I can trade it and he said go ahead since its mine anyways.
Now it's late 2017, finally got it to around 30 dollars. But I just discovered an exploit on a TF2 trading website with bots that pretty much made me to 100 dollars in short. After getting that sweet sweet cash I cashed it out of paypal and there I am, redeeming my self of years of hurting myself from gambling. I cashed out that 100 dollars worth of TF2 to 87.78 dollars of IRL money from paypal to my dads bank account and I bought an used keyboard( Corsair Strafe ) and a used headset i got for 35 dollars (Sennheiser PC 360). And after that cash out it seals my gambling addiction and my journey from trading, now I live a happy life as a student, a normal kid. If i counted it right it would be almost more than a year without gambling now.
Writing all of this took me 40 minutes, but it was the best way to let it all out man. Gambling addiction is very serious especially if you start at the young age, I hope you all taught your kids to be aware of these stupid gambling websites because it may just ruin their lifes. Got very emotional writing this but it was well worth it. I know no one will read this goddamned essay for sure but thank you for taking the time to maybe read the summary, have a good day folks and I hope you all can overcome your personal problems.
tl;dr : started to play and trading in video games, lost all the items and got into gambling addiction thanks to youtubers advertising gambling websites alongside irl problems, lost all the referral money and then lost money that I earned and almost killed myself, overcame all of that just to go to depression again. Bought a new PC after dad realizes and then gifted an item by my friend, traded it off to 100 dollars and finally stopped gambling and trading for good.

Corsair warranty claim valuation

System info 4790k, h100i V2, MSI Z97 G5, 32gb Corsair vengeance LP ram, 980ti, and couple of SSD's and a HDD, Corsair air 540 case.
I built my system in the summer of 2015 and it's been a beast upon until late September this year when the H100i V2 pump died and my CPU took a massive dump, could no longer be OC'd and even running at stock temps in any decent game such as EFT, ArmA3, GTA V etc would sky rocket meaning I'm left with a none overclockable Google machine instead of the decent gaming rig I once had.
I put the damage claim into Corsair for the H100v2, 4790K and the MSI Z97 gaming 5 mobo.
Corsair have assed the damage and will be shipping me a new H100v2 but here's the issue, They only value my CPU at £168 and the mobo at £61 going by their "Current market value" which by doing some quick research is basically what are they going for on eBay. So I can have a "new" cooler but have to take a gamble on a second hand CPU and mobo, not knowing to what ends they've been used and abused too?
When I built the rig the 4790k was the most popular consumer range CPU which cost me £310 , now it's obsolete pcpartpicker suggests the equivalent CPU i7 is the 8700k, but that means mobo and ram are obsolete too.
My question is "am I expecting too much? Should I have to settle for a 2nd CPU and mobo to get back up and running again or is the offer of £220 too low?
It's close to Christmas and with 4 kids (one life limited - which means due to his disability disabled toys are more expensive - don't get me started, but I wanted explain why I mentioned it) I just don't have the spare funds to really accept Corsair's offer. Am I being unreasonable pcmasterrace?
Thanks in advance for your time.

It’s a stylish casino with lots of slots; blackjack, baccarat and poker games. Despite that, there’s a big issue in the establishment. The games, more so slots, seem rigged.
